SHIN was previously Ragnarok. He's pretty veteran but hasn't won any high profile tournaments yet (except maybe this 2024 wardi and the 2020 wardi tournaments).
@@aaronalquiza9680 It wasn't a tournament win, but his sniping of Serral in 2022 Katowice which kept Maru and Oliveira from having to play Serral was very notable too.
Outplayed strategically. It's a shame that in recent years with a stable meta and long scene, strategic victories aren't nearly as common as wins through "simply being better at the game".
Actually the queen does 2x4 vs the drones 1x5 damage. 11.2 DPS vs 4.67 DPS and benefits from attack upgrades, which don't help workers unfortunately. Of course it's not very high damage for such an expensive unit, but it is a healer + tank so it would be absolutely insane if it had great damage
All thanks to baneling nerf. Clem hasn't changed his playstyle for almost a decade now (marine medivac mine harass every single game). And he gets rewarded with balance changes.
Strategic loss from Clem in a completly irrelvant tournament to prevent T. from getting nerfed? If yes, it would be a very clever move. And since I think Clem IS very clever, it seems very possible. Lose in irrelevant tournaments that the win statistics don't get too high - and benefit in the significant tournaments from a not-nerfed race.
This is a common strategy taken by pros of ANY competition from chess to football to computer games. It really is art of war-esque to hide all of your strategies. "All warfare is based on deception" - Sun Tzu We saw Ding Liren skip games in a tournament against his next world championship match opponent. Just to hide his play style/preparation. Happy in Warcraft 3 regularly throws/handicaps himself in ladder games to avoid giving his competition any good practice vs his full power. Then of course, there's garbage matchfixing.
when i saw shin v clen 18 minute video BO3 i..... not what i was expecting at all !
right!!!!!!! good job Shin!
watching you learn more about the game @11:56 is one of the many reasons i love the way you cast
Damn. Where was this Shin at the world championship?

I was waiting for someone to cast this game since I'm curious how someone was able to make Clem human again. 😃
.
Man, Shin won game 1 so hard and Clem lost game 2 so hard.
Spoiler:
It's crazy how roach ravenger can fight, mmm.
Damn, Clem looked Human

Rogue's influece =]
This makes me happy ❤ watching Clem get smashed by a zerg 😂
Me too. I love terran tears flowing out lol
So Shin is officially better than Serral? Awesome
You would think the queen does a lot more damage at melee range.. its actually less than a drone.

@@PiGCasts 2x4! that makes more sense. also, omg a technical breakdown directly from PiG :O
Clem is really bad at defending, looked like an amateur
Wow
guess clem is weak to cheese builds.
Clem is getting close to Serral level in greatness may be, but Serral nvr loses such match ups against lesser known players

Oh really? Ironic then that it was Shin that knocked Serral out of the world championship in 2023.
