This training video portrays a scale reenactment of the infamous North Hollywood Bank Robbery To demonstrate the tactical training capabilities of College of DuPage's new 60,000 square-foot Homeland Security Education Center. Four officers and two assailants (role players from West Chicago, North Aurora, Braidwood and Bloomingdale PDs) exchanged "gunfire" in the Homeland Security Education Center 4,500 square-foot indoor street scene using Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) equipment. The Homeland Security Education Center is the first non-military 4-D facility in the country with MILES force-on-force training equipment.

It was meant to show how law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles and across the country learned a lesson from the 1997 North Hollywood shootout: police officers should not be outgunned by the criminals in a shootout. Prior to North Hollywood; officers of the L.A.P.D. were only allowed to carry shotguns and handguns.
