Regardless of the time frame chart, the DATA remains the same.
Price & volume do not change. Only how the data is organized.
If a day trader (few hours) / trend trader = higher timeframe as you are not so concerned with what's happening in the near (short) term.
If a SHORT TERM scalper/day trader = smaller time frame as you are concerned with what is occurring in the NEAR future and closest past moment.
Time frame charts simply represent the perception of the market prices in that specified time….

Can’t stress how much and how important it is to understand order flow. It’s something you really have to see for yourself. Messing around with different time frames. And keep an eye on the Delta. it’s helped me stay in trades longer and stay out of trades I don’t belong in. Carmine is right here. Look behind the candles in order flow and volume profile.

I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Elizabeth Wesley

I had just asked this question about what time frame to use to another trader, then I saw your video pop up right after. Excellent video. Excellent, excellent, excellent. I will watch again and again, then start reading my order flow book which I already have. I've been studying volume and price and it's at least letting me know how long I should remain in the trade when I see strong or weak volume or an anomaly between price and volume and what that is telling me. Thanks for the insight.

Price for me doesn’t change on volume. Following Time and price theory is more convincing and I truly believe in price algorithmic delivery that states no matter how many buyers or sellers in the market, it will go to that level. Seeking liquidity and efficiency in the market as a Fair value to buy/sell is more valid for me otherwise it’s time extortion and just consolidation for the next leg. Time of the day/week/month and even year (seasonality) is very good and main factor to frame a setup.

    • @carmine_rosato

Great video Carmine. It was a question I had the beginning of my trading journey: what does time and these candlestick charts that use time as a variable have to do with price movement. At the end of the day, buyers and sellers are going to transact at any time they want so you cannot determine your entries on a candle closing but on rather WHERE the market is accumulating

At 18:32 of the video…this is extremely tricky though. I can’t tell you how many times I saw some buyers come in and there was a huge wick, but seconds later, sellers take control and shoot it back down again. Similar to what happened at that 9:55 candle. I get your point that the reward if it played out would be great but man have I had a tough time picking that bottom.
