When I was a little girl, I found a whole set of Fire King at the local dump in it's original box. This was in the 1950's. My dad brought it home and my mother used it for years.
What an awesome find! So glad you saved it from the trash!
I have a set of 3 of the tulip pattern mixing/serving bowls. They were my grandmother's. She gifted them to me several years before she passed away. One of my prized possessions! I sure do miss that lady!❤
That makes them extra special when they come from a beloved family member! What a wonderful treasure to have! 😊
I have my grandma’s set of tulip bowls! And I have a full set of the blue nesting bowls that were my great grandma’s and I just used them at Easter! I love them and figured they were gems. I sure do miss my grandmas ❤.
Those are the best ones to have, that belonged to a family member and have wonderful memories attached. 😊
@@antiquingadventures indeed 😊
My late grandmother had the tulip design bowls and my, I can still taste the sweet potatoes with mini marshmallows....thanks for the fine memories 😊
That's a lovely memory! 😊 Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!
Believe Martha Stewart & her daughter collected the Fire King Jadeite. I love it!
Didn't know that, very cool!
Howdy Jennifer. Just grabbing a rewatch! Hope you're well and enjoying the day!
Howdy Jennifer! Hope you're having a great Fire King weekend! 😂

Thank you! So do I, it's so fun and has so much character.
VERY interesting!
Good afternoon friend. You got quite a few views on this one. Congratulations & well deserved.
Thank you! It's helped bump up views on few other videos also. 🙂
I love my peach luster. And I just bought a cute little jadeite bowl at a yard sale. I have a Fire King book, and I enjoyed your video.
Thank you! 😊 The peach luster really is so pretty and timeless in my opinion. And I love the jadeite. I have some replica jadeite pieces but no vintage ones.
Thank you for all the research that went into this video--so enjoyed.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! 😊
The Jadite coffee mug is my favorite. Itvwas in my home growing up. I can't find it cheaply, lol anywhere now. I would love just one mug to have my morning coffee in. Thanks for sharing.💚
I think jadeite is so timeless! Fingers crossed you find one of those mugs cheaply when you least expect it!😍
This was very informative. Thank you
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!

Could I ask you a question? I think I saw the tulip grease jar with yellow background not in ivory. Have you ever seen it or heard about it? I couldn't find any information about it?
Good question. I can't find anything about that pattern coming in yellow, but I see pics online where it looks yellow. I wonder if it can become discolored over time if exposed regularly to things like cigarette smoke or grease? Here's one that looks yellow but apparently is the usual Ivory Tulip pattern, as an example: www.pinterest.com/pin/58265388905870245/
Hello Jennifer. I hope you're well today friend.
Good afternoon friend, hope you are well!
I have the tulip fire king bowl with a lid
One of my patterns by them!
Good evening friend. These aren't familiar to me but you certainly did an excellent research job. Given away in that manner. Pretty amazing.
Thanks friend. I know there were other types of dishes that people could purchase a piece at a time with stamps and things in grocery stores over the years, but did not realize that about Fire King till now.
@@antiquingadventures the only thing along those type of lines at all that I can remember was saving Jell-O box tops, and you would mail them in and get a Disney figure. I was really young at the time.
I have a jadeite platter but it's McKee and it glows under black light.
I wonder if it's uranium glass, since it glows? I did a video on that too. 😊
I found some Fire King milk glass planters the other day. I didn’t buy them but it was nice to find them. 2:25 we had those mugs & used them to drink coffee 😭
I didn't know they made planters, that's cool. Those mugs look like they would have a fun texture to feel while you're enjoying your coffee. 😊
Subscribed.
Thank you , I appreciate it!
Howdy friend!
Good morning!
I have the tuple bowel and the salt shaker😂 they were my grandmothers the bowl was my Mother's mother and the salt shaker was my dad's Mother's oh yes I have the lid on the salt shaker
That makes them extra special that they belonged to family!😊
Candlewick please
Just to clarify, do you mean Candlewick glass?
Please be careful with painted pattern Fireking and Pyrex. I have seen several articles lately that they contain lead. Also older correlle.
Yes, some of them can. I know some older Fiestaware also contains lead unfortunately.
I have 4 Jadeite coffee cups. Are they worth anything?
I would say so, based on these that have sold recently on ebay!😲

Howdy Jennifer❤
👋🏻
0:42 looks more like Pyrex to me
Yes, Fire-King and Pyrex often look very similar. I actually had a set of bowls that were in those bright colors and they were marked Fire-King on the bottom. Either way, they are lovely to look at! 😍
