I bought this scan tool and did the auto bleed on my old 2000 4wd silverado. It worked for me bleeding the ABS module after a complete line change. Make sure you have a good battery charge because the process will drain your battery and cause communication errors. Bleed the brakes like normal after the ABS.
Do you bleed the brakes first like normal then do this abs procedure ? Had my front rotors and pads replaced and I’ve been getting a soft brake pedal sinks to the floor
@@josuemartinezmtz I would bleed like normal rear-front then use the scan tool bleed function and manual bleed rear-front again. This should do-it. Make sure to keep an eye on the fluid level.
I have the fox well 650. I used it to get the air out of my A. BS module after replacing the master cylinder. It all seemed to go well, but my question is for bleeding, calipers or wheel cylinders. Where does the air go? Shouldn't the bleeder nipple the conventional way? I understand the auto bleed function, but the air has to go somewhquestion mark.
@@hugolizardi1479 Wouldn't it make sense to bleed the brakes AFTER this procedure? I mean I can imagine the procedure helps get rid of trapped air in the ABS module and sends it down one or more of the brake lines.
@@curtistino2603 yes. You can do the auto bleed then bleed brakes. However you choose. I auto bleed twice, just a personal preference for my cars. But definitely bleed any method after activating the auto abs bleed
@@DIYonemanshow Did update and plugged in but did not see screen for special functions. Saw screen for control module but it did not offer the component option Working on 08 Benz had to repair rusted line. Wish mine was that easy. Same exact scanner
Yes this scan tool did delete an airbag light and an abs light that was giving me a pain in the ass. It deleted both but of course the issues were fixed before I deleted the codes

This little 130 dollar tool has saved me hundreds from having to goto a mechanic shop to bleed my brakes when this little device helps me do it.

Hello, i understand the car is in on position, but not cranked. Did you need to open the reservoir or any of the bleeder lines to complete this step?
the line is presurise Yes you need to open the reservoir to release the air out

@@Pera-Peric ABS Module bleed. Pumps air out of the module, you must still bleed the calipers.
