Here is a video reviewing my commentary and plan today on 3 different trading setups on S&P 500 (/ES $SPY $SPX) using orderflow tools such as DOM (depth of market), footprint chart, Bookmap (heatmap) and supply & demand zones.
First trade = $2,575 Profit
Second trade = $1,875 Profit
Third trade = $4,000 Profit

its essentially trapped buyers at the highs, closing out their positions or stop losses to cover they buys by "selling" this fuels further selling which is displayed in the delta , if one is watching Cumulative delta that will show you the overall delta between buyers and sellers. the "areas" that hes mentioning are essentially either the vPOC, point of control, value area high, value area low, and previous and current balance. these provide the "supply and demand" so to speak and "areas" to take trades off of. for example if price is building "value"above the value area high, that could potentially mean a move higher. when taking in confluence with order flow and the footprint with a CD being positive, and the change in delta being postivie, with market orders jumping the bid and buying on the ASK ( an aggressive action) this can further verify the move higher. hope that gives some insight. also towards the end at 11:58 thats known as absorption

Do you use Sierra charts for DOM and flow chart? Do you have a video of the setup you currently use to trade?
Thank you very much. Will rewatch for sure. Past 10. Took a while. In your opinion are there other strategies/data points like VWAP (getting familiar with this. Making some coin and getting a paper cuts of course) that might add confluence to this type of order flow detail? Or might that just add to analysis paralysis?

You can use active trader on TOs. TOS bookmap doesnt have a DOM

You can but works best for futures. For equities, its best to use some type of accumulation / interest flow

Bro the whole point of this video and some of his recent ones are about how order flow can show you the 'behind the scenes' of the candles and how accurate & truthful this information is compared to candlesticks. While of course it's possible without, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to dismiss order flow despite being aware of it, and looking for shortcuts. Personally I'm not a fan of Bookmap if you have footprint charts.
I am jabstraining on in ur discord. How can we use the heat map in relation to this for people who don't have or use the orderflow?
You can use a normal time sales and level 2 but harder to organize such data

Doesn’t really prove much, if the flow is showing lots of aggressive buying at the highs and then just sells off then whats the point of seeing that, wouldn’t that mean you should scale in more seeing the buying increase
There is a buyer and seller for every transaction. So if tons of aggressive buying but no follow through, it means a passive seller absorbing all the buying.

Hey, Carmine… I need major help… I feel like I’m gambling … I get into a trade , it goes against me… I’m afraid to get out… I stay in it on hopium… not sure what the cause for staying in a loosing trade and quickly getting out of the winning trades?
You need to have an edge, or a strategy which puts the odds in your favor that you've tested. You need to create a plan and follow that plan with DEFINED risk BEFORE you enter the trade. Therefore there is no guessing while you're in the trade. Hold until your stop loss or target triggers. Will help avoid emotional decisions!
SIZE DOWN! That will help as you manage all of these emotions.
what is the software used to show the footprint chart?
Sierra Chart. But you don't get that footprint chart by default. You either create it yourself or find a chartbook to download online by paying or for free.
