I love how everyone hates on this. Mike V has never caught a break in his entire career. The public has always hated on what he did from far off. I was more impressed by mike’s vocals than the guitar solos lol
That’s Mike V bitch, granted he SHOULD NOT be a part of this weird black flag knock off (even tho it’s Ginn) but he was a pro skater waaaay before your dad fucked your mom and was and STILL is a legend for fighting with cops and security pigs who tried stopping him from skating
I remember the song by Mock "Where were you in '82?" We always laughed and said "Wondering who all you freshcuts were." Mock was incredible and I can never find the recordings anywhere now. Jerry Murphy, Aptos ripper was the singer. But SC was the world capital of big old, "Old School" poser guys in the 90's and on, who only showed up in 84 or 86. We laughed cause we had all been in the punk scene since 77 or whatever. Made for some real pits, though. They were big enough you could stage dive off the upper tier at the Cat and you'd just bounce off. (where this is recorded from). At Bad Religion there I did the big swan dive from the balcony and Robert Negron (who ~was~ there with us in the late 70's) had to go harder and did a backflip. We just bounced off these giant guys' heads in the pit and didn't even phase 'em. lol. They are good for something I guess. Singer Greg yelled for someone to get me a shirt when I did mine. "No Stage Diving" shirt lol.
Not sure what comment you are replying to, but QOTSA's track Song For The Dead opens with an homage to Slip It In. The guitars are doing the bass groove(or something very similar) and Grohl plays literally the exact same fills from the intro to Slip. I think they've actually admitted it in interviews before too
@@azvid13 Seen them play.. Mike V is awesome. If ya can just go to the show without the attitude attached, its an awesome time. If your stuck in the 80's or an elitist than you'll think it sucks. Kind of simple actually to be honest.

I think he did awesome
He's the most low energy vocalist this band has ever had on board and he's biting Rollins moves but never living up to them. It's like cosplay
Mike v's a poser pos. Couldn't touch Ron's contributions to this band or punk history in his dreams
I think Mike V is doing a killer job!!
Mike V is awesome part of my childhood. One of the 1st skate boards I owned was a Mike V Element Deck. Good times!
OMG that geriatric mosh pit tho 😝 (full disclosure: I learned that I was too old to slam dance at a Black Flag show in the early 2000s) 3:07
I get that punk vocalists aren’t always the best singers, but this guy is taking advantage of the situation.

Plus!!! You listen to EMO SCREAMO BULLSHIT lol so your opinion about ANY punk be it bad or not is OUT da window kid hahaha
This is hard to watch
Dam mike v killed it!

No shirts allowed guys. No shirts.
Cant wait for Laconia NH
Why doesn't Greg Ginn just start other bands? this is not Black Flag
Bands change, this is what he wants to do obviously. Don’t like it? It’s a good thing you have the other records.
@@graxjpg yeah cause it sucks man
Its awesome
@@donkeywhistler the guitar playing sucked. I could do better.
Because he’s trying to draw money by using the name. This isn’t black flag it’s a joke band run by a money hungry asshole
He’s not trying to sound like QOTSA at the start, what do you mean?

@@gobblegobble831 no fucking way didn’t know that

Can barely reconigze the song…
That dude so old still cant play guitar
I'm really confused... is this a joke? Who is this jock signing with Greg?
Pro skater Mike Vallely. It's not a joke.
Don’t be confused, this is a joke. Mike V. looks so uncomfortable. Hard to watch.

The singing was WAY better than the guitar solos.

Drummer is sick!!
Fkn rips!!!!
