That was a shameful performance. The team didnt look like it could be bothered tonight, it was the same at Birmingham a couple of weeks ago. 26 Points dropped from winning positions this season, the worst in the Championship. A player getting wasted and crashing his car a few days before a playoff game being allowed to keep his place in the team. This team has a mentality problem, a discipline problem and weak leadership.
Didn't it occur to you that the reason why Norwich players were demotivated vs Leeds was because club management had already informed them that Wagner was going to be sacked? How well would YOU play if you knew the entire team, its strategy, tactics, planning, recruitment, and everything else was about to be thrown into complete disarray yet again?
@@TheGlynja So how do you explain us having the 19th best away record in the Championship then? Or that we were the worst in the whole league for points lost from winning positions?
Also what evidence do you have to support this claim that the players already knew he was getting the sack?

@@TheGlynja We're club with finances enhanced by parachute payments, playoffs are the absolute bare minimum that we should achieve. Did you watch some of the absolutely awful football we've played this season?

What we have to come to terms with is that this is our level , some years we will make the playoffs and other years we won’t. It’s all about money from now on , be prepared for a lot of sales in the summer, we can’t keep paying Gibbson 50k a week in the championship COYY 💛💚

Made the playoffs with a squad of free transfers and previously under performing players, no money to spend on players pre season or in January yet we sold a bunch of players, something like 30m worth, Wagner was not allowed to recruit. Amazing achievement to turn this season around and finish where we did. Wagner out? Who could we possibly get in to replace him? We cannot afford a top manager and any manager coming in will have no money to rebuild. I'm pretty sure Wagner will go, but to a better job.

Norwich Fans will know better than I do, but seems rather unfair to me.
From what I have seen of Norwich this Season, I would say the Squad is just not good enough and that is down to the Owners.

The calls for David Wagner to resign were just plain ridiculous.
There's no point in getting promoted just so you can be thrashed out of sight every single week by teams with better players and more money. What happened to Burnley and Sheffield in the premier league this season is a clear indicator of the consolidation of power of big PL teams. Economics 101: every market ends in monopoly. Anyone who fails to acknowledge this is just deluding themself.
We could have had a full season for Wagner to consolidate and strengthen his team with the smart signings he's made and talent cultivated via the academy and other sources. Any true Norwich fan would have supported Wagner, the players, and the entire backroom staff to make a decent stab at the 2024-5 season. Only Ipswich fans and the short-sighted demand a team sacks the manager less than two years into the job.
But, thanks to imbeciles seeking short-term satisfaction over long-term dominance, Norwich City FC now has to go right back to the drawing board AGAIN and learn a whole different method of football with another manager who might be worse than Wagner!!!! Idiocy!!! The players, after slogging their guts out all season (except for the one final match, perhaps) now go into the summer break in complete uncertainty, not knowing who, or even if, they'll have a new manager by the time next season begins.
Great job guys, Ipswich FC will no doubt be elated that Norwich FC and it's ironically-named "fans" and "management" have shot themselves in the foot yet again.

Why? He had none of the injury issues we had, an excellent January transfer window, and still finished below us.
No sainz starting playing to draw the game as he had done with Huddersfield.
Yep, he wanted a bore draw again, then hope to win on penalties. No ambition so he got what he deserved. Boring manager.
Players fault ! Not the manager . He done well to get us to 6th with the players he has .
The problem goes a lot deeper than the manager .
No excuses, it's both. Sargent, Sara, Rowe and Gunn get into any team in this league. Wagner should have done much more with such exciting players I'm afraid

All those saying Wagner out needs to think about the season overall not just one game. Leeds outplayed us tonight but for Wagner to get us to this position with the side we have is impressive
If he stays I can see a pretty similar season next year, rather him out, not a fan of his style of football, countless games have been similar to this where we just create absolutely nothing
