I am sure in the interlude quest in 2.1 we will get more answers but what i got from the Trailblaze quest is "Question everything and nobody is realy our ally as everyone has their own agenda"
There's only one person I 100% trust during the penacony quest beside the express crew, and that person is Dr ratio. Buuuttt he left immediately so....
It's no longer a meme, this arc is actually written by the writer of HI3rd's darkest and saddest arcs, Shaoji, who made me cry for 5 hours straight in chapter 30 and 31. Because of how powerful his death scenes has been, the deaths in Penacony so far are actually the least impactful death scenes he has ever written; Almost like they were intentional, like maybe no one actually died. There is very little emotional attachment to Firefly and Robin because we only know them for a short time, literally only a couple of hours, compared to how Shaoji would build up characters over a whole year in HI3rd before killing them off in the greatest send offs in all of fiction. These deaths has to be just set ups for what would actually destroy our soul later on.
I actually wanna know about the chapter/ arc in Honkai Impact. I heard so many good things about the story. But I'm so lazy to read it or play HI3, plus I don't have a lot of free time as much as back in the day. If only there's an compressed version/video of the story in UA-cam where I can Speedrun through the story. 😅
@@muhdazhad04There's actually a lore guy on Hi3 who is HomuLabs. He did recap on all the Hi3 story so far, basically a quick summary of all the plots with precise explanation. I recommend you checking him out, the format is good and the summary is perfect
Also there's a small note: Misha is invisible to everyone except Trailblazer just like Clockie. During the check-up, March didn't see him. Also during the part Clockie asking Trailblazer to save Misha and Acheron, Acheron mention there's an entity she can sense near her and her line of sight points to Misha, not Clockie. The biggest theory is Misha is the Clockwork Legacy and we might see his True form like Dan Heng
My theory is that Misha is some sort of "door" or "treasure," which his eye shape suggests. Once opened, we will get the answer to the Watchmaker's legacy. And as to the manner of "opening" Misha, we... may have to sacrifice him... Edit after 2.2: I was barely hitting the bullseye lmaooo
The Firefly scene was shocking, yes. Especially with how brutal it was. But we know her for so little time and most of it she seems to be hiding a lot of things that it wasn't really that sad. I'm expecting she's either not really dead, she was double tricking us (as everybody seems to do in Penacony) or she'll come back in a different shape (like Robin or Sam or someone else). If she actually did die then they may have jumped the gun a little. Gotta give these characters a bit more time to build a connection with.
It personally happened the same with me, I wont reprimand people that liked her, but I was pretty cautious around her, and when she died I felt like something was missing, it just made it more suspicious for me.
@@xiabigsisThe song is SO good. It made me feel so many emotions when I first heard it. That’s probably because I’m the type to get emotional to music though…
I have a theory that the first time we see Sampo it was actually sparkle because he confused firefly for march which is very weird thing for him to do considering she was glued to us in belobog
Its also a dead give away on how he introduces himself majority of the time he always introduces himself with his full name sampo koski but when sparkles was impersonating him she only said im sampo
How did you even know that when we didnt even know sparkle's abilities in the 1st place? But yeah it was a dead giveaway when "he" confused firefly as march
@@mars__1400I only got to the story a few days ago myself and although I didn't see spoilers as soon as he called firefly March I instantly went "that ain't him, what's happening". The game wanted us to be sus even tho we didn't know what of yet.
Aside from the twists, this quest was soo creepy and ominous and all in all just dark compared to anything we previously did in the game. Finding robins dead body was low key terrifying lol
there's two things that make me VERY uncomfortable with what happened. 1) the fact Trialblazer gets the 'angry' gear but doesn't lash out in ANY way when the Firefly scene happened... I had expected them to go into Stellaron-rage mode, ngl... and I'm now suspecting this might happen in the Penacony story finale. 2) the fact that the ONLY person we met in Penacony that is REMOTELY trustworthy is *Sparkle* of all people. Acheron? Suspicious. Black Swan? working with Aventurine. Aventurine? No clue what HIS agenda is. Ratio is Ratio. Sunday is the Head of The Family, we don't know anything what he's up to. This leaves Sparkle, Misha and Sam. Sam is a Stellaron Hunter so he won't *hurt* us, but we also don't know what Elio's plan is for Penacony. Misha seems innocent enough but again, there's sprinkles of weirdness thrown around with him and the name Mikhail. This leaves Sparkle, who while posing as several people just for the lolz for chaos, does something NO ONE ELSE DOES. She immediately, in her Sampo disguise, shows us in a subtle and later not-so-subtle way that things are not as they seem and instructs us to dive deeper for the truth of Penacony and not trust anybody (including herself in Sampo disguise). She is the ONLY ONE that flat-out tells us 'Hey there's some weird shit going on, you better stay on your toes and look out for anything that might reveal the truth of this place.' Adding to that is that Sparkle, even though she is unhinged and a Masked Fool, she has some STRONG convictions against the IPC and The Family.
1) To be fair, Trailblazer's emotional range has always been all over the place. It is also possible to roleplay your relationship with Firefly in a way that makes you cold/indifferent to her, so it might be that the devs didn't want to assume. In the scene, Trailblazer shows the kind of shock you'd have to see someone you know die in front of you, and that's it. Either that, or Robin's hacking has some deeper subtleties to it we don't know of yet. Speaking of Robin, it's interesting that Trailblazer's reaction to her death is even more emotional than to Firefly's. 2) Aventurine's life literally depends on completing this mission, so yeah, one more reason to be distrustful. Misha is going to be a centerpiece: he's the only thing Trailblazer remembers of the initial dream, no one seems to be able to see him, and there's his voice in the Dreamscape. The "bad ending" we get by refusing Aventurine is EXTREMELY interesting, though, and it might suggest a completely different perspective to it all.
i dont get Sparkle at all, i tried to pay attention to the lore during the quest but i still can figure out what sparkle has to do with all of this and why everyones crazy after her, could be cause i just did the story few days ago and been inactive from the community and game till then but still nothing shows why
Some other interesting things I wanted to point out is that there are also theories on Acheron being an emanator of finality. Terminus moves backwards in time meaning Acheron could've experienced the future and may be a Galaxy Ranger in the future. This could explain why the IPC has no information on that not to mention Acheron's memories are somewhat blurred. Another thing to note is that she forcibly changes your dialogue options if you decline her offer to join your investigation with Black Swan too many times. There still are a lot of questions about her, but this is something that caught my eye.
I’m very happy to see you on the HSR lore side now as well. I was hoping it would happen after playing this patch because damn do I have questions lmao
I''m actually glad but for totally different reasons, as I can't really play the game for the gameplay reasons, no hate, it's far from my cup of tea, but I've invested some brain space for the story and I'm glad I can watch mins recap now, and right on time as I stop playing just before penacony release.
If you find all the dream tickers a 16th ticker spawns & gives u a message that suggests the trailblazers emotions are being manipulated by a third party.
Wait really? I genuonely wasnt paying any attention to what they wer daying after reading the first few ones and finding them talking random delusional nonsense, im not even sure how many of them ive completed yet to know if ive already missed the 16th 😅
BTW i think the gear you get after revisiting the selfie spot is dependant on how you react to Acheron after Firefly's death. You can either lash out at her for not attacking or reassure her Firefly's death wasn't her fault, giving you a angry and sad gear respectively. You can also switch up the tone halfway throught to get both gears.
I think maybe the Watchmaker is being held prisoner by something or someone and as a consequence Penacony is falling apart. His Legacy is perhaps an emergency measure created to restore the dream if something were to happen to him and that's why he sent out an invitation to so many different groups in the hope that one of them would be able to find the Legacy.
I doubt they would actually kill a character that we barely had time to get to know, especially when it has been said multiple times that people who die in Penacony's dream don't die in real life.
Yeah I want to believe this too. Robin looked dead though. But firefly could still be alive just maybe her dissociate disease has advanced. Good thing we know a genius society. Hopefully there is a cure.
When was that said? Like I saw some youtbers saying the same thing but I don't remember anyone in Penacony talking about death in the dream (I only did the main story)
I missed the boat with Penacony and was spoiled on Firefly's death in advance, so it didn't hit me as it should. However, in spite of that, upon actually seeing it for myself, Firefly's death seems...disingenuous? And I don't mean badly written or anything like that. It felt like her death was a deception for the main characters somehow... The fact that Black Swam repeats that "everyone lies in Penacony" hasn't helped matters, either. As for Robin, I think hers was faked as well, but I'm willing to bet that's someone else's deception. Perhaps her brother's, given the circumstances. I mean, he refused Sparkle's assistance; in all likelihood Sparkle's assistance would've been a problem, no matter what, but she could very easily spoil HIS deception if he accepted. But that also suggests the possibility that that preening peacock of an IPC officer is working with him, given that he was the one who showed us the body. Be warned, folks; I anticipate that Firefly was actually manipulating us.
I literally went back to her secret base today and just collected all of that stuff. They played the emotional tug on her story so much I teared up. And teared up again when you got to that part in your video. I really enjoyed her story but hated her death.
This was super helpful for refreshing my memory of everything that happened! You also pointed out things I definitely missed when I played! Thank you :) definitely going to subscribe
Idk why, every time I was in those corridors with the keyhole shaped doors I got such an overwhelming sense of dejavu, but no matter how hard I think I can't remember where I've seen those corridors before. It's driving me crazy!
while i really enjoyed the video, i wanted to thank you so much for including subs!! english isn't my first language, so i have problems with listening aand stuff, so i usually rely on the text to uhh better understand things :( thank you a thousand times!
One thing that makes me question Gallagher in particular is that he’s supposedly in charge of the bloodhounds and yet, except for that one guy in the quest, no one seems to know who he is. I talked to a few npc bloodhounds and there’s the option to ask about him and they’re always like “who are you talking about?”…I really wonder who, if anyone, is actually telling the truth here (maybe I’m wrong and I just haven’t met the bloodhounds who know him but it’s interesting)
cld u do a recap for all the worlds so far ❤️ i enjoy listening to ur voice and how u tell ur stories!! i love to listen to ur vids at night and manifest myself in this fake reality 🎀🎀🎀 love ur vidsss keep i up baeee
Great vid as always- can't believe i'm so late :(. btw the cornerstones were I think established in both the Topaz quest and that IPC video as an object given to each of the Ten Stonehearts, as some kind of establishment of rank- ex Topaz of debt retrieval. You see Topaz's cornerstone on her chest- the orange thingy. I'm not really sure why they're so important, but the head of the stonehearts, Diamond, is an established Emanator of Preservation (IPC vid). He's also the one who created the Stonehearts in the first place, specifically w/out care for the members' backgrounds, and judging from the fact that Topaz is a prodigy from an ailing planet and Aventurine's on the death row he might be using these cornerstones to control them/keep them in check? But I really didn't realize until this vid they might have special powers or usage- you have a really keen eye :)
Acheron might very well be an emanator and also responsible for killing the duke, however, her invitation is unlikely stolen. Since every invite that the family sent out should have names on them, like how the TB cant just get a room with DH's invite. Also before 2.0 released, hoyo had a scene where Acheron arrived at the hotel lobby and stating her name and faction, which cant really be faked with duke's invite.
thanks a lot for making this short recap story penacony, because for myself i hate beer, gambling, and anything that come from club or something, i can't handle that but i need to know the story, make next one please
BTW, to anyone who doesn't know, there's actually a bad ending you can get for the main quest where if you see the "end credits" and properly analyse it within the context of what we know from the story, then it may have just "spoiled" one of the big "plot twists" for the storyline and is a really nice contextual they laid out. Definitely one of the better parts of the main quest for sure. And that's the one thing I'll praise about the writing for the main quest. The way they put together and showcase contextual clues for this mystery story has been really good. For those that wonder how you get the bad ending, it just before the end of the quest where instead of meeting with Aventurine, you go to one of the doors and decide to go back to reality.
My issues with the writing and pacing of the main quest aside, I'm very excited regarding the lore and history of Penacony, and this is a pretty helpful recap, so thank you very much Minsleif. 💞 Unfortunately, my reaction to the dream version of Firefly dying was me just going "...what?", no thanks to the very poor pacing and structure during the second half the quest. The "fridging" issue with Firefly (and Robin) aside, this is my first real time experiencing Shaoji's writing, who the HoYoverse fanbase praise to death for his writing, and I got to say I not impress in the least at the moment. I can easily suspect the reasons behind the writing and story decisions considering the themes they seem to be exploring, and how a lot of it is probably is going to be further developed as the story goes on, but even then, I feel that the slow pacing of the first half and the rapid pacing of the later half took away a lot of the emotional gratification I would have gotten since it was replaced with me just trying to parse through the story bits I've experience in rapid succession. If their going to do this mystery box type of story, they really need to fix the pacing and structural problems for the later quests, cause you really need to give the audience time to parse through such a story. I'm also going to hope they better develop Firefly's character in future quests since this main quest developed her character more like an accessory to the Trailblazer rather than a character that developed a budding relationship with the Trailblazer, and if the"plot twist" that I'm suspecting with her does happen, well... then they really need to properly develop her, or said "plot twist" is going to fall flat on their face. But here's hoping.
You bring totally fair points, I think if they built Firefly gradually (in the way they built Navia’s character and arc in Genshin) and they had Firefly die then, I feel like it would’ve been a little more impactful!
Any chance of doing a story summary from the Xianzhou so far? At certain points of the story I could not properly follow or fully understand what was going on ;#;
thank you so much for this recap! i can't stand sitting through sooo many hours of dialogue but im still so interested in the story 😩 this does soo much for me
Everyone is lying but what Im most interested in is who is the biggest liar of them all and who is most accountable?? I also support the theory that Firefly isnt gone gone yet since her poofing seems to be too convenient. First, the something unto blank ignored the trailblazer, acheron, and black swan and focused their attack to firefly the whole time. Second, acheron and black swan didnt seem too bothered fire fly poofed meaning they are doubtful of her. Third, Sam and firefly never appeared at the same time. Maybe this is connected to what we saw at the start of the quest when Sam and Silverwolf were discussing their mission and Sam told Silverwolf that showing the truth is the right way and the audience would naturally wake up from the illusion if the bare truth is presented to them. Maybe the chaotic mess right now is part of Sams script that he's acting on
For me the problem with wanting to analyze the lore of Star Rail is that as soon as we go to a new planet all the previous lore becomes irrelevant since the planets we go to have zero connection with each other, making the only type of lore relevant to the story as a whole those involving the Aeons and the Nameless.
It would be weirder if the planets did have connections to each other though. Since Belobog has been yk, in isolation. Hmn as well as other areas focusing on their own problems. But if you think about it the IPC has been appearing in the main story for both Belobog and Penacony. So there are things that are connected As well as the interaction of Herta's SpaceStation with the Genius Society members interacting with Penacony. So you could argue there are little connections here and there
I’ve been looking for a channel that can cover HSR Lore in an approachable and human way instead of just spouting factoids and timelines. This has been an epic watch and I can’t wait to see more.
@@Neutral2865 I do!! :D but they're mostly on theories and speculation. They're amazing with details and missable Easter eggs, but when it comes to HSR story-telling and lore recaps, I haven't seen a channel that does it as well as this. Thanks for your suggestion, thought!
9:14 I love how our “rough landing” is seemingly noticed by the other guests but only Sunday and Robin bother to check up on us. I guess that means everyone is just hanging out doing their own thing huh😅😅
You have no idea how much I needed this video, because my friends keep asking me to pay attention to the lore and I just wanted the gems. nice work as usual 😁
Good analysis, I hope to see more HSR content here. Call it copium but I don't think Firefly is dead yet as there are too many questions about her and we didn't spend enough time with her. Same for Robin.
Acheron being an Emanator of Nihility would make sense if you look at her eyes; they look like a black hole event horizon. Sometimes we get breadcrumbs in a character's design like that.
acheron: The characters that declared her an emantaor: 1: death and finality 2: potentially any path associated with death/end: destruction, hunt, nihility (this part of the dialogue at first seems to no align with finality, but that is not the case as the box before or after indicated that due to the still unknown nature of The Finality, it is likewise hard to determine if an emanator of finality is indeed an enamantor of Finality as opposed to another path) Acheron being: HSR-mei.... and in HI3 Finality becomes associated with Kiana..... Acheron being emantor of finality is the strongest chance amongst the options. There is also the possibility that Aeon of Finality, traveling from the future to the past, is future HI3 kiana, and acheron future HI3 mei.
Thanks for this. I kinda went a bit mad and binged the entire story in 4 weeks and man penacony was a LOT to take in. Especially after the other two arcs. This made a lot more sense of it. Think this is actually my favorite arc so far. Still so many unanswered questions though!
In the quest "envision a rose forthcoming" there s a girl who almost dies, you can save her or you can not, she dies in a dream scape but when u return to reality shes dead so i think firefly is aswell.
Intrusive thought - why did the Stellaron Hunters send us to the Xianzhou Luofu? I'm not debating that saving XL from a Stellaron wasn't important- however what did sending us to the XL first change in terms of Penacony? Two things stand out. 1. Dan Heng didn't go to Penacony and instead (if this is canon) took the express back to the Xianzhou for their CN-NY expy which he now can do because he's no-longer banished. If DH had joined us we would have been 5 people on 4 tickets - who would have stayed behind instead? (Also there's the idea that DH-IL is an Emanator of Long that won't leave me alone) 2. We arrived at Penacony after certain events had already taken place. Sampo and Sparkle's deal and Robin's death for example (because I'm 90% certain Lobby!Robin was Sparkle. Which leaves a lot of questions about what Dreamscape!Robin was actually doing if this is Sparkle, not Robin. Except ... I don't think that's Sparkle. I think Dreamscape!Robin is Robin. She's dead IRL, but not in the dreamscape, which makes me question wth Aventurine has? Actually... could Black Swan fake a dead body?) We also arrive near - simultaneusly with Aventurine. 3. We meet the stellaron hunters and build our technically-antagonistic-but-actually-rather-friendly relationship on the Luofu before going to Penacony, suggesting they might need that trust from us. But then ... why not send Kafka? Silver Wolf makes sense, but why Sam? .... (Am I the only one reflexively trusting the Stellaron Hunters more than any other partly atm? We know what they want (stellarons! Maybe.) and we know they're invested in our survival. To put my thoughts into one massive paragraph: I trust Sparkle the least. In some ways, she's the most straightforward of the lot, but at the same time - she's gunna have us axed if she thinks it would be funny, and we have no clue what she finds funny beyond the fact that Sampo is very unhappy with it. SH's are the people I currently trust the most. Since Blade isn't here, unless Sam has beef with Himeko every SH present wants us to survive. As us the Trailblazers have no agenda beyond figuring out what happened to some other Trailblazers, their faction is a safe one to align with. We don't have that survival guarantee with anyone else. Next most trustworthy is Acheron to me. Yes, she's mysterious. But she's stepped in to help us a few times now, and hasn't done anything against us or actually lied to us either. That Aventurine/Black Swan try to sow suspicion on her of all people feels off. Concerning the Firefly death scene - in my version she heavily implies there are rules surrounding her drawing her blade that meant she couldn't meaningfully interfere. Aventurine wants us for something, and badly. But I've got bad feelings about his desperation. In addition, allying with the IPC is ... Himeko is really weird around the IPC. First Topaz in Belobog and now Aventurine in the lobby. I'm missing something, and before Himeko talks I feel uncofortable promising Aven anything. Then there's Black Swan who - if I understood the scene right - was tracking SotD up until the point in killed Firefly, and can in fact beat the thing. If anyone could have reacted in time to save her, it was BS. In addition, the though arose that if anyone can control a monster created from memories it would be a memokeeper, (debateably) Emanator of Fuli. Finally Misha, who's tbh mostly a non-entity in the intruige so far. Yes, he's only visible to some people but unless he's the reason we have the wrong Dreamscape!hotelroom (I think that's Black Swan's fault - if Misha hadn't found us we'd have wandered the hallways and run into SotD), landed in the Dreamscape in the middle of the air (probably because of our emotions when entering) or were dragged into the Dreamscape after jumping (an accident I think) he hasn't really done anything. Oh and Clockie, who's the public face of the Watchmaker in essence. On the one hand, I don't trust him. (This entire mess is his fault to some degree, and when we don't interfere (bad end) we get stuck in a never-ending dream of the Charmony Festival. If I understood the notes right.) On the other, he's the first to actually hand us power in the dreamscape - and what a power. Messing with people's emotions is ... definitely a thing. Finally Firefly - absolutely manipulating us, possibly died on purpose (WHY!), but genuine in her care and much more dangerous than she seems. I see where the Firefly is a Stellaron Hunter ideas come from. That mix of care and manipulation for the sake of a plot we don't understand is very Stellaron Hunter of her, particularly Kafka-like if we are honest. Plus, if anyone can realistically fake a death in the dreamscape it's either Black Swan or Silver Wolf. (Which makes me think both Firefly's death and Robin's body are fake. Oh boy.)
I don’t know why this just hit me but wouldn’t Boss Stone be a reference to Diamond? Since the IPC used to own Pencony and Clockie and his friends represent the prisoners that worked together for freedom. Considering the Ten Cornerstones are the top brass with Diamond at the top and they each have a stone with a portion of the Emanator of Preservation’s power. Imagine what someone could do with all those stones together…
The quest really put me through some emotions, I have no idea who I can trust but one thing I know, if black swan is really lying to us with adventurine I’m gonna cry and never trust anyone else in future anymore.
Strangely enough I didn't really have trust issues spacificly with black swan since I only saw the whole thing as her moving the plot along. She gave to me at least the impression of a guide rather then and antagonistic forced. As for Firefly while I did feel the emotional gut punch initially but the more I thought about it the more I didn't buy her death based purely on the fact her character model has all the hallmarks of playable character.
for some reason I thought Robyn and firefly were the same person and Robyn was just disguising herself. and so I was so confused when there was "2" deaths. so this clears a lot of confusion up haha
For me, Misha is the most sus of them all. I mean everyone look sus right from the start which made Misha even more standout. Also everything about him screams of watch and time! I mean he can even stop time with his technique. I refused to believe hyv give such technique on a whim to a mere bellboy. I think he will hplay a very important role in the future if not the most important in penacony.
I feel like aventurine is related to Ena the Order somehow because they both have the same blue n pink eyes (unless this has been confirmed in some piece of dialogue and I just forgot)
Im more worried about what agenda sparkle has considering she blew aventurine off by claiming shes not taking a side but in swans quest, she evidently has.
I stopped playing star rail for a brief moment so i got spoiled about fireflys death already. I didnt know how it went down till i saw it tho so i was shocked when i actually did see it
Nice recap. Still don't understand how people regard Firefly's death as emotional: we barely interacted with her, she lied to us most or even all the time, and the actual scene had barely any buildup. It's shocking for sure, but all the Otto comparisons seem a little forced to me. A small correction (I think): Trailblazer doesn't remember meeting Acheron in the first dream, which is why one of the dialogue options in the Aventurine encounter is "have we met somewhere?" This would mean the only character Trailblazer remember from that dreamscape is Misha.
For now, i believe that acheron IS a galaxy ranger due to the cutscene of the firet appearance of sam, hes able to know that Black Swan is an memokeeper, and also saying: "an **galaxy ranger...**, a memokeeper..." This is basically just mt thought and probably my bias towards acheron but still, just a theory, best to wait for 2.1 or later
Hi Minsleif, would you please consider doing a video or theory about eyes designs in Genshin ? The introduction of Neuvillette was heavily focused on his eyes and people knew who he was with that, but then we never talk about the other few mysterious characters with draconic / reptile eyes like Shinobu or Chongyun even tho they have a fishy past full of theory.

My theory is that Misha is some sort of "door" or "treasure," which his eye shape suggests. Once opened, we will get the answer to the Watchmaker's legacy.
And as to the manner of "opening" Misha, we... may have to sacrifice him...

Misha: Clockwork Legacy lol
Nope Gallagher voiceline have misha
The Firefly scene was shocking, yes. Especially with how brutal it was. But we know her for so little time and most of it she seems to be hiding a lot of things that it wasn't really that sad. I'm expecting she's either not really dead, she was double tricking us (as everybody seems to do in Penacony) or she'll come back in a different shape (like Robin or Sam or someone else). If she actually did die then they may have jumped the gun a little. Gotta give these characters a bit more time to build a connection with.
I can only assume/cope that eas the point. Give her many death flags then 'kill' her so early that it forces the question: why?
It personally happened the same with me, I wont reprimand people that liked her, but I was pretty cautious around her, and when she died I felt like something was missing, it just made it more suspicious for me.
I think she is a stellaron hunter tricking us again
My opinion is the song or soundtrack that make her death feels so sad
@@xiabigsisThe song is SO good. It made me feel so many emotions when I first heard it. That’s probably because I’m the type to get emotional to music though…
I have a theory that the first time we see Sampo it was actually sparkle because he confused firefly for march which is very weird thing for him to do considering she was glued to us in belobog
Its also a dead give away on how he introduces himself majority of the time he always introduces himself with his full name sampo koski but when sparkles was impersonating him she only said im sampo
It's not a theory, you're correct! Sampo would never have forgotten March, and he always introduces himself as "Sampo Koski!"
It was confirmed in the story in 2.0 yeah...
It's nice that you put "yet" on your title
Because shaoji won't stop cooking until everyone cries
Man this quest was amazing truly a wHOLEsome story.
that's the nasty part she will be playable
Right after firefly’s death, there were some dialogue options that could be seen as anger, lashing out at Acheron.
I love your theorysss also, i think that trailblazer not showing emotional anger has to do with robin
i dont get Sparkle at all, i tried to pay attention to the lore during the quest but i still can figure out what sparkle has to do with all of this and why everyones crazy after her, could be cause i just did the story few days ago and been inactive from the community and game till then but still nothing shows why
You did a great job providing the recap, but I still have so many questions especially the watchmaker, Acheron, and firefly.
I hope to cover these topics in future theory videos ☺️ I’m working on them rn!! But yea ESPECIALLY THE WATCHMAKER
Hopefully Ruan Min can also cover the lore of Aeons, it's by far one of the best lores that HSR can offer
12:59 it’s so wholesome you used the song “if I can stop one heart from breaking” for the Robin scene too!!😍😍😍
BTW i think the gear you get after revisiting the selfie spot is dependant on how you react to Acheron after Firefly's death. You can either lash out at her for not attacking or reassure her Firefly's death wasn't her fault, giving you a angry and sad gear respectively. You can also switch up the tone halfway throught to get both gears.
its so nice to see u cover hsr 🤩
I plan to make some HSR theory videos as well!
Whoever the watchmaker maybe or whatever his legacy is... I just know Misha will play a very important role in it.
@@Kouku04 i think Misha is super important, since no one except Trailblazer can see him ans clockie.
Penacony side quests are amazing too
I doubt they would actually kill a character that we barely had time to get to know, especially when it has been said multiple times that people who die in Penacony's dream don't die in real life.
Yeah I want to believe this too. Robin looked dead though. But firefly could still be alive just maybe her dissociate disease has advanced. Good thing we know a genius society. Hopefully there is a cure.
I thought so too, but everyone (especially Black Swan) was acting like she died for real.
Called it
cld u do a recap for all the worlds so far ❤️ i enjoy listening to ur voice and how u tell ur stories!! i love to listen to ur vids at night and manifest myself in this fake reality 🎀🎀🎀 love ur vidsss keep i up baeee
My favorite lore enthusiast come to save my smooth brain, good start to the weekend.
When you tell me cornerstone I think of swarm disaster because the special effects given on domains by the preservation dice is called cornerstone
0:25 dainsleif really is a lucky guy
WHOAAA I’m def checking this out!
What happens if you get the bad ending on penacony? does it work the same as the herta space station bad ending?
Yup! This is indeed a wholesome and uplifting story as of now in this wholesole and uplifting game!
You got the sam and firefly one correct lol.
Thank you for more hsr content! I've been wishing for this 🌸 it's hard finding good hsr lore theory/recaps creators
A story hasn't made me sad in a long time, but when THAT SCENE happened I was genuinely so shocked and upset. I really hope we see a return.
You’re very good at recapping story. I want more. I want all 1.0 to current. Subbed.
Just finished 2.1 and holy crap... The twists blew my mind 🤯
My issues with the writing and pacing of the main quest aside, I'm very excited regarding the lore and history of Penacony, and this is a pretty helpful recap, so thank you very much Minsleif. 💞
Unfortunately, my reaction to the dream version of Firefly dying was me just going "...what?", no thanks to the very poor pacing and structure during the second half the quest.
Sampo, being a masked fool, was kinda expected for me.
I guess he is the next 4* to get a 5* version.
5:06 Doesn't that look like the same as what happened with Firefly when she was stabbed? Like an explosion of liquid.
Any chance of doing a story summary from the Xianzhou so far? At certain points of the story I could not properly follow or fully understand what was going on ;#;
great vid but subbed for Firefly reaction LOL
got me too
Can't wait for a video for 2.1 ❤
thank you so much for this recap! i can't stand sitting through sooo many hours of dialogue but im still so interested in the story 😩 this does soo much for me
Everyone is lying but what Im most interested in is who is the biggest liar of them all and who is most accountable??
So there are things that are connected
As well as the interaction of Herta's SpaceStation with the Genius Society members interacting with Penacony.
So you could argue there are little connections here and there
Actually Sampo being in Penacony also could be considered a connection between Belobog and Penacony
Thank you so much for the recap! I stopped playing HSR but I'm interested in the story so this is amazing :)
I’ve been looking for a channel that can cover HSR Lore in an approachable and human way instead of just spouting factoids and timelines. This has been an epic watch and I can’t wait to see more.
You should watch CatWithBlueHat. Great theories and not complicated( for me at least)
@@Neutral2865 I do!! :D but they're mostly on theories and speculation. They're amazing with details and missable Easter eggs, but when it comes to HSR story-telling and lore recaps, I haven't seen a channel that does it as well as this.
Thanks for your suggestion, thought!
Im glad you are tackling honkai lore now , cant wait for more, great video.
10:07 😂i did the same and i was like “wait i wasn’t supposed to buy everything??”
9:14 I love how our “rough landing” is seemingly noticed by the other guests but only Sunday and Robin bother to check up on us. I guess that means everyone is just hanging out doing their own thing huh😅😅
THANKS Minsleif! I was genuinely so confused but sad at the same time,, this vid helped me understand what happened a lot lol
Acheron did not claim to be a Galaxy Ranger. She said that other people call her one.
“Galaxy Ranger Acheron… That is what they call me…”
This is amazing please do recaps for 2.1 and 2.2 as well!
Acheron being an Emanator of Nihility would make sense if you look at her eyes; they look like a black hole event horizon. Sometimes we get breadcrumbs in a character's design like that.
1:58 hi i am operagx i'll generate the belobog lore so minsleif don't have to😂
acheron: The characters that declared her an emantaor:
1: death and finality
2: potentially any path associated with death/end: destruction, hunt, nihility (this part of the dialogue at first seems to no align with finality, but that is not the case as the box before or after indicated that due to the still unknown nature of The Finality, it is likewise hard to determine if an emanator of finality is indeed an enamantor of Finality as opposed to another path)
Acheron being: HSR-mei.... and in HI3 Finality becomes associated with Kiana.....
Still so many unanswered questions though!
i cant find the name of the soundtrack playing at 15:51, anybody help :o
the reaction to that scene was peak
i was genuinely so happy that part never got spoiled to me TT o TT what y'all got was a genuine reaction right there! i was GAGGED
I cannot wait for 2.1 to come out because I can get another amazing summary. I need MOREEE!!
In the quest "envision a rose forthcoming" there s a girl who almost dies, you can save her or you can not, she dies in a dream scape but when u return to reality shes dead so i think firefly is aswell.
I have trouble understanding things. I play both Genshin and star rail. I get so lost easily. Thank you! You explain well. Maybe a video on the aeons?
FNALLY A RECAP TO MAKE MY ROTTEN BRAIN UNDERSTAND CUZ I SPENT 4 FUCKING HOURS AND I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND AT ALL
I did NOT know Mei Ver 2 in the beginning were saying the MC remind them of Kevin or Kiana, THIS IS CRAZY
To put my thoughts into one massive paragraph:
I trust Sparkle the least.
Oh boy.)
Firefly got the Donut treatment 🗿
13:10 yup i can never forget our date with FireFly or the Selfie we take together!!
Thank u for doing this
thank you so much for coverinkg honkai star rail, can't wait to see more future videos!!
Need more penacony lore plz
The quest really put me through some emotions, I have no idea who I can trust but one thing I know, if black swan is really lying to us with adventurine I’m gonna cry and never trust anyone else in future anymore.
Strangely enough I didn't really have trust issues spacificly with black swan since I only saw the whole thing as her moving the plot along. She gave to me at least the impression of a guide rather then and antagonistic forced.
As for Firefly while I did feel the emotional gut punch initially but the more I thought about it the more I didn't buy her death based purely on the fact her character model has all the hallmarks of playable character.
I trust Firefly with my life, she is too cute. Nice video too!
18:38 did you just-
i was really hoping you would start making videos abt hsr as well cause im so lost 😭😭
15:48 you are my specialz🗣️🗣️
i had to spam click through the story to unlock event last minute last patch for the extra summons so i needed this
these videos are so useful for watching right before the new patch drops, thanks!
I appreciate this video because my brain definitely checked out when all the enemies started getting called “Memes” like idk wtf was going on lmao
Little fact: even if you didn't choose march dialogue firefly will reject any other choice so you end up with march dialogue
for some reason I thought Robyn and firefly were the same person and Robyn was just disguising herself. and so I was so confused when there was "2" deaths. so this clears a lot of confusion up haha
Lol 🤯To your scream i was just listening and make me jump when i was busy making ramen.🤗 Galy hell my Heart skipped a moment's beat..😅
i'M SorrY LAKNSdasd
I feel like aventurine is related to Ena the Order somehow because they both have the same blue n pink eyes (unless this has been confirmed in some piece of dialogue and I just forgot)
Im more worried about what agenda sparkle has considering she blew aventurine off by claiming shes not taking a side but in swans quest, she evidently has.
Still waiting for the continuation...
I stopped playing star rail for a brief moment so i got spoiled about fireflys death already. I didnt know how it went down till i saw it tho so i was shocked when i actually did see it
Pls pls make more lore explanation videos, im literally so lost after finishing the quest
If there is someone I can trust with game lore I know its you who I can trust. This summary videos are really nice, keep them coming.
For now, i believe that acheron IS a galaxy ranger due to the cutscene of the firet appearance of sam, hes able to know that Black Swan is an memokeeper, and also saying: "an **galaxy ranger...**, a memokeeper..."
This is basically just mt thought and probably my bias towards acheron but still, just a theory, best to wait for 2.1 or later
