I honestly enjoyed Doc as an announcer - I officially have lost any faith I had for Milwaukee this season, if they managed to win regardless of the bad omen that is Doc Rivers - that would be an anomaly
He was better at announcing than coaching. People just complained about his raspy voice, which doesn't bother me. How he coaches in the post season bothers me though, if he were head coach of my team.
Doc rivers is the equivalent to that friend that was super successful early on in life. Became a sort of prodigy. and has just been coasting on his early success since.
"We are going nowhere all night long. Alright? We just going to keep playing. That's all we're going to do, we're just going to keep playing. And at the end that'll make us the winner". Doc on an open mic in Philly. This guy is going to drive Giannis bananas.
Maybe not the bucks, but I think it would be cool if the NBA started to explore hiring coaches from Europe. If the players are good the coaches are too. This is particularly evident in our losses in FIBA recently and I think that even tho there are differences in the game, the right European coach could thrive and bring a new perspective to playing in the NBA.
Euro coaches want more control over their players than the players are willing to give them. Those coaches aren't used to the level of athlete in the nba either so when the coaches tryi to teach them less athletic, more team based style basketball. It doesn't sit right doesn't sit right with a lot of players . There is a Popovich style coach other there somewhere who could make it work, but it's a needle in a haystack.
There is no one else who has benefited more from a chip 16 years ago when he had 3 HOFers plus Rondo. He still getting jobs and hype from that one thing
I do not like doc rivers but given everything that has happened between stotts and griffin, the dame rotation issues, his awful defensive scheme that did not fit the personnel, and the fact that the adjustments to fix these issues came from the PLAYERS and not the coach leads me to believe that he will fall apart against the Sixers or Celtics. I don’t know that doc fixes any of this but it’s something. Keeping Griffen feels like a punt. It’s so weird to be complaining about this given the record (sorry piston fans) but 33-11 has never looked so fraudulent. We literally had Nurse but we took his assistant .
First, nothing to worry about your haircut, I like that. Second, Doc was moving in the shadows for his return since when the Bucks fired Stotts. I think he gets too much credit among NBA ranks and too much disrespect outside, but at the moment probably he was the best available option for the Bucks.
I was convinced the Bucks were going to sign Nick Nurse as Head Coach and I was super scared of the potencial he could've unlocked on Giannis. I love this version of the Sixers tho so I'm not that sad it didn't happen, just surprised it didn't happen
Coaches fall into different categories those that you bring in to whip a bad team into shape or those that you bring in to fine tune an already good team. Coaches like Doc and Kidd garner enough respect from younger players that a bad team can become decent but aren't good enough coaches to make good teams great.
This guy looks better every time I see him. A lot of that is probably just losing whatever was left of his teenage awkwardness but still. It’s good to see he’s clearly taking care of himself. It’s a good haircut
Welcome to the 3-1 Series Blew Lead ! Where we can check the memorable moments , that your bald coach Doc Rivers has the best 3-1 Series ! So buckle up and let us watch every series.
I can understand why they fired Griffin. Despite the record, there was a very clear divide between him and the players mostly on how their defense was run, and also there were issues before the season even started, like with Terry Stotts sudden departure. I don't however agree with them hiring Doc. Doc's a great regular season HC, just look at what he did with the Clippers in 2018 with his best players being Lou Will and Danillo Gallinari, but we KNOW come postseason time, he cannot make adjustments mid-series.
Your haircut is the first thing I noticed. I intended to pay you a compliment on your upkeep and good looks. But since you pointed it out...I will not!😁
They also had All-NBA Defensive Player with Jrue Holiday in the backcourt vs Lillard. Sooo, maybe that contributed to the defensive fall off. As a Lakers fan, I'd be more than happy to trade Darvin Ham for Griffin.
I wasn’t surprised honestly, you have Dame and Giannis and you get a rookie coach? Plus the Terry Stotts incident. The surprise was how quick it was, thought he’d get a season not half of one.

Naw man. Hair looks clean AF! I liked your channel before but ever since you stopped smoking and slowed down a bit, your content has been fire. Here and the other channel. Keep up the great work brother. 🔥💯🫡
I honestly enjoyed Doc as an announcer - I officially have lost any faith I had for Milwaukee this season, if they managed to win regardless of the bad omen that is Doc Rivers - that would be an anomaly
I actually liked him as an announcer too... the hate he got for announcing was Soo forced ...in my opinion buh whatever
He was better at announcing than coaching. People just complained about his raspy voice, which doesn't bother me. How he coaches in the post season bothers me though, if he were head coach of my team.
With his burnt charcoal ass voice. No thanks.
Doris and doc. I'll listen to the game on mute.
@@Anonymous-ld7jeIn particular when he said “what a block” when Tayshawn Prince blocked Reggie Miller out of nowhere
Doc rivers is the equivalent to that friend that was super successful early on in life. Became a sort of prodigy. and has just been coasting on his early success since.
I think Garnett said he is great at managing players, but horrible when it comes to Xs and Os
as a bucks fan i’m just happy adrian griffin is gone
and happy to see the front office have a sense of urgency
Dont forget that Doc Rivers somehow made the 75th anniversary/ top 15 coach in NBA history team! Like how the f***?
top 15 coach? He's not even top 10 in today's game (among currently employed coaches).
@@Paulafan5He was on that list and Rudy Tomjanovich wasn’t, and neither was Alex Hannum (both have multiple titles).
"We are going nowhere all night long. Alright? We just going to keep playing. That's all we're going to do, we're just going to keep playing. And at the end that'll make us the winner". Doc on an open mic in Philly. This guy is going to drive Giannis bananas.
Maybe they know it's going to fall apart in the playoffs so they brought him as scapegoat not really but it's funny to think
A random mowtown noah appearance was not expected lol
Damn. Nurse coaching the Bucks is a scary thought. (Most likely) it would have been GGWP for the rest of the league.
don’t worry rusty you’re hair cut looks really good ❤️
He's the Mike Tomlin of the NBA. The similarities are actually pretty insane
insanely good comp
As a Bucks fan, I officially miss Jason Kidd
Just when i thought Doc couldnt draw anymore blood from that one ring. Well here we are
the haircut looks great i think it’s an improvement
I don't know what your hair looked like before, this is my first encounter with you but I'ma say your hair looks just fine, nothing to complain about😊
Coaches fall into different categories those that you bring in to whip a bad team into shape or those that you bring in to fine tune an already good team. Coaches like Doc and Kidd garner enough respect from younger players that a bad team can become decent but aren't good enough coaches to make good teams great.
Bro is looking like the drippy pastor with that cut 🔥
Good stuff. I like your long form stuff, but seems like UA-cam doesn’t. Bummer.
Hey as a heat fan I could be happier, thank you Bucks!
This guy looks better every time I see him. A lot of that is probably just losing whatever was left of his teenage awkwardness but still. It’s good to see he’s clearly taking care of himself. It’s a good haircut
The NBA has turned into a complete circus due to players having too much say in team management and coaching decisions
Your video on defense was legit. A really good listen while I put in grades.
Grading, sounds tedious
Haircut looks good bro!
One description I saw for doc rivers (I can't remember where I saw it) is that he can raise the floor of any team, but he also lowers the ceiling
Welcome to the 3-1 Series Blew Lead !
Where we can check the memorable moments , that your bald coach Doc Rivers has the best 3-1 Series !
So buckle up and let us watch every series.
Great job Alex!
hiring Doc Rivers would guarantee u a playoff spot
and also guaranteed to blow leads in games 😂
He and D'Antoni are in the "why/how" category
But since you pointed it out...I will not!😁
The haircut is fire dawg 🔥 also great video
Holy shit rusty liked let’s go
Doc also coached a lot of chockers. So it's not all on him. Giannis and Dame will not let that BS happened. Especially Giannis.
They also had All-NBA Defensive Player with Jrue Holiday in the backcourt vs Lillard. Sooo, maybe that contributed to the defensive fall off. As a Lakers fan, I'd be more than happy to trade Darvin Ham for Griffin.
Nah man your haircut is fresh, looking good, bro.
Geeat video as well, as always.
I agree with the your take on the Grif firing. Also your hair looks good.
im digging the hairstyle man keep up the good content
The Alex bit was great 😂
Great title because I need the answer to this question
Why ppl gotta hate on your hair
Literally didn’t even notice bc I was listening to the content, which was 🔥 btw
Dude your face has been looking more clear recently! Also the Jim Riley cut has been your freshest style yet, better than your buzz cut days
This year is wild
I wasn’t surprised honestly, you have Dame and Giannis and you get a rookie coach? Plus the Terry Stotts incident. The surprise was how quick it was, thought he’d get a season not half of one.
Okay but the nick cameo was great
As a Bucks fan, this really hurts
The haircut is fire! My RDR2 Arthur always walked around like this. 😂❤
If he lost the locker room wait until they get Doc lol
Doc Rivers my idol man, i wanna be just like him in my career. Took credit for something that he has very little to do. Then keep fking up, but still considered very good n keeps getting jobs
Nick is a gem
Mark, you're on a commenting streak! Thanks for the support. -Rudy
The end with motown made me spit out my stew. Well done.
Haircut looks good, you just need to get the front lined up straight.. It'll look a lot cleaner that way and all "come together" I'm rocking a real similar cut
If this were 1970 Rusty Buckets would be asking "Why would any football team EVER hire Tom Landry? Sure he's got a great overall record, but look at how many times he's failed in the playoffs!! He's had TEN YEARS!!" OBTW, Tom Landry is now considered one of the greatest football coaches of all time.
Ridiculous appointment. Doc is a master at failure when it comes to the crunch
Bucks should’ve brought Darvin Ham home 🔥🔥
lol loved Rusty’s line about blowing a 3-1 lead
He can raise a floor , he pulls down roofs
Teams do a lot of stupid things when they listen to their star players
Because he keeps going above 500 and at the very least making the playoffs with every single team he coaches, whether we as fans like it or not people value Doc’s crazy consistency at bringing teams to “the base of the mountain” even if he sucks at making it to the peak
Doc got a safe full of compromising photos of various league bigwigs.
It's crazy that doc rivers has been riding one championship for 16 years now
Lot of coaches get recycled, the guy in phoenix, the guy in Indy, Chicago coach, New York coach, Atlanta coach only one of those coaches has won a Championship. They keep getting hired what's wrong with Doc getting rehired?
its called an bad hiring process, check doc last 2 hirings. Purely based on '' oh there is nobody better available '' well what about the assistant coach, looked at the bucks interm coach and atleast that man cares but he'll never EVER get an opportunity to head coach even when considering he was part off 3 different title runs SMH
Doc would be one of the coaching goats .......if they only needed to win 3 in a playoff series...
