Anyone else just watching all the 747 videos because they are so sad the Queen is retiring :(
21:39 gotta love the first initial spool, where it actually feels like full power for a few seconds, then out of nowhere a massive whine, which signals the pilot only now has all 4 levers at full forward . EPIC!
I love that delay, half throttle and full. Have only experienced it a few times. One on a BA 777-200. Half throttle then out of nowhere full power. Could feel the force of it in the seat. Because your not prepared for it. As your brain thinks it’s already at full power
It sounds like me, when I get upset.:)
Boy when I watch a video I want to hear those engines, just like this! excellent!
Thanks for watching!
The Sound of British Airways 747 at 21:55 is Absolutely Super! Especially those RRB211 Engines! I Miss the 747! Long Live the Queen of the Skies!
The Airbus A380 is a impressive human achievement in it's own right and amazing in it's size. However, I have to say,my heart is firmly with the Boeing 747, as she was the first leap of airplane design, that opened up the world to mass travel to millions, who normally would never had been able to afford long haul transit. Iconic, majestic and instantly recognisable, and I for one, who first travelled on this type in 1974, will always consider it the "Queen of the skies" . Awesome video....
TIMELESS CLASSIC OF THE QUEEN OF THE SKIES. UNFORGETTABLE AND WILL ALWAYS BE. TO FLY TO SERVE THE WORLD'S FAVOURITE AIRLINE
Hey guys I am thinking of re-uploading a full HD (1080p) version of this video due to so much positive feedback from you guys. Thumbs up if you would like to see this and thumbs down if the current 480p version is fine :D
John H will do that
I have uploaded a HD and shortened version of this video on my channel. Check it out and do subscribe while your'e there
the video is perfect! but if you improve that thank you again, take care
Just do it!!!
GOLDBAND45rpm I did long ago, it's on my channel.
The sound of those RB211s are amazing...raw power...
+Neel Ghai Like classic Trent 700
Rolls royce are overrated engines, pratt and whitneys are Reliable powerfull engines , and it make great sound , Listen it and compare.
yh shame these are retired
Nice view over those fabulous RR engine. Like the humming of those engines.
I love the sound of those Rolls Royce RB211-524G/H's. Great video!!!
I was told that the RB 211535 is consume a lot of oil during flight
Still cannot belive this didn't reach 1M views
BEAUTIFUL SOUND!!!!!!! She is truly the best Plane Built!
Flight.... One of the most beautiful things. Ever.
Just I wanted to say hello and tell you that you have such a beautiful day like you =)
darkcroosxr2 thank you very much. That's very sweet of you. I hope you have a lovely day too :-)
Thank you very much, I write in comments that were not properly use the G+ hahaha. My email is: ricardolara14981@gmail.com hope to be in contact with you. Have a nice day =D
One of these things cured my fear of flying. Incredibly smooth experience. A masterpiece of engineering.
The whine from those Rolls Royce engines are absolutely EPIC........superb video.Watching those engines power the big Boeing is always a sight to behold.
I never get tired of watching these videos. The producer of these videos has a valid point. I love flying, but because of my job commitments, I hardly ever get to fly. These videos are a great way in sharing an experience of someone's exciting departure to wherever they may be going.Plus the bonus of seeing these magnificent aircraft in all their powerful action.
Flew on this from JFK to Heathrow and back. No doubt the biggest plane I've ever been on. Great flight, great service!
that takeoff was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in any aircraft video I have EVER watched… :''')
God knows! Air travel is awesome and exhilarating, no matter how many times you've taken off and landed. Flying is the best way to travel!
How beautiful to be in the clouds.
In 1999, I was on a Lufthansa 747-400 AMS/DFW.
It, along with a KLM flight a year earlier FRA/IAH, were the two finest flights I have ever taken. Bar none. And I have traveled extensively.
The KLM stopped in ATL and almost all pax disembarked. Change of crew as well.
Between ATL and DFW, I was the only person in First Class. There were two pax in Business, and a smattering in Coach.
The plane probably had very little fuel aboard.
The pilot put the pedal to the metal, and that plane rolled about ten feet then shot into the air like a fighter. The acceleration was phenomenal! It felt like we were going 500mph before the end of the runway. Exhilarating!
A brilliant video. The Rolls Royce spool up... The best! Love BA 747s
I see this flight every day... But the 777-200 BAW238 I set my watch to-those rolls Royce Trent's I can hear and tell the second I hear them!! Gorgeous sound
Thank you! I appreciate your feed back and I hope to deliver videos like these in the very near future :)
Thanks for watching! :)
Gotta love the RB-211's. Sound similar to the ones fitted on the 757 with that characteristic whine before it hits full power :p
really i love the growl sound of an rb211, especially on takeoff
I always love the taxiing as you get to see a variety of airlines and aircraft types as well as a layout of the airfield great video thanks !
Love the sound of the trents spooling up!
The Taxi to runway reminds me of my trip in Singapore airport. Which took me around 25 minutes for take off
I like that point where the lift of the wings take over...a combination of forward speed and vertical lift....totally amazing!
wow!!! what a long climb! checkout that deep blue sky! i once flew from SEATAC to Newark non-stop. we topped at 43000 feet. the sky was incredibly dark. nice video!
Even though I know how an airplane flys, its still almost magical watching these machines leave the ground!!
Such a powerful beast. Love the 747.
Got to love the 747's unlike the ugly 380!
Thedarkness of Knight
Haha init #uglyA380
@@ShoaibKhan-bz5qm the a380 is good :(
#uglyA380 The 747 will forever be the queen of the skies.
SPCsevierville2501 haha. Not now lol.
RIP THE QUEEN IF THE SKIES
Joe Sutters beautiful creation the 747.
RB211's dancing together. Perfect.
Great video always love take off & landing fantastic
WOW THE ICONIC BUILDINGS INCLUDING THE RETRO CONTROL TOWERS A TREASURED VIDEO THIS IS.
Those RR are gorgeous.
Wicked awesome. 747's are still the beastliest of the air.
I love when the engines are on full thrust 😊
Those engines have an awesome sound.
love the rolls royce engine sound :) . ty for these videos
got to love BA, with all their 747s. Virtually all the US carriers have ditched theirs because they can't afford to fly them because they can't fill them.
You can tell that this BA flight wasnt full though.. took off quick.
***** This flight was completely full :)
Zuhair Farouk Fail on my part
***** No worries :)
***** Probably took off quick because its probably only half full of fuel. Boston is only 6 hours.
4 x RB211'524's - still one of the sweetest sounds ever.....
Can you imagine the amount of air that thing is inhaling inside that engine during takeoff I bet it is incredible
listen to the sound of these Rolls Royce RB211-524B engines during spool up, amazing !
BadenCityFire Love it!!!!
They are so much better than the cf6 on, in fact both the 747 and 767
BadenCityFire It is unmistakable
One of the quickest take offs I've seen a 747 perform.
+alan jackson Even though the flight was completely full
love the sound of those engines
AHHHH .
Rolls Royce RB211-524H
i love that sound
I simply love the spool up of 21:50. It is indeed a shame to see the 747 coming to and end.
Turbines at full chat, nothing like it ❤️
El nuevo 747-8 es una maravilla.
I think sometimes the flight crew 'get the nod' to take-off, even before they have reached the runway start point ie they don't stop at all and just keep on rolling, puting on the gas to full power - I have been on quite a few BA 747-400 take-offs like this and it is quite an amazing experience!
Super video thanks for posting!
Those engines are... Amazing
Absolutely Brilliant. Can't say more.
Our lovely RB211 524G I make the fan blades for these
+Graham Couch
Thumbs up to machinists everywhere~!!!

That sounds like a real Aeroplane. Like a beast from the Jungle yeah
BEST-SOUND-EVER!!!
I love the sound of the aircraft engines :)
That makes me think about my last vacation.
I love these kind of videos. It gives me the real feel & the seat in the plane whilst i`m sitting in my living room. :D
WOOOOOOW!!! That sound of those kickass Rolls Royce engines! NICE! And I like the livery colours, silvery with that deep blue. Ohhh, what a wonderfull seat you had *jealous* A +1 for you, mate!
2.52 whose RB’s kick right it is a sound to behold. Thanks china for taking the 747 away from us
2 rolls royce wing-mounted turbine engines...sweet! :D
***** Oh, YES! Rolls-Royce engines give off the sweetest sound during take-off!
I LOVE THIS RB211 SOUND!!!
Awesome...makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when those RB211-52 4B engines whine..great video..
got to love that distinctive roar of those RR trent engines at take off
Or the slightly more distinctive roar of the RB211's ;)
These ones were what some of the Trents are based off of, but see are RB211s.
I keep trying to think of a feat of engineering as incredible as a wing. I'm stumped!
Great video - like the way the wing flexes upwards as the aircraft accelerates :-D
Wow ! Awesome sounds!
747 is the Best
Awesome video, Superb sound!
Zuhair Farouk as an avid aviation enthusiast with a love for all things BA. I have truly enjoyed your video. Excellent quality and great sound. Thank you for sharing this sir!. :-)
What a rush!! Love it. Top video, mate.
Thank you! :)
Queen of the skies
What a great video :-)
Great great great. Thanks
I really like the engines.

Busy day! 20' to take off. nice movie.

Nice video! Well done for holding the camera up to the window for half an hour, not sure I could have been bothered!!
good video ,...love the noise,..........
Not only wing flex is amazing to watch. This video is great!Thank you! :)
great video, thanks.
Yea wing flex is amazing to watch. Thanks for watching :)
Absolutely ,best in delays, strikes, industrial disputes .
RR sounds and looks great )
25:25 I've only flown 4 times, and every time that scared the crap out of me. Serious WTF moment for me first time I experienced that.
Yeah that would be a discouraging sound.
+vendediesel Engine power change for noise abatement purposes. You aren't climbing as steeply so often less power required and less noise generated. All perfectly safe - but I take your point for those who are either first time or nervous flyers.
+Flyfactors noise abatement???? At that altitude? I don't think so
+Kevin Pippin You would be surprized at the altitude some noise abatement procedures are carried out at. I was - admittedly thinking that they were only carried out below 5,000 feet and within 10 miles of airports until I discovered otherwise. In Europe environmentalism GOVERNS everything!
Interesting information, I believe they do put the throttle to cruise power mainly to not overspeed which can cause the airframes to stress
lovely ..
Very nice, I love the chrome inlets
Great job.
Awesome sound
***** There is a reasuring buzz to the sound of all of the Rolls Royce engines.
@ 25:38, throttle down....and back up again. Really like hearing the engine rotations beating against each other. That sound helps me settle into a long flight, and I likely fall asleep - while the cabin crew gets busy and ready to serve beverages.
daniel spaniel Definitely!
Flew on that exact plane every year just around 1 month prior june 18-24 cause school ended.
I love Boeing 747
Lovely I make fan blades for these
Are they still built in Derby?
amazing slats !!
Nice clip...
