Roy Johnson is one of the greatest case studies of malignant narcissism and sociopathy I’ve ever seen since that guy who’s currently out on bail in four separate states.

@@terrencenorton3107 Are you referring to the mom of the Quarterback? If so, I didn't understand when she said her son only needed two credits to graduate. It seemed like something very easy to get done to move on to College. That whole story was really murky to me.

@@JessY-ft6io yes. Because she was there. She saw him cash a back check to pay for the hotels. IMO she should’ve taking her son or my other options is she was getting paid some off the money. And for them to blame Roy for her son not getting in a college after bishop is bs. He probably can’t get In because of his grades two other player for bishop are at Louisville

Thanks for the podcast! Here's my question. We have a set of victims here, who had their dreams crushed by an adult. So, with all the adults benefitting off telling this story, where is the focus on these kids and what happened to them? Very very few articles about this story even mention the kids by name. How many adults are going to profit on these kids backs?

As I was watching this, I remembered a story from a few years back about a guy who was pretending to be a dare officer in Akron Ohio. He was going around picking up kids from various schools for his DARE program. School officials were letting the kids go with him. If I recall correctly, he only got caught because he tried to take the kids inside the police station and he didn’t have a police badge.

I was rooting for the guy. The IMG game kinda sour me on him a little bit, but overall I felt the guy just got overwhelmed once the church financial backing backed out. In hindsight he should have dead it right there and then but according to him, he didn't want to abandon these kids. Cuz if this was a scam, then what the payoff supposed to be? Scamming these kids into college?

Rooting for the guy? Are you nuts? He committed fraud using those kids social security numbers, walked out on hotels without paying for the rooms that were used, dine and dashed on restaurants and he stole from a best buy. Roy is a dangerous sociopath that needs to be in jail.

The payoff was tens of thousands of dollars worth of loans that the students took out to “pay tuition”

I think you gotta rewatch this. Roy might have fines but he's not broke. Roy new he was scamming and neglecting some of these athletes an education. Roy brainwashed them preying on their dream. If Roy was legit, then this documentary would not exist. He said he didn't want to abandon them but true transparency is respected. He should have just said," Hey, this is not working and if we go any further, I cannot promise I'll deliver." He was not a man about it.
