Why any car company uses shiny black plastic blows my mind. It looks great brand new and that's it. It's soft and scratches immediately. I can't even open or close my car doors normally because of it. Shows every single fingerprint. I don't get it. I have an Fk8. Luckily it looks like Honda realized their mistake and the 11th gens have dull plastic trim on the exterior door pillars now.

I bought PlastrX from Halfords (aka Plastx in US), watched this review then Ammo NYC's review. Decided to give it a go using Ammo's methods - worked brilliant on my Boxster rear window, wind deflector, and exposed plastic. I would give it a solid 8.5 rating. Good product 👏.

Hey bro, Did you use the Plastx on colored plastic? Like was the wind deflector black? I've used it on clear plastic but I need to polish the soft black acrylic on the wing of my FK8. It came on the car, not an Ebay trunk bolted wing lol.

Apparently there was already a product in the UK known as "Plast-X", so Meguair's relabelled the product as "PlastRX" just for you guys, hence your double label. BTW, the stuff is for CLEAR plastic, that's why it isn't doing what you want!!

Thanks for the video. About the name of the product, it seems it's just the same product formula but differents markets. For US e UK it's plast XR, in Europe they sell it as PlastX. Anyway did u find anything else wich really works on that kind of surfaces?

Doesn't work on clear plastic either. Literally does nothing.

@@motorshedsteve false, you just need to do a couple of coats. I bought the same product a few days ago and only with 20 mins of medium pressure while applying it got rid of all of the scratches on my clear plastic now if I were to continue for a few more mins It would’ve looked brand new. Just do a coat, clean it with a microfiber towel then repeat the process until your liking.

I bought this for clear plastics, so the instrument panel etc. It was absolutely useless and a complete waste of money, I spent ages too so wasn't just me being impatient. Really disappointed

Yeah I found the same when I tried it on clear plastics. It's in the bin now.

Yup useless for interior trims. But it does work on plastic headlights and brake lights.

Did you find anything that works on the Guage cluster? I've tried Plastx, Novus #2, Meguiar's Clear plastic polish, Meguiar's Clear plastic cleaner and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. Nothing has worked easily yet. I can see a very very light improvement but that's after using that many products with at least 30 minutes of rubbing over multiple sessions. Don't even know at this point which product made the smallest Improvement
