Here it is! Let's build my new Mullet DH bike! A 2019 Carbon Rocky Mountain Maiden! I am so excited to finally get this bike rolling, it has taken far too long!
I hope to do some riding this week if the weather is good and showcase me riding this next week.

I was thinking of getting custom rearend with shorter chainstays on a mullet like this, but with a 29er in the front.
3 Years from now: Bike Industry comes out with it's newest innovation, 26 inch wheels. Packing increased acceleration, cornering and jumping abilities this is the best invention for downhill racing since the dual crown fork. Meanwhile Some of us never left

So cool seeing someone going their own way! Honestly that's a big reason for me to sub to your channel. Like the honesty and experimenting! I remember thinking that you should try a mullet with these sizes and now I do get to see the result. That's rad! The bike is already looking awesome and I totally think you should go with the gradient theme 👌 Both to honor your Davinci and because it already looks so sweet on the green with all those three colors. I think that if you somehow made the "Rocky Mountain" text a true gradient then the"logic" behind the three colors would come across so nicely!

Although I am not as good as you at mtb, you should come over to Jackson, Wyoming. The highway called Teton Pass has some really nice mtb trails that you would like, there are big jumps to smaller jumps, and some nice tech trails. The trails that you should try in my opinion are, Fuzzy bunny, Jimmys mom, Powerline jumps, and Parallel trail.

Yeah the Rocky Mountain logo is pretty dull and uninspiring anyway. Don't know why they chose that font. I would black it all out but that's the easy way out =)

I'm more of a two to three (incl black) color guy. Black and yellow. Dark blue and yellow. White and blue. White black and red. Those are the top tier combinations imo.
My downhill bike right now looks pretty grownup though, all metallic grey and black like a car. Clean look if you wanna lay low. And no worries about mismatching with clothes ;)
I had the maiden for 2 years. One of my favourite bikes I have ever ridden. I think u should change all of the text to all red.

How did you manage to get so good at building jumps and trails? I'm currently building my own trail and the amount of time and dedication it takes has just given me a newfound respect for all my trail builders
I've actually got a mullet 26/27.5 dh bike, an 2015 canyon torque dhx flashzone with 27.5 front and 26 back. Funniest bike ever!!!

I’m riding that same frame, but with 27.5 front and back. It’s so much fun at the park!
Snagged those bars for my felt compulsion a month or so ago, cut them down to 780mm and they feel so nice!
I recently just built a new wheelset for my Norco Aurum, 27.5 in front and 26 in rear and it feels amazing!! So glad I did it. Mullets rule!! Also, sick sick sick build!

That looks SOOOOOOO good. I am running Cush Core this year and it is totally worth the cost. I picked them up off Facebook from someone who never used them for 100$ and recommend you try them out in your 27.5" wheels if you haven't already. Not sure if they make 26". Installing is actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I found if you put the tire on the rim and get one side in rim and then put the Cush Core on the rim, it makes it easier to get the other side in. Use soapy water like Cush Core recommends and push the seated side into the well of the rim to get as much slack on the side you are working on as possible. The one trick I used was to zip tie my "progress" as I went along, and kept the part of the tire I had seated in place while I worked on the next part. Lastly, definitely suggest metal core levers or the new lever that Cush Core came out with. Hope this helps someone and if not just disregard:)

Jordan i have to agree on you that rocky mountain's have this weird feeling to them when you demo them, something just is telling you in your head that you need this bike. This is what happened with me, now i am the owner of a rocky mountain pipeline alloy 30. I have loved it ever since i rode one.

Have a similar mullet setup. Giant Faith 0 2010, Rockshox Superdelux Coil, Marz 888 RC3 Evo v2 ti, SRAM XO1 DH 7 speed, Magura MT7 brakes, Ethirteen 2010 DH Crank, Spank Vibrocore Rims on Chosen 150T DH hubs with Michelin DH22 27.5 F and Michelin DH 34 26 R, Cush Core both wheels, Deity Cockpit, Rockshox AXS Reverb, and a -2 degree slackerizer headset. It doesn't feel like a 2010 bike anymore. I feels like a flickable Glory.

I use the sun ringle rims. And saint on my intense m6. Nice bike. I got my intense m6 used since it was a 26 inch I got it for 500 fully built but I tore it all apart and went over it. And fox 40 clicking found issue fixed and the bike is crazy fun. Glad you keep 26 alive
Hey jordan you should look into the tannus Armour because it is a tire insert that uses tubes and it helps with flats and sidewall protection
You should paint it to look like the 2018 red and blue version because it looks awesome
