EVER AFTER HIGH JUSTINE DANCER DOLL BED REMAKE

Our Ever After High Justine Dancer doll bed was sorely in need of a remake. It was completely falling apart! In this how-to video, I show you how I did it.
First, I attempted to re-use as much of the old Justine Dancer doll bed as I could. I was able to use the actual bed (two Smoothfoam blocks high), the pillow, two of the poles (painted gold), the gold cubes attached to the poles, the shiny silver foam balls, the miniature crystal disco ball, and some of the pink ribbon from her old bed.
That meant I had to make a new headboard and footboard and blanket. For Justine Dancer, who is the daughter of the 12th dancing princess, it made sense to choose a ballet dancer motif, as she is...drum roll...a ballet dancer!
So I purchased two ballerina woodshapes from the Woodshape Store, painted them gold, and added bling stickers to them. Next, I painted a popsicle stick silver and sewed curtains around it and glued the popsicle stick in between the two ballerina woodshapes as a curtain rod. This way, it would look like two ballerinas are holding up curtains for Justine Dancer as she sleeps. Unfortunately, it looks like it dangles down quite far and hangs right in her face!
For Justine Dancer's footboard, I painted a smaller ballerina woodshape pink, found a wood plaque/frame and painted it silver, and then edged the frame with more of the bling stickers. I glued that to the foot of the bed, in between two gold poles. The final touch was to top the poles with the shiny silver foam balls and wind some of the pink ribbon around the poles. And voila! Justine Dancer has a new doll bed.
And...this means we can complete our Ever After High Dorm room collection by finally making a room for Justine Dancer and her roommate, Ramona Badwolf!

I really liked what you did with the bed. The only thing I would have done differently is put the ballerinas at the foot board so you could see them. You really did such great work on them, with the rhinestones as tu-tu outlines.

You know, that's a good idea. I originally put the ballerinas in the headboard because I thought they'd be taller! 😅 But given how tall they turned out to be...I think you're right, should have done them at the footboard.
