This is amazing! I have so many reasons I love it, but here are a few: 1. You capture the essence of the characters so well in their facial expressions, as well as in their face shape, which remains consistent. 1a. Damian is pudgyish, as in the movie and musical, and his eyes are the source of a lot of his expression. Maybe that's why the comedy transferred so well. 1b. Janis' eyes are in that sort of permanently-eye-rolling state with her lids down and her eyeliner 1c. Cady's nose is PERFECT. I know that sounds odd but trust me. It is. Also you added her freckles! 1d. Karen. Everything about Karen, the way she's drawn, animated, everything. 2. You storyboarded this very well! The composition of the frames is wonderful! I particularly like the camera panning around Regina's body and Karen's "MY NAME IS KAREN I MAY NOT BE SMART" 3. This animatic is one of the few I've seen that manage to go above and beyond in telling the story rather than just putting pictures to music. p.s. sorry for the 2nd graders who feel the need to mention heathers over and over to annoy you. do you have something against it? they're both excellent movies/musicals but take very different approaches. they don't really overlap much except with barrett wilbert weed and the whole "trio of high school royalty" thing.
