The twins were well-known as gospel-singers, even then, but didn't anybody predict that they were going to grow up to be internationally famous! I used to live at 4559 Page from 1942-1950, across the street from Pleasant Green. Where Pleasant Green's parking lot is was where the St. Louis Ice Cream Company building was, in those days, and there was no stoplight there. We used to have streetcars on Page, on Taylor, and on Easton (Martin Luther King). And sycamore trees were *everywhere*! Things are fair different, nowadays.
