I bought my dream car 4 months ago, a Mazda MX-5 nd, and it is just as you described in the video. After 4 months of using this car as an everyday car, it no longer feels like the first time I sat in this car. But I have to say, when I park the car somewhere and then come back and see it, the car manages to put a smile on my face. Dreams are important to us because they give us goals that we would like to achieve. They make us happy, but we shouldn't overdo it because people get used to things very quickly. And every now and then we should just sit down and be grateful for everything we have and what we have achieved.🙏
My dad finally got his dream car, an SS Camaro. Now in his 50s, he spent most of his adult life raising 10 kids. He loves the car, but as he enjoys it more, he's realizing his body is worn out and it's difficult for him to get into the vehicle. @Nov_Net I worked two jobs for a year and a half at a grocery store and greenhouse took every shift all the overtime I could get. It's just me and my mom living together so we split everything evenly. About a year ago I got a job at usps and it was during Christmas time so every day was 12 hour shifts going into triple overtime so I was a able to save up a lot. I never bought wants only needs.

Got my dream car, Audi RS5 B8.5 2015 with the titanium exhaust, and 3 years later it stills makes me giggle and I look back at it as I walk away, and puts a smile on my face as I'm walking up to it. When I am citing at home or at work away from the car, I'm not the sane pre-RS5 guy, I'm the guy waiting or looking for an excuse to drive his dream car. You are right about the attentions. You get more negative attentions and people will hate you. A month ago I came across a Toyota Tacoma driver purposely rear ending a 5.0 mustang and he drove off. The mustang was badly damaged so he could not catch up. And just yesterday I saw another video of another Tacoma driver purposely running an Audi RS5 driver off the road. Just like the mustang, the RS5 was badly damaged. But hey don't let the hate prevent you from getting your dream high performance car if you can afford it.
A lot of these truck and SUV drivers seem to have a weird bully complex on the road. I saw a video where Mark Rober tested which types of vehicles would purposefully go out their way to run over small animals and it was mostly SUV/Truck drivers it's really odd.
I think I might’ve actually seen the video of that Mustang getting rear ended on instagram, pretty sure it’s the same one. And yes the type of people that drive trucks/SUV’s are always the most hateful and aggressive, likely compensating for something.
That's awesome dude. Good for you. I had an 06 GTO as a teenager and definitely know that you get a bunch of people egging you on and even giving you a hassle. I'm so used to it people saying the good, the bad, and the big mad jealous people. Those last people will just move on and find the next thing to get mad at. as a younger person who continuously buys cars, the only regret i have, is knowing that i could have a large sum of money in my personal investments, i could retire so rich but instead i blow money on cars LMAOOO, but its SO FUN. Can you buy it in cash? if yes then continue to question 2 and is it worth the compounded interest that you could make if you invested the money. (any 40k car would be worth nearly 200k in 20 years in a traditional roth ira at 8 percent) if you answered NO to either of those 2 questions, you should NOT buy the car. financial literacy is important, wait 20 years and you can have all the cars you want and more because youll be nearly retired. being financially blessed at a young age can turn into a lifetime of wealth or a lifetime of poverty, it all depends on how you manage your money. the point about whats next is valid tho, im literally about to buy a third car because i keep wanting more and more LMAO

Im 23 and just got my dream car a few months ago. Its an old 2007 Mustang GT in spectacular condition and the attention thing is right. It is a double edged sword. There are many good things like making people smile and the kids love asking me to rev the engine for em when I go pick my baby brother up from school. But I have noticed an astronomical increase in road rage, jealousy and generally just being a cop magnet just for existing.
2012 GT/CS in yellow blaze for me. Got it three years ago, 20k miles 1 owner. I agree whole heartedly. The amount of people who go out of their way is insane. Cut me off, pull out in front of me at the last second. Blows my mind honestly. Also to this day puts a smile on my face and has stayed an amusing car to drive. Getting a supercharger here in a few months to finally complete the dream.

Red C7 Z06 here, I want to clarify something. People don't cut you off to be rude, they just don't see you. I thought this at first too, it was weird how in the Z06 everyone lets me in when I signal during rush hour or is super courteous but at the same time I was getting blatantly cutoff randomly. It turns out they didn't even see me, most people have their mirrors wrong and angled in so much that you are invisible when close to them. A good indicator of whether or not that person sees me is if I am behind them, and I look at the drivers' side mirror and I can see their eyes, then I know they have their mirrors wrong (about 80% of people around here) and they WILL not see me if I am next to them or a little bit behind them, as when they go to blind spot check, especially in an SUV or Truck, the Z06 is below their door even.

I just bought a 2024 Nissan GTR. It has been my dream car since I was 10. I have owned it for a few months now, it’s not something that only I get to enjoy, but my parents too. The car puts a smile on my face and my dad too whenever we take it for a spin. I have a really good job to afford it, but I do ponder if this was the right choice I made. Should I have waited to get it after being more financially stable? But I looked at it like this. My parents aren’t getting any younger and what if I started a family of my own? I wouldn’t be able to share this experience with my parents if they are gone and if I started a family, a dream car is not the top priority because your significant other and the kid will always take priority. I worked hard all my life and went to college and got a good job. I think it was right to treat myself and buy it. No college debt, just taking care of parents and now my dream car. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.
We could be dead tomorrow. So, on that point alone it’s important to pursue dreams. Would I personally buy a car like that without actual wealth behind the car? No. But I understand how some might. To each their own. We all have a life to lead. Those are special cars. Enjoy. Took me 50 years, but I eventually made my dream purchase as well.

Porsche was also being kind of annoying in their sales approach so that made the decision even easier. I would have went F-Type regardless because I preferred it, but yeah, Porsche was playing games. I didn’t like that. You are very correct that the more important things in life like wives and children will affect your ability to buy these unimportant toys. Young children and mortgages are a real bummer in terms of having an impact on one’s ability to justify these sorts of purchases…lol…I had no choice but to wait until now in my case. To be honest, driving that Jaguar will stand out more than a Porsche. As cool and as fast as those Porsches are, they are a bit too common at Cars and Coffee or any car shows. To a few events I have been, I’m the only GTR or there might be one other and a lots of C8 Vettes and Porsches.

The other thing about Porsche that I don’t really like is the image that some times get associated with that ownership crowd. I know that not all Porsche owners are douche bag snobs, but my god, there is something to it a lot of the time. I gravitate towards the cars that everyone does not seem to have…The ones you don’t see every day…Your car is in that direction as well. After we talked I went and watched a few videos on your car. The Savage Geese one they did on that 2020 was excellent. If I had the financial ability to have several nice cars I would have a GTR in my stable as well for sure. I’ve had a 1999 corolla followed by an NC Miata, then a Lexus is250 and now drive a 2017 Macan S. Been trading up to less reliable cars that are still fun to drive as i’ve had kids. But the Lotus Elise is the ultimate dream always has been. And it’s got a reliable 4 cylinder toyota engine.
I’m 27 and bought my Shelby this past July. Now I have two mustang and I don’t regret owning them at all. I was told to buy my toys young if I could because who knows if you will be able to in your later years. Having a daily driver helps your fun car keep that special feeling it has the first time you drove it.

I have an NB miata rn that iI cant drive for another year but its still awsome to have. Its definitely really small so if your a bigger person beware and other drivers may have trouble seeing you. Still a great car though and hasn't given my family a single major issue for a decade.
I bought a 2016 SCION FRS when I was 18 I was still in high school I worked two jobs to get it. This was back in 2018/2019 it’s an amazing car and it hugs the road. But I sold it because I joined the military I regret it
Agree with most of this, except the part of driving it daily and how it changes your feeling about the car. I actually think getting your dream car and driving it daily is a great challenge in reflecting on your gratitude. I've been driving sports cars for almost 4 years now and upgraded my Z4M40i to an M3 Comp this year. While obviously this special feeling when you hop into the car with sweaty hands and excitement goes away, I still enjoy the acceleration the same way and I still floor it as often as in the beginning.
My realistically achievable ideal daily driver is a Tesla Model X Plaid. My dream super car is a 2013 (or later) Audi R8 V10 Coupe. I totally can relate to the reality of driving a super fun, high HP vehicle...after filling up at the pump and a couple sets of high performance sets of tires, the cost reality tames your lead foot considerably; maybe that's just me though. My current "stable" is a 2021 Model Y and a 2024 BMW K1600B Exclusive. Keep at it king, you'll find a new mountain to climb!
I’m not particularly young at the age of 33, but I always wanted a Porsche Carrera 911 4S , the 997.2 model made from like 2009-2011. I ended up getting the 2011 model. I’m actually very glad to get it as so far no major maintenance issues as the previous owner dealt with this. I’m also very proactive on maintenance. I do not regret getting my dream car, plus Porsche is pretty awesome.
Almost bought a 996.2 c4s from a private owner. It was a dream that I manifested into reality and the car was perfect with only 10,000 miles. However, I walked away because I don’t have a garage. I’m afraid of the maintenance and insurance for a 20 year old german car. Kinda wish I did it, but I’m thinking of school and a career change, so I let it go.
@@itsgbox92 your concerns are completely valid, especially for a 20-year-old car. Despite having only 10,000 miles, you never know what potential mechanical issues could bite you. Also, it’s a good year prioritizing your education first and later on down the line when you are making good money, you could really get into getting a newer Porsche.
I have myself a C6 Supercharge. And i love it. When i first bought it i didnt think id ever own a Corvette in general. I was setting my standard low and was aiming for an I-Roc Z28 Camaro. As a C6 owner i get ALOT of attention but what puts a smile on my face is when kids are shocked and wanna hear the car rev. Just knowing i can set a goal for a kid to strive better in life is a good feeling as well. 🔥🔥
Glad I saw this video. Recently getting my drivers license, I have been looking for a car to buy. In the midst of my search, I got distracted by cooler cars that I want (specifically, an old schooled, black, 90s corvette. Its nothing insane, but still, not anything that I could easily afford considering that I have college debt on my plate. I thought to myself, "Its only a few thousand more than a normal car." and "This will be fine, its not like the world is gonna end." But taking it into deeper thought, I would be driving, ALOT. and Gas would only continue to get more and more expensive. Plus if I wanted to carpool some friends or family, then I would not have the proper space to do so (It's a sports car, not a family SUV.). I now am considering the extreme importance of getting a daily. But not only for practical use, but for when I get a cooler car that I want, I wont be non-stop using it to where it gets less fun to ride in. (Plus I dont want to be broke cause of gas lol)
Attainable dream car has got to be a Clean* SC 300 with the 2JZ. (Not no 7k drift build.)To me it's a luxury supra with a few different engine parts but basically a supra without the supra tax. Dream car has got to be a toyota 2000GT or the LFA depending what i can find as they both had very low production numbers

I was able to get my dream car last year this time. Thank the LORD. 07 Nissan 350Z HR. True it just sits in my garage most of the time. But it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I know it’s just material stuff. So love your family and friends more.
I bought my attainable dream car almost a year ago. I enjoy it every time I drive it because I still have my old jeep. You can avoid most of these regrets by not driving your dream car every day. I drive it on weekends or every other weekend and it still feels amazing!!!
If you saved up enough cash to pay for your dream car, why not do it. These dorks on the internet will say it's a depreciating asset, but if you're a true car guy, you're not buying the fucking car with hopes to sell it and make profit in the future. You're buying it to drive it and get as much fun out of it as possible. Only maybe hold off on financing and stuff like that, you can dig yourself into a hole.

I’m happy with the car I own, there really isn’t better for myself. It’s a sleeper that gets fast, I understand the car very well and know what can and can’t do, it’s easy to maintain. Easy to park. I’m not afraid to push it when the situation calls for it.
I bought 24 mustang GT in may and it and quite literally I am experiencing mostly everything you said in the vid. Every time I’m out in it I feel like I’m always being watched because I don’t see nearly as many S650 mustangs as I do S550. But with all that being said I have zero regrets because I view it as a treat to own such a fun car.

Bought a brand new manual mustang when I turned 18. It was beautiful. The payments were $400 (because of a large down payment) and insurance was around $350/mo. It was ridiculous. Oh and premium gas only. I realized quickly that noooo body cares about your car, and being young means everyone around you is jealous and assumes your parents paid for it, some of it, or at least the insurance or something. But I just want to say I KNOW the desire and impulsive thought process. BUT it's financially irresponsible to buy a new car at a young age - SAVE YOUR MONEY. Look at the S&P500 from 6 years ago to now - if you spent $45k on stocks (+$5k on a beater w/ repairs) OR $50k on a nice car, you'd notice the $50k car is now worth $20k and your $45k stocks are worth $90k!!! Don't fall victim to those intrusive "yolo, I may die tomorrow, I can afford it now" kinds of thoughts. I had them too, buying brand new sport bikes and jetskis and all sorts of crap just because I was making good money. Trust me it's not worth it, I'm just as happy in my older 2000s jetski than I was in a brand new 2017 jetski. True wealth is looking at every single car around you, knowing you could buy 99% of the cars around you BRAND NEW, IN CASH, TODAY if you wanted to, but earning interest on the money instead. Rant over. tldr don't blow your money on things that are depreciating in the thousands per year. Save and invest. You'll thank yourself very soon.

Working on it, you see my dream car is a Porsche Panamera GTS. Perfect balance of sports and practicality. I need my car not just look nice while driving but look great while putting luggage in the trunk and giving rides to friends. Panamera does everything perfectly, and it’s a very low key car. You don’t get too much attention with a hatchback coupe
I've been dailying a 6 Speed 2012 Camaro SS for the last 2 years, and I'm 27. It's definitely worth it if you're the right type of person. I chose a manual so I would have an infinite amount of learning to do, and thus never get bored. I heal toe shift pretty well at this point, but still have plenty of things to learn hahaha

My first dream car was a Camaro SS, I bought it at 28 and absolutely love it. I'm 32 now and I daily my car. I agree with pretty much every point you made here. I got my dream vehicle this weekend, and I promise, I'm flooring it every time I drive that thing... because it requires flat ground to hit 65mph. It's a 1984 Nissan 720. I'm now a firm believer in driving slow cars fast is better than driving fast cars slow.
I got my highschool dream car at 17. Its was a beautiful 2016 mustang that had every mod I could’ve asked for. Car was perfect…. the first year. After that it just felt like a regular car. That adrenaline always dwindles!
When I bought my first car, I had plans to manual swap it, maybe K swap it, as well. Basically turn it into a Civic Sedan with the RSX powertrain. Then I sold it for a blue FC3. I agree with your point about driving it. I don't see any point in flooring it at every light, or racing whoever I see, or even modifying it. I want to change a bit of the exhaust, sure, but that would pretty much be it lol. Great video, bud!
gotta be so real I have yet to get sick of my car, bought a 1977 chevy nova as my first car like 1.5 years ago and the thing still puts a smile on my face with every cold start and every time I put the petal to the metal. She's bone stock, probably makes like 150hp but goddamn does that 350 every put a smile on my face. Old school cars just got something special about them.
Got a MT82 2018 Mustang GT PP1, and I absolutely love my car. I will say the thrill does go down with time, but I still enjoy it a lot. My attainable dream car is a GT350R, spec'd out by Shelby. My all-time dream car is the Ford GT40
Definitely feel this. I bought my 67 Mustang at 21 a month ago, already have been having trouble with it. Can’t even get it on the road because of insurance, it’s killing me that I can’t drive it and it needs a lot of interior cosmetic work. I know i’ll get there eventually but man it’s tough not being able to enjoy it the way I thought i was going to.
I got 2/3 of my dream cars. I have a 350z and just picked up recently a 370z Nismo v2. I can definitely relate to what you said about wanting more. A Nismo R35 GTR is my last stop. That and being the same person I was 3 months ago when I was saving up for it. When I’m in the car, I forget what I’m driving almost till I hop out the car to admire it.
I bought a 91´Honda CRX and despite having only 150hp it is always a pleasure to feel it and drive it But sometimes i can have the same feeling as you describe, but when it comes, i do remember the first time i drive it and keep me in mind the fact that i love this car so much

Damn thats hella accurate, I recently bought my dream car at a relative young age and everything you say makes so much sense. I aswell thought I am gonna stomp it everyday and have so much fun with it, but I just did not, mostly because I was scared to damage it :D, even though the car is known to be relatively bulletproof. Still he is totaly right.

I bought my dream car 4 months ago, a Mazda MX-5 nd, and it is just as you described in the video. After 4 months of using this car as an everyday car, it no longer feels like the first time I sat in this car. But I have to say, when I park the car somewhere and then come back and see it, the car manages to put a smile on my face.
Dreams are important to us because they give us goals that we would like to achieve. They make us happy, but we shouldn't overdo it because people get used to things very quickly. And every now and then we should just sit down and be grateful for everything we have and what we have achieved.🙏

My dad finally got his dream car, an SS Camaro. Now in his 50s, he spent most of his adult life raising 10 kids. He loves the car, but as he enjoys it more, he's realizing his body is worn out and it's difficult for him to get into the vehicle. @Nov_Net I worked two jobs for a year and a half at a grocery store and greenhouse took every shift all the overtime I could get. It's just me and my mom living together so we split everything evenly. About a year ago I got a job at usps and it was during Christmas time so every day was 12 hour shifts going into triple overtime so I was a able to save up a lot. I never bought wants only needs.

A month ago I came across a Toyota Tacoma driver purposely rear ending a 5.0 mustang and he drove off. The mustang was badly damaged so he could not catch up.
And just yesterday I saw another video of another Tacoma driver purposely running an Audi RS5 driver off the road. Just like the mustang, the RS5 was badly damaged. But hey don't let the hate prevent you from getting your dream high performance car if you can afford it.

A lot of these truck and SUV drivers seem to have a weird bully complex on the road. I saw a video where Mark Rober tested which types of vehicles would purposefully go out their way to run over small animals and it was mostly SUV/Truck drivers it's really odd.
I think I might’ve actually seen the video of that Mustang getting rear ended on instagram, pretty sure it’s the same one. And yes the type of people that drive trucks/SUV’s are always the most hateful and aggressive, likely compensating for something.

Im 23 and just got my dream car a few months ago. Its an old 2007 Mustang GT in spectacular condition and the attention thing is right. It is a double edged sword. There are many good things like making people smile and the kids love asking me to rev the engine for em when I go pick my baby brother up from school. But I have noticed an astronomical increase in road rage, jealousy and generally just being a cop magnet just for existing.
2012 GT/CS in yellow blaze for me. Got it three years ago, 20k miles 1 owner. I agree whole heartedly. The amount of people who go out of their way is insane. Cut me off, pull out in front of me at the last second. Blows my mind honestly. Also to this day puts a smile on my face and has stayed an amusing car to drive. Getting a supercharger here in a few months to finally complete the dream.

Red C7 Z06 here, I want to clarify something. People don't cut you off to be rude, they just don't see you. I thought this at first too, it was weird how in the Z06 everyone lets me in when I signal during rush hour or is super courteous but at the same time I was getting blatantly cutoff randomly. It turns out they didn't even see me, most people have their mirrors wrong and angled in so much that you are invisible when close to them. A good indicator of whether or not that person sees me is if I am behind them, and I look at the drivers' side mirror and I can see their eyes, then I know they have their mirrors wrong (about 80% of people around here) and they WILL not see me if I am next to them or a little bit behind them, as when they go to blind spot check, especially in an SUV or Truck, the Z06 is below their door even.
That would make a lot of sense since it’s typically suvs and trucks that do it. Nice to know

I just bought a 2024 Nissan GTR. It has been my dream car since I was 10. I have owned it for a few months now, it’s not something that only I get to enjoy, but my parents too. The car puts a smile on my face and my dad too whenever we take it for a spin. I have a really good job to afford it, but I do ponder if this was the right choice I made. Should I have waited to get it after being more financially stable? But I looked at it like this. My parents aren’t getting any younger and what if I started a family of my own? I wouldn’t be able to share this experience with my parents if they are gone and if I started a family, a dream car is not the top priority because your significant other and the kid will always take priority. I worked hard all my life and went to college and got a good job. I think it was right to treat myself and buy it. No college debt, just taking care of parents and now my dream car. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.
We could be dead tomorrow. So, on that point alone it’s important to pursue dreams. Would I personally buy a car like that without actual wealth behind the car? No. But I understand how some might. To each their own. We all have a life to lead. Those are special cars. Enjoy. Took me 50 years, but I eventually made my dream purchase as well.

Porsche was also being kind of annoying in their sales approach so that made the decision even easier. I would have went F-Type regardless because I preferred it, but yeah, Porsche was playing games. I didn’t like that.
You are very correct that the more important things in life like wives and children will affect your ability to buy these unimportant toys. Young children and mortgages are a real bummer in terms of having an impact on one’s ability to justify these sorts of purchases…lol…I had no choice but to wait until now in my case.

To be honest, driving that Jaguar will stand out more than a Porsche. As cool and as fast as those Porsches are, they are a bit too common at Cars and Coffee or any car shows. To a few events I have been, I’m the only GTR or there might be one other and a lots of C8 Vettes and Porsches.

I’ve had a 1999 corolla followed by an NC Miata, then a Lexus is250 and now drive a 2017 Macan S. Been trading up to less reliable cars that are still fun to drive as i’ve had kids. But the Lotus Elise is the ultimate dream always has been. And it’s got a reliable 4 cylinder toyota engine.
I’m 27 and bought my Shelby this past July. Now I have two mustang and I don’t regret owning them at all. I was told to buy my toys young if I could because who knows if you will be able to in your later years. Having a daily driver helps your fun car keep that special feeling it has the first time you drove it.

Agree with most of this, except the part of driving it daily and how it changes your feeling about the car. I actually think getting your dream car and driving it daily is a great challenge in reflecting on your gratitude. I've been driving sports cars for almost 4 years now and upgraded my Z4M40i to an M3 Comp this year. While obviously this special feeling when you hop into the car with sweaty hands and excitement goes away, I still enjoy the acceleration the same way and I still floor it as often as in the beginning.
My realistically achievable ideal daily driver is a Tesla Model X Plaid. My dream super car is a 2013 (or later) Audi R8 V10 Coupe. I totally can relate to the reality of driving a super fun, high HP vehicle...after filling up at the pump and a couple sets of high performance sets of tires, the cost reality tames your lead foot considerably; maybe that's just me though. My current "stable" is a 2021 Model Y and a 2024 BMW K1600B Exclusive.

I’m not particularly young at the age of 33, but I always wanted a Porsche Carrera 911 4S , the 997.2 model made from like 2009-2011. I ended up getting the 2011 model. I’m actually very glad to get it as so far no major maintenance issues as the previous owner dealt with this. I’m also very proactive on maintenance. I do not regret getting my dream car, plus Porsche is pretty awesome.
Almost bought a 996.2 c4s from a private owner. It was a dream that I manifested into reality and the car was perfect with only 10,000 miles. However, I walked away because I don’t have a garage. I’m afraid of the maintenance and insurance for a 20 year old german car. Kinda wish I did it, but I’m thinking of school and a career change, so I let it go.
@@itsgbox92 your concerns are completely valid, especially for a 20-year-old car. Despite having only 10,000 miles, you never know what potential mechanical issues could bite you. Also, it’s a good year prioritizing your education first and later on down the line when you are making good money, you could really get into getting a newer Porsche.

I have myself a C6 Supercharge. And i love it. When i first bought it i didnt think id ever own a Corvette in general. I was setting my standard low and was aiming for an I-Roc Z28 Camaro. As a C6 owner i get ALOT of attention but what puts a smile on my face is when kids are shocked and wanna hear the car rev. Just knowing i can set a goal for a kid to strive better in life is a good feeling as well. 🔥🔥
Glad I saw this video. Recently getting my drivers license, I have been looking for a car to buy. In the midst of my search, I got distracted by cooler cars that I want (specifically, an old schooled, black, 90s corvette. Its nothing insane, but still, not anything that I could easily afford considering that I have college debt on my plate. I thought to myself, "Its only a few thousand more than a normal car." and "This will be fine, its not like the world is gonna end." But taking it into deeper thought, I would be driving, ALOT. and Gas would only continue to get more and more expensive. Plus if I wanted to carpool some friends or family, then I would not have the proper space to do so (It's a sports car, not a family SUV.).
I now am considering the extreme importance of getting a daily. But not only for practical use, but for when I get a cooler car that I want, I wont be non-stop using it to where it gets less fun to ride in. (Plus I dont want to be broke cause of gas lol)
Attainable dream car has got to be a Clean* SC 300 with the 2JZ. (Not no 7k drift build.)To me it's a luxury supra with a few different engine parts but basically a supra without the supra tax.
Dream car has got to be a toyota 2000GT or the LFA depending what i can find as they both had very low production numbers

I was able to get my dream car last year this time. Thank the LORD. 07 Nissan 350Z HR. True it just sits in my garage most of the time. But it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I know it’s just material stuff. So love your family and friends more.
I bought my attainable dream car almost a year ago. I enjoy it every time I drive it because I still have my old jeep. You can avoid most of these regrets by not driving your dream car every day. I drive it on weekends or every other weekend and it still feels amazing!!!

If you saved up enough cash to pay for your dream car, why not do it. These dorks on the internet will say it's a depreciating asset, but if you're a true car guy, you're not buying the fucking car with hopes to sell it and make profit in the future. You're buying it to drive it and get as much fun out of it as possible. Only maybe hold off on financing and stuff like that, you can dig yourself into a hole.

I’m happy with the car I own, there really isn’t better for myself. It’s a sleeper that gets fast, I understand the car very well and know what can and can’t do, it’s easy to maintain. Easy to park. I’m not afraid to push it when the situation calls for it.
I bought 24 mustang GT in may and it and quite literally I am experiencing mostly everything you said in the vid. Every time I’m out in it I feel like I’m always being watched because I don’t see nearly as many S650 mustangs as I do S550. But with all that being said I have zero regrets because I view it as a treat to own such a fun car.

Bought a brand new manual mustang when I turned 18. It was beautiful.
The payments were $400 (because of a large down payment) and insurance was around $350/mo. It was ridiculous. Oh and premium gas only.
I realized quickly that noooo body cares about your car, and being young means everyone around you is jealous and assumes your parents paid for it, some of it, or at least the insurance or something.
But I just want to say I KNOW the desire and impulsive thought process. BUT it's financially irresponsible to buy a new car at a young age - SAVE YOUR MONEY.
Look at the S&P500 from 6 years ago to now - if you spent $45k on stocks (+$5k on a beater w/ repairs) OR $50k on a nice car, you'd notice the $50k car is now worth $20k and your $45k stocks are worth $90k!!!
Don't fall victim to those intrusive "yolo, I may die tomorrow, I can afford it now" kinds of thoughts. I had them too, buying brand new sport bikes and jetskis and all sorts of crap just because I was making good money. Trust me it's not worth it, I'm just as happy in my older 2000s jetski than I was in a brand new 2017 jetski.
True wealth is looking at every single car around you, knowing you could buy 99% of the cars around you BRAND NEW, IN CASH, TODAY if you wanted to, but earning interest on the money instead.

I need my car not just look nice while driving but look great while putting luggage in the trunk and giving rides to friends. Panamera does everything perfectly, and it’s a very low key car. You don’t get too much attention with a hatchback coupe

I've been dailying a 6 Speed 2012 Camaro SS for the last 2 years, and I'm 27. It's definitely worth it if you're the right type of person. I chose a manual so I would have an infinite amount of learning to do, and thus never get bored. I heal toe shift pretty well at this point, but still have plenty of things to learn hahaha

Right now I have a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. My dream daily. I love it to death, can’t wait to be on tons and 40s. Solid my Focus ST that was fully built and made 530whp. Personally going to something I can daily was the best. I didn’t buy it to go fast so I enjoy every second of being in it, especially trails. Later down the line I’ll get a project for speed, that way it doesn’t dull the experience since it’s not a daily

My first dream car was a Camaro SS, I bought it at 28 and absolutely love it. I'm 32 now and I daily my car. I agree with pretty much every point you made here. I've been fortunate enough to be blessed with a good paying job and I can easily afford to buy it but right now I've decided to wait a little longer and really think about it. I got my highschool dream car at 17. Its was a beautiful 2016 mustang that had every mod I could’ve asked for. Car was perfect…. the first year. After that it just felt like a regular car. That adrenaline always dwindles!
When I bought my first car, I had plans to manual swap it, maybe K swap it, as well. Basically turn it into a Civic Sedan with the RSX powertrain. Then I sold it for a blue FC3. I agree with your point about driving it. I don't see any point in flooring it at every light, or racing whoever I see, or even modifying it. She's bone stock, probably makes like 150hp but goddamn does that 350 every put a smile on my face. Old school cars just got something special about them.

Definitely feel this. I bought my 67 Mustang at 21 a month ago, already have been having trouble with it. Can’t even get it on the road because of insurance, it’s killing me that I can’t drive it and it needs a lot of interior cosmetic work. I know i’ll get there eventually but man it’s tough not being able to enjoy it the way I thought i was going to.
I got 2/3 of my dream cars. I have a 350z and just picked up recently a 370z Nismo v2. I can definitely relate to what you said about wanting more. A Nismo R35 GTR is my last stop. That and being the same person I was 3 months ago when I was saving up for it. When I’m in the car, I forget what I’m driving almost till I hop out the car to admire it.
