Super helpful for me. I appreciate you telling me about the tork screws. I picked those bits up on the same trip as the part. Also, the vacuum hose reminder was good. I almost forgot after reassembly lol. Fixed my stalling idle issue. Thanks for the vid.
Hey man I have the exact same truck 2002 5.9L and heres the story the truck like jolts when I accelerate from a stop and im thinking this may be the issue so im going to the auto parts store today picking one up and seeing if it helps but please do more videos on this truck it would help me out tremendously!!!😎
I had the cats cut off on my 07' Ram because of cold start idle fluctuations, and a check engine light that indicated inefficient cats. Unfortunately the fluctuating has gotten worse, do you think this might help? Thank you
How did you put it into drive if it was idling at 2500 rpm? I am having the same problem and trying to trouble shoot. My truck currently idles at about 1200, and it's rough even then putting it into gear.
Edwuin my 04 hemi does same but as per my OBD2 reading my 02 sensor is bad and must be replaced. I’ve read that sensor can cause those symptoms that the truck has.
Damn ! Sounds good for
300,000 + miles

Would this cause the truck stalling out completely while driving?

I just slammed it into gear and let it do its thing lol..
I have this same problem did you ever find out what it is? 2 years later lol
@@carterdellavalle7246 yes, it was the Idle air sensor. It's super cheap and easy to fix. Took about 20 seconds.
My rpm will jump up and down going over bumps and rough terrain. Sometimes it will just turn off. I have the 4.7 V8. Will this also work?
Dude that sounds weird i have no idea but i hope so.
I got an 03 ... Its reved high in park i was told it was the brake booster...
I could see that if theres a vacuum leak
What was the original problem for replacing the idle control valve?
Truck would shut off and wouldn't stay idling
My 02 5.9 has no codes but idles about 1500 could that be the IAC or TPS
Could be.. change it and see the parts shouldn't be to much
Is this the same for a 2004?
I'm not sure but worth a try
Mine turn on but shuts off but if u hit the gas it stays on u think is this ?
Worth a try its a cheap fix if so.

mine just started idling high, hasn't turned off or anything tho.
Swap it out see what happens its a cheap part.
