A band power rack is a great idea. Since they have fold away power racks for home gyms. I'm betting you could even make a folding/collapsible travel band rack. Great stuff man.
Thanks! That's something I've been thinking about, especially for squats and deadlifts.
Constructed it, video coming soon...
@@musclediy5838 Feel privileged to find your channel at its infancy! Sure to boom soon because you got a winning formula: Short, sweet on a timely topic and need, and you got the voice and video editing skills too! All the best! ... Oh, and looking forward to how you made your racks, including the portable!
Thanks! I'm working on the footage from both builds, videos coming soon.
I bought a pull up tower for $50 and use that for anchoring my resistance bands.
Then, you can use ankle straps for additional anchoring points.
The only issue is pulling at certain angles as the resistance bands may pull the pull up tower towards you, but I solved this issue by placing my dumbbells on the base frame of the tower. I have around 200 pounds of dumbbells on the base.
Do what you have to do and be creative. Anchoring resistance bands yield the best results.
Very clever!
Thanks!
This sounds awsome.
Thanks, here's more details if you missed it...

Legs are a challenge with bands. I use the loop kind. It's tough to squat deep with tension since looping the band over your shoulders/neck as instructed is awkward. And if you can even do that it suggests there's not much tension at the bottom. You can always stand on the bands and pull the little bit you leave outside your feet, but then you're really fatiguing your arms and they normally give out long before all your leg muscles do. Bottom line is I love how you set this up so you have a bar and you're able to start in a normal squat position. Haven't seen that anywhere else on YT. There may be a bit of an advantage for some of the other stuff shown too. Doing pretty good with door anchors but now you've got me thinking!
Good points.
This is more like free weight squats since you get the pre- stretch on the way down.
But of course when you get to the bottom the load decreases.
I'm OK with the trade off and I get the results I'm after.
Check out my deadlift videos if you haven't already.
Like you said, the usual band techniques limit you with grip, placement and discomfort issues.
That's exactly why I came up with these ideas.
Hope you come up with some to share.
Thanks
I love these
Thanks!
Awesome!
Thanks!
Great job well done looking good
Thanks!
Do you have a build instructions?
Right now just a slightly more detailed overview... ua-cam.com/video/C2_66hL48a8/v-deo.html
