- What happened to the Trade Federation under the Galactic Empire? Once a dominant force in trade across star systems and major hyperlanes, the Trade Federation’s control came to an abrupt halt with the rise of Palpatine’s Galactic Empire. In the aftermath, Acting Viceroy Sentepeth Findos valiantly resisted the Empire’s grip. However, mere days after the end of the Clone Wars he was compelled by Stormtroopers to sign a peace treaty with the Empire.
This relinquished all of the Federation’s vast resources into Imperial control, and they were placed under the Imperial Senate’s oversight, where they functioned in a reduced capacity until the Emperor dissolved the Senate nearly two decades later. Because of this, many ex-Trade Federation members joined the Rebel Alliance to put an end to the Empire’s oppressive rule.
They had served their purpose.
Just like how our government treats our troops 😢
Yes
The trade fefederation got saltie they they were the ones being bullied and taken advantage of then losing all control and resources instead of them doing all I mentioned to other people...they didn't like being on the receiving end of been treated like a cockwaffle 😂😂😂
A lot of former CIS planets and people joined the rebel alliance. Honestly the CIS had a good idea to split the galaxy in two. Even the great Roman Empire grew to big and it had to be separated
Very ironic
So after the fall of the empire did some of the former separatist try to re-ignite the trade federation?
When yoi think about it, the galactic empire wasnt as bad as its presented, it did enda lot of the corruption that strangled the galaxy
It mad a for a white sheet
Bro forgot the part where the leaders got murked at mustafar by anakin
That was just gunray and the other separatists, the entire trade federation still had republic sympathies
@gdrobloxianemperor1737 no that was a political mask but even so they still served their purpose
@@stelven9885 the trade federation was officially neutral in the clone war. However it supported the confederacy but most of the population and the other leaders aside finest were pro-republic
@@gdrobloxianemperor1737 Yeah they said that and acted like that in front of republic officials so they wouldnt get sanctioned by them like the banking clan however they were pro CIS and it shows for instance when they helped in the kidnapping of the senators daughters along with also helping defend the reasoning for keeping supplies away from Ryloth and threatening to cut trade if they didnt oblige
@@stelven9885 those were government officials loyal to gunray.
"He was compelled by stormtroopers to sign a peace treaty with the empire."
Oh how the tables have turned...
The Bad guys who joined the good guys basically.
The other way around, empire was right
they have gecko eyes... worst sight in the animal kingdom...
Explains how they didn’t see this coming after being a leading separatist member BOOM
Did the rebellion ever use reprogramed battle droids? I've searched, but everything contradics each other, some sorses say they stole a few from the Empire, some say they stole an entire lucahulk, while some say they never had any. (Apart from Mr Bones and Roger.)
They were just bitter their power was usurped so they went crying to the Rebels.
Mere days after the clone wars ended would have still been clone troopers. Storm troopers came later
They were called Stormtroopers as well, by some, in-universe. The first Stormtroopers were actual clones, but they were replaced very quickly by human-born recruits.
Stormtroopers??
In both canons, the New Order called them Stormtroopers instead of Clone Troopers.
I would love to see more Star Wars shows cover how certain Rebel members would absolutely hate one another. Rebels and Andor have covered this a bit with Saw Guerrera, but it would be great to see someone from Naboo meet a Neimoidian while both were serving in the rebel alliance and the Naboo just absolutely hate having to fight with them, or be worried that they'll try and restart their grand corporation after the Empire falls.
Ironic because the trade federation itself did a lot of oppressing during the clone wars and before. So I doubt they turned on the Empire because they were oppressive.
They got new ceo's after summery liquidation of the republic to the empire.
And moved on.😂
The way I see it, the Trade Federation, albeit unwittingly, was a significant part of Palpatine’s rise to power and the creation of the Galactic Empire. They were even aware of Darth Sidious’ existence and had contact with him. Whatever happened to them after the end of the Clone Wars was purely because of their own shortsightedness and stupidity.
“You will go to the Mustafar system. Wipe out Viceroy Gunray and the other separatist leaders. Do not hesitate, show no mercy..”
Darth Sidious and Vader are what happened to the trade federation lol
You didn’t hear they had another active gunroy or you can’t hear?😂
The geonosians had it the worst during the empire and the mining guild had it the best
it's something knowing that the bad guys in episode 1 are now fighting with the heroes in episodes 4-6
The empires grip
