Hiking Scaly and Whiteside Mountains!

I'd been curious about the short trail from the Turtle Pond Rd side of Scaly Mountain up to the summit. You actually end up taking Hickory Knut Gap Rd to a parking area. The hike is only 3.6mi round trip to the top and is a little more gradual than hiking in from Osage Overlook where the Bartram crosses highway 106. Since I wanted to be in Highlands today I thought I'd check that out and head over to Whiteside Mountain to check out some awesome views from there!

I had seen a video of someone on Instagram hiking Whiteside and it just has these killer views! Have you hiked here before? It's a pretty popular hike. The views are great and to the north you can see over to Shortoff Mountain where there is another trail called Yellow Mountain Trail. Has anyone hiked that trail? I may put this one on the list!
