Awesome video! The chocolate factories use the same amount of chocolate per letter. I If you have a letter like the M or W, they just make the letter a little thinner. If you have an I, they put a Siamese twin-I in the box. ;)
Dutch peanutbutter from Calve is the best there is. We normally butter the sandwich and then apply the peanutbutter since it’s less ‘butter’ than eg Skippy. You can also add some white sugar on top of it. Try it! We usually eat stroopwafels cold except for the supersized ones sold on the streets
A lot of people sprinkle crystal sugar over the peanut butter, it also gives it an extra crunch, but most of the time i put Sambal Manis (chilli jam) on it! 🤤😋✌🏼
I'm an American living in Europe (for a long time now) and I have to say that Dutch peanut butter is better than American. Once you lose the taste for sugar, it's hard to eat American peanut butter.
Ah the letter discusion on choclate content , people would go nuts for the letters M an W as they contained the most chocolate , how ever every letter weighs the same. An A would be the same weight to the I and the same to the Z .
@@weirdpaulp Ah there have been many people doing the calculations on how thick something has to be to have the optimum molds to make them ,there is for example has a bit of a bell shape to the letters and a a bit of a thicker base to the top and bottom giving it some extra surface, while keeping the thickness the same. as we all know width x lenght x height is volume so they play around with it . to get the letters the right sizes and thickness. There is a lot of math going in to these molds. There are entire companies that only do the math on how to economize on materials used for packaging like tin cans. Its actualy impresive how they do it.
I love our Peanut Butter so much that i don't allow myself to buy it for most of the year. I would just eat spoon fulls. I have a farmers metabolism we get big fast😂
That calve is the best peanut butter I've ever had. Found about it when I went to Amsterdam back in the late 90's. So much better than anything made here in the states.
Hey Paul, I used to have trouble with peanut butter and fried foods after my gallbladder surgery. I started taking digestive aids that contained either ox bile or porcine bile in them, and they've helped me a ton with heavy eating. Super Enzymes by Now Foods is a good one. You can find them at any farmers market. Best of all they're natural. Just a tip.
@@weirdpaulp Oh my gosh that's so cool! I absolutely love the nostalgia of video. But you make it look so easy! I recently left a VHS tape of mine from '98 to a photo developer for them to convert it to mp4, it cost me 90 dollars for about 2 hrs of film!
Hello Paul I found you from another UA-cam and apparently you were the first ever UA-camr in the world and I just wanted to say you are awesome and keep doing what you are doing you legend 👏 I love you Paul and you are the best

Chilli jam? Wow!
Hi Paul dutchie here every chocolate letter in the alphabeth weights the same;)
That's crazy! They can do anything these days
The almond is probably the marzipan filling.
ahhhh
Its not Marzipan. Its almond paste

I think that sugar is the biggest difference. I am a European, living in the USA and now I am used to American peanut butter.

How does this work? Witchcraft?

Interesting. Do you remember, "Mutual Surrender (What A Wonderful World)" by Bourgeois Tagg? (1986, No. 62 on the Hot 100)
I remember Bourgeois Tagg but not so much that song.
Yeah dude!
:)
You are a king Paul I love you and your consistent posting and content.
I think it's marzipan in the speculus
Oh wow. I had no idea, but I only had marzipan once and that was last year.
Yes, that's what it smells like. Marzipan and gevulde speculaas have the same main ingredient: almonds. They say that cyanide has the same smell.
