    I have that seatpost on my road logic. It is very rare that I notice the travel in a way that’s problematic. That being said I have hit bumps at 45-50 kph and been catapulted out of the saddle on a few occasions. But this seatpost solved all the lower back issues I tended to have when riding long hours. Highly recommended overall.

    George, I got a canyon in 2016 with an ergon. As you know, when you built up the Haley for me, I moved it from canyon. It is a great seatpost

    George the way you support ritchey is just great. The only fact that i don’t like about mine is that the stock is way too low, not everyone is a racer haha

      @@federext indeed not everyone is a racer! Tom Ritchey designs his bikes with a race-inspired geometry. However, a 55cm frame has a 160mm headtube or 568mm stack. That’s pretty darn tall!

      @@SeeYouUpTheRoad thanks for the reply! But I guess this is in the new frames, I got a BAB cross in size 54 and stack is around 550

      Someone just commented on my Tommasini X-Fire. I rewatched the video. I mentioned it had a 150mm headtube. 54’s usually have 140 headtubes in Race geometry. Although, whenI was sponsored by Felt I had a Felt F1 that was a 54cm with a 120mm headtube. I raced ultras with that bike for a couple of years.
      Now I hope you can understand why 160mm headtube on a Ritchey feels so good to me. 😊

    Hey George,
    I had a very similar seatpost on an older Canyon Inflite. I think it´s fairly easy in terms of saddle mounting, but in general I dislike not being able to adjust the saddle angle. Also, I found that a lot of dirt would catch in between the 2 halves which, especially if the seatpost get some use without constant cleaning, will slowly move down and then you´ll have a very hard time getting it clean. (Carbon paste also gets in between the 2 sections, making the dirt problem even bigger)
    Not sure if I´d say that I could feel a difference in comfort compared to a regular (carbon) seatpost.
    Idk, wasn´t fully into the design after a while. BUT, I think it looks pretty sleek because the head / saddle mount is very subtle compared to other models.
    Personally went with an Easton EC90 SL on my bike, kinda gives you both the sleek design and retains angle adjustment + it´s pretty lightweight.

      I am experiencing the annoyance of not being able to adjust saddle tilt without having to take the seatpost entirely out of the bike and then having to torque the seatpost again at 7nm. It’s even more annoying because a Break-Away is held together by the seatpost 😮
      FYI- carbon assembly paste is what you’re supposed to put between the 2 carbon leafs. I wonder if that will become a problem later.
      I usually ride the Ritchey Superlogic flex posts whenever I can use a round seatpost.

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  2 місяці тому

      Very good tip! To be clear do you mean to wait until you can ride the bike and you can put all your weight on the saddle before setting up the saddle angle?

    • @skinnie88
      @skinnie88 2 місяці тому

      @@SeeYouUpTheRoad Hello George, it was my bikefitter that set it for me. We started with a negative angle on the saddle, and then, with me on the bike he confirmed that the saddle stayed horizontal (selle italia slr). Since then, perfect.
      I profit to ask if you already tried the Ritchey Alpine JB 30mm tyres. They seem a good match for road logic that gets some bad roads from time to time.
