I had such high hopes for this era... I mean Born This Way was a GIANT success but not as big as The Fame + Monster era.. The singles were not THAT big of a deal compared to "Poker Face" & "Bad Romance".. So when this teaser came out & the music video for "applause" came out I was like "yes yes this is the Lady Gaga we know"..
It's been almost 8 months since "Applause" and we -still- have not gotten a second video from this era. The time span between "Born This Way" & "Judas" was like 2 months.. I'm starting to think there's not much left in this era because she's starting the tour soon.. It really is a shame because the music in Artpop is so much better on many levels then on Born This Way..
I mean we don't care that "Do What U want" video is delayed but just give us SOMETHING, we pretty much are in the dark since the album dropped in November.

Nope. Her career had too many iconic songs, performances, and music videos. She was already an icon before she made this video. She is basically mocking her haters for being too late. No matter what they say, she has already influenced music, fashion, dance, film, or just pop culture in general like we've never seen so since Madonna, Janet and Cher in which she already knew and even the entertainment industry knows this. Don't worry before she's dead and gone, she will get a Tony and Oscar. Her talent and vision speaks for itself, Its pretty much a undeniable and a once in a lifetime kind of talent. she can dance, sing, write, and act really well. Don't get me started on musicianship, she can play instruments and compose/produce as well. She's just adding on to her already iconic career and rubbing it in her haters face. How is it a "flop"? If something didn't do as good as it has previously it doesn't mean it flopped, it just means it wasn't AS successful. Gaga's career has been extremely successful.
I also hear people talking about Katy Perry. Well, the reason Katy did so well is because she makes manufactured songs that people more commonly listen to. Gaga was experimenting. Its what she does as an artist. She was never looking to be the most popular artist in the game. She just does what she wants to do, and if you don't like it, change the fucking channel.

Looking back, Artpop has proven one thing about the industry, Money and sales over quality and impact. It’s sad how people are so focused on numbers and how many albums you sell versus what actually is on the album. I understand, you need to sell in order to “stay relevant” but it shouldn’t be just that; and yes, there were broken promises during Artpop, but honestly, I really enjoyed the era for what it was and I’m glad I got to experience it. A lot of people slept on Gaga and missed out on such a great era. Seeing how much she has grown all the way to “A Star is Born” is really inspiring and motivating. Should there be an “Artpop: Act II”? I don’t know, that’s up to Gaga, but again, I’m glad I got to experience Artpop, and till this day, it remains as my favorite album by Gaga.
