Yayyyyy! And haha you can do it girl!! Trust me! It was definitely a lot easier than I expected and didn’t take near as long as you would think but yeah, it makes such a dramatic difference!! 50-50 paint and water, put it in a spray bottle. Forget the brush, it'll take you FOREVER to do it her way. I did my brick fireplace that is a bit larger than hers and it took 1 hour from start to finish by using the spray bottle. You'll thank me later...

Lol no worries, its been so long since ive done this but i do believe it was regular wall paint! I have a ton of projects im doing but i do plan on doing another how to white wash brick video where it skips me cleaning and all and just has the basics! Im tackling the brick wall in my sunroom though soon and then at some point painting the exterior brick on my home! That may be a project for next year though lol i have enough to do as it is already 😋 im so glad this was helpful though, good luck!

yay! so glad u enjoyed! this was my first youtube video but i plan on doing another one thats to the point without cleaning lol ive got a brick wall in my sunroom i want to tackle at some point, then next the exterior 😂 but right now i have plenty of other things keeping me busy. also, it was just a flat indoor paint! don’t remember the exact kind but if you ask the person at the paint department tell them your using it to paint brick and they should be able to help u! thanks so much for watching 💕 good luck!

It looks great. Can you suggest a cleaner that will cut through nicotine? I want to wash my fireplace first before I do what you are doing. People who lived here before were smokers. I’m afraid it will bleed through if I don’t scrub it first.

also, you may want to look into a small steam cleaner… i would look into trying that but not sure if that would be the best option or not 🤔 good luck though!! this wall has made the biggest difference in our downstairs!

im not sure about getting in the grout , but worth a shot! if not the dollar brush i used from dollar tree worked amazing!

Oh wow!! Really?! Haha does it does not go with your wall paint or what? It makes our space looks so much bigger and cleaner and that’s the first thing everyone always compliments!
@@thissouthernhome2200 well my parents have just gotten every wall and room teared down inside and out including the roof, new bathrooms and kitchen, living room etc the only thing left in my opinion is somehow making the bricks look new. I say you can dye them red.

Fastest way is to spray the brick. This looks like so much work!
it only took about two ish hours and that was while dealing with kids too 🤷🏼♀️ i didnt think that was bad but i could see that spraying would be a lot quicker! i plan to spray the brick on the exterior of our home! thanks for watching
What kind of paint finish did you use? Like matte, eggshell, satin?
