The centerpiece of the revitalized #worldtradecenter complex in Lower Manhattan, is One World Trade Center (also known as One World Trade, One WTC, and former Freedom Tower). One WTC is the tallest building in the United States, the tallest building in the Western hemisphere, and the seventh-tallest #building in the world. The new skyscraper replaces the original 6 World Trade Center, which was located in the northwest corner of the 16-acre (6.5 ha) World Trade Center site.
The skyscraper in New York, is also known as Freedom Tower and is known as One World Trade Center (One WTC). This building is the centerpiece of the ongoing #construction Ground Zero, the site of the previous World Trade Center complex. The year 2014 saw the official opening of the building, which was the completion of a long and difficult chapter in the history of New York City's recovery from the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.
