I love seeing Scotty there on his own lining up against a whole team of 20 guys in the other lane. Your level of self-containment is crazy. Also amazing skills keeping that off the wall!

@@GLOBAL-INTIFADA Yes it is in case of fire. Not to sound like a prick, but it kind of defeats the purpose of even wearing the helmet if you don't put the visor down. Sure the helmet is mainly to protect you in case of an accident and stop your melon from getting squished. But it has a huge secondary purpose with the visor when it comes to motorsport in particular because it creates a sealed environment for your face. Once you start running faster than 9 second runs you need a serious step up in safety gear like your roll cage must start getting to funny car spec and you need extra level rated fire suit, drivers typically must wear gloves, fire shoes, and even fire head cover. And this mostly comes down to the fuel they are using at that level. They aren't using regular gasoline anymore and typically have race fuels that are more oxygenated and/or methanol. When these fuels catch on fire they burn super intense and have nearly clear flames during daylight hours. It's very hard to see the clear/blueish flame and therefore you don't usually know something is on fire until you FEEL it. And that's a bad place to be when it comes to protecting your face. So typically your visor down and wearing a fire hood is what gives you 10-20 seconds protection when engulfed in flames to try and avoid permanent damage. Without that visor down the flames can literally just get right to your most valuable body parts (eyes, nose, mouth, lungs) and cause serious damage within seconds. The difference of having a visor down vs up can be the difference in life changing injuries. It seems like something insignificant at the time until you actually have an accident and catch on fire. And when your gear is finally put to use is when you finally realize its value.
