Nelson are sons of the talented Rick Nelson. They write all their songs and always perform live. Many good videos on UA-cam of them. Third generation of having a number one hit and in the Guinness book of records. Pretty amazing.

Nelson is an American rock band founded by singer/songwriters Matthew and Gunnar Nelson (twin sons of Ricky Nelson and Kristin Nelson) Matthew and Gunnar also perform under the name of Ricky Nelson Remembered, as a tribute to their father. They are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only family to reach number one record status in three successive generations (beginning with grandparents Ozzie and Harriet Nelson).
This album was great, I traveled to L.A. to see them live, and they were amazing, all of them! "After The Rain" is another good song.
Yes, they are twins, and the Nelson men from that family all had "pretty" faces! lol Their dad, Ricky Nelson, also a musician/actor and son of the famous entertainment family of Ozzie & Harriet who also had their own family Radio and TV show "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet". That show began in 1944 and ended in 1966, spanning 14 seasons. After much success in his pop music career, Ricky Nelson died in a plane crash in 1985. He was 45 years old and his twin sons were 18. My son was a huge fan of the band. We took him to a couple of shows. The twins and all their band members were very talented. I recently came across an interview with Lindsey Parker interviewing them. It was an incredible interview! She's a music reporter and she gets the best interviews. I learned so much including a bit about the music industry from the interview. You have to realize Matthew and Gunnar grew up in the industry. Their mother's brother is Mark Harmon from the tv show NCIS. Their grandparents, dad and his brother were actors and performers. They even had Mama Cass babysit them. They were supposed to have been on the plane when it went down and killed their dad but he called them the night before and told them not to come but fly commercial so they stayed home. They are the reason that kids under age are able to perform in clubs with a parent present. They came out at the same time as the "hair" bands but they had been playing in the clubs for years so they weren't an overnight find or were made popular because of their family name. There so much more like why grunge became an overnight takeover. The interview is well worth listening! The keyboard player is Paul Mirkovich. He was the music director and keyboard player for Cher and Pink. He has been the music director and keyboard player for The Voice since it's first season. So if you have seen The Voice you have seen him. I gained a lot more respect for Gunnar and Matthew. Here's a link to the interview. One of the best I've listened to in a long time.

There's a young guitar player that is going to be one of the best ever rock/blues guitar players ever. He's 14 yrs old and already had 3 songs hit #1 on the worldwide blues charts. My favorite song he plays live is Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways. He doesn't sing on this one but hold on to your seat when you watch him play!

The whole After the Rain album is fantastic. They were so underrated and cast aside by the record company. They released a load of albums themselves. All are different and all are very good. Their uncle is Mark Harmon. They're his sister and Rick Nelson's twins. I love the acoustic guitars on it and also the solo. The boys were young here - 1990 so they were 22 or 23 at the time.
Their Father Ricky Nelson grew up on the TV Show... "The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet" with his older brother David. They were on the show and were favorites. Ricky grew up to be one on the first and biggest "Teen Idol" Stars with several hit songs and he often sang on the family TV show. He produced 25 albums between 1957 - 86. I smile because I grew up listening to their dad Ricky before they were born. These boys were very good but I'm not sure they ever reached the same level of stardom as their father did..... 25 albums says a lot about him and over 40 appearances in movies or TV shows
I'm SO excited that somebody has finally reacted to Nelson. Their ENTIRE album is fantastic. There's not a bad song on it. My personal favourite is a song called Everywhere I Go. If you type in Interlude/Everywhere I Go - it has a beautiful piano interlude at the beginning before the song.
ONE YEAR!.... It was on January 12th last year I first watched you react to Zeppelin, I was impressed so I subscribed as your number 481. You had only 38 videos. My first suggestion was done on the 14th. Chambers Brothers -"Time Has Come Today".... It "Melted Your Brain". Since then you have done a few hundred for my collection in your folder "JMBOY TV REACTIONS-My Tunes" and dozens of artist..."I'm Not Familiar With These Guys".. It has been a great time watching your progression learning about the awesome music many of your subs grew up with. I look forward to watching all the great songs in your future.... I met these two many years ago. Very sweet guys. I expected them to be somewhat stuck up growing up on television. Wasn’t the case at all.
