    The RB20 to Max Verstappen is what the F2003-GA was to Michael Schumacher; the car where the team went in the wrong development direction but went on to become the champion off the back of their rivals fumbling the bag, complete with an awesome wet-weather drive that proved to be the kingmaker event.

      and, especially with what happened at Brazil; Max was truly this year's deserving champion - although Max's defending at COTA took the letter of the rules to their absolute brink (it was still all legal) Lando simply couldn't compete - partly because McLaren didn't do as good a job as Red Bull at managing their two drivers but equally because Max absolutely has the edge on him as a driver.

    Leclerc brought his problems on himself. He ruined his tyres pushing too hard which led to him finishing behind Sainz. Yet again Leclerc's own mistakes cost him - which is why I have repeatedly said he'll never be champion.
    Sainz is the one who should be angry at the treatment by Ferrari today. That pit mistake from the team which could have cost him a penalty for crossing the white line, the team not listening to his calls to pit which potentially cost him, and then being told not to overtake Leclerc. Sainz deserved his third place today.

    • @LawVS

      @deivison.72 6 годин тому +10

      I agree carlos deserved the third place today.
      i disagree with the " he will never be world champion" ... he has the speed, he knows how to trait the tires(in a normal race) he is being the best of the rest this year, he is being better than carlos(which destroyed more cars this year) and the same number of victories as Norris.
      He already beat Vertappen in some races(carlos never did). But yeah he needs to improve this "nice guy" thing for sure, and be more rude in mentality, and of course, stop to make the little mistakes.
      If damon hill and Villeneuve were world champions, Leclerc for sure can be as well.
      But i respect ur opinion tho.

    • @elianioriofarrell
      @elianioriofarrell 6 годин тому +8

      Leclerc made no mistake, no one knew what to expect from the tyres today. Idk why you people constantly have to label stuff Leclerc does as "mistakes", he doesn't crash anymore so you people have to find other things to nitpick to continue this idea of a driver making constant mistakes to fuel your hate at the idea of him winning a championship. Where were you last race in Brazil where sainz crashed twice? Also look at the head to heads this year, Leclerc has destroyed Sainz. This team radio is a good sign, it means he's finally learning to be more selfish.

    • @littleclum
      @littleclum 6 годин тому +4

      @@elianioriofarrell agreed! Being pushy / demanding on the team is where Charles has really lacked during race conditions: compared to current greats (results wise at least - ignoring subjective bias' as we shouod) like Max, Fernando, Lewis and even the last world champ he beat in his own team (Seb) back when they were team mates.
      Carlos has almost always been far more demanding mid-race than Charles ever has which is why Carlos garnered such applause for his pushiness on the team at Silverstone last year which led to him winning due to contravening the Ferrari pit wall strategists and making his own calls.
      Charles might finally be taking heed of this; being a people pleaser (even within your own team) will not give you a loud enough voice, and with Lewis joining Ferrari next year (who is very vocal - to the point of many F1 fans seeming him as being whiney/complaining; as indeed have Verstappen, Alonso, Vettel, Schumacher and other champions), Charles is almost certainly going to need to drop the nice guy of the paddock perception and get more feral and toothy...
      ...Seeing him become more demanding and selfish is really what he needs to be if he truly wants to become a world champion; a detail I think that he earned after defeating Sebastian Vettel when Ferrari was very definitely Seb's team as the number 1 driver.

    I think after the hype of the mid season swap of Colapinto is starting to fade, people are remembering what type of team Williams has been for years now.
    Don't forget Vowles told they were using Excel to keep inventory at the factory when he arrived. I wonder how much of that repair bill was caused by drivers overdriving to extract anything from that car.
    And unlike Sauber/Audi they are not having upcoming positive news or partnerships on the factory side of things. Even Alpine will get competent engines in 2026 with Mercedes. I feel Williams can be left behind hard in the coming years much like they were suffering before the Dorilton adquisition 😢

RB are openly telling it because they waiting for final decision on Checo after the final race. As Lawson and Tsunoda are both in there own fight for Construstors as a team. So RedBull is buying its time. This is called management at its best.

Taking shots at Norris with comments how Verstappen hasn't had a 'proper fight', as if one win and suddenly he's the main man going for the title.
    Sorry George, but you've got a long way to go before you prove yourself a real contender. Enjoy your win - you earned it, you deserve it - but until you've shown you can challenge for the title you have no right to be taking shots at anyone.

    I watched the race, it was ok, I guess. The race remains a flat track street circuit that is as interesting as the inside of an empty drawer. I am glad they tuned down the celebrity BS although they still got more coverage than they deserved. F1 was still only a side show of the weekend so no, this GP will never rank as anything particular as a race weekend - it was no better than the Miami race. Certainly has nothing on the Austin / COTA race. I personally think F1 could have more wisely spent the money on a dedicated track in the Las Vegas area served by an adequate and cost effective rail service - for both teams and spectators - to respond to the sustainability goals.

      Compared to other street circuits it’s definitely one of the best imo. A lot more over takes than others and the back drop of the Vegas strip is rather unique. Now I agree with the celebrity and side show stuff they do is a clown show but the track and race itself is really solid. If they had built a purpose built track near Vegas there’d be no reason for them to even have it in Vegas. If you want elevation changes F1 should go to Barber Motorsports Park, that place is a roller coaster.
