- In excerpts from a recent TVR interview, Virginia Zeani is shown singing Puccini arias in rare Romanian film footage.
in 1970 she sings Mimi's first aria and the aria of Musetta on location amongst the seating of a theatre and on the steps of a garden; both are mimed to pre-recorded tracks.
Ten years later, Zeani is shown in excerpts from a live stage performance of Tosca in Bucharest in 1980, just before she moved to the USA to teach in the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington.

I saw Virginia Zeani many times in Bucarest in the 60ies. She is responsible for the great love I developed for the opera and for the most beautiful memories I have from this period of my life.

Chiar și Ileana Cotrubas, Angela Gheorghiu... opera din România a dat valoare acestui gen de liric muzical. Sublim! BBC, în 1994 și-a întrerupt programul special obișnuit pentru BreakingNews la vremea respectivă pt a transmite live Traviata în rol principal Angela Gheorghiu. După acest eveniment, Angela a avut cronici bune care au propulsat-o direct în varful ierarhiei mondiale a muzicii clasice.
