Pretty darn amazing. Can’t imagine the stress on the engine let alone a man having to use both sides of his brain to make it happen! Great stuff.
thanks heeder
heeder777 there are hardly any stress on the motor, at least not compared to a large 3D helicopter.
For the first time ever after hearing so many people say this to me I will say it that hurts my head lol I fly 3d helis and planes and I cant even wrap my head around this outstanding job on the build and the flying!!!
This is amazing to see in such a large 3D plane I've only ever seen it in little foamies
Why would anyone put thumbs down on that flight? That is totally amazing 👍🏿

The design must have something to do with it. So impressive!
all in the video description nat
I'll tell you what first hits me as an engineer, is that high reverse beta like that might actually make low "unrecoverable" stall/spin accidents vastly more survivable, slowing the rate at impact by a LOT, especially if some electronic systems were installed to QUICKLY transition everything to the proper mode when absolutely necessary..
Not sure what's more impressive...the plane or the skill of the pilot......wow
I agree
nothing impresive, he just adds negative pitch onto the rotor head (fake propeller)
He's a great pilot. ..but this had all been done before. And a good stabilization system helps. Nice video...thanks for sharing.
I like how he parked it after he landed.
yes brilliant

It is nice to see a video without a rolling harrier. 👌
Easily the coolest RC plane ever.
thanks larry
That is Mind Blowing, He is Very Talented, changed the RC plane World Forever.
By far the coolest rc plane ever!!!
Wow! I have never seen many of these maneuvers... trying to wrap my head around it...
SF flying ....thanks so much Pete.
Bravo!! 👏👏 Very nice unit and an amazing show!! 👍👍
Nicely don and very awesome to watch thanks for the great view
Haha,an RC airplane doing RC helicopter like aerobatics. Props to the designer and pilot, for something outstanding!
"Props to the designer and pilot" ha ha nice pun!
Haha,I couldn't resist.
Until He hung it by the nose, was anyone else wondering if this complicated but cool thrust system worth the 1/8 of a second stall roll !
Outstandingly-good model aircraft and pilot.
Does the propeller-pitch control system use a helicopter-style swash-plate?
Harold Smith .....yes it does
Keith Lucas No swash plate i think, just collective pitch and a sideways tilting motor. I wonder if there would be much difference with a complete rotorhead mounted. Maybe even more control? Although lack of control is not an isue here. :^)
Espectacular 👌
thank you
Foamies have been doing this for years, now someone did it in a regular RC aircraft.
That is so cool! 43 dislikes? WTF? Collective pitch on an Airplane WOW! the possibilities and stunts could be endless?
43 laws of physics disliked.
Great performance by pilot/ plane. Omg
Man I loved it all of the stunts were awsome
thanks nathan
OMG AMAZING FLYING MY FRIEND, FANTASTIC PLANE 😁👍😁
That's pretty freaking cool! What plane did he use for the conversion?
All I can say is WOW omg.
ΑΜΑZING but Perfect!!!! ,,,from GREECE with Love!!!!
So cool! Great stills too! Thanks TBOB
Just brilliant, Marcus is truly gifted. ATB
thanks ken, he sure is
Why doesnt it have a coaxial propeller. The first machine i was thinking about was the Convair XFY Pogo with the coaxial propeller to counteract the torque
It also has lateral thrust vectoring. You should update your description.
Great innovation and amazing flying skills! A bit frustrating during the 'weird' stuff to have an extreme close-up from the camera, though. Filling the frame might be good filming technique, but as a video record for someone who 'wasn't there', it doesn't show us what we want to see. With no horizon reference there's no sense of what the plane's doing. It's like watching a jazz saxophone solo with the camera focused on the hole at the end of the instrument rather than moving back a little and showing us a stance, a face, a mouth, and some fingers. We can't see the music coming out of the end of the sax; and with the plane, we can't see gravity being defied... ;-)
I would like to see details of his prop and drive system!
I'm sure there are alot of people who would!! He is gunna patent that thing, or try, then sell it. Watch!!
sLyKnEzZ you do realize he didn’t make anything revolutionary right? He used off the shelf components available to everyone.
Crazy Skill! very nice video. Subscribed! keep them coming.
Uh it's not the only one in the world, reverse pitch on 3d r/c air planes has been around for about ten yrs or so. I had a flat out 3d foamy with reverse pitch, flew just the same as the one in video.
Skill level here is a 10+ WOW !
The real sky king
Crazy cool!!!
Amazing!
The craziest thing iv ever seen wow
Amazing pilot
this is bad ass!
How’s that work then, inverted prop but, how’s he take off then and how can he nose dive yet flying backwards....
The prop isn't inverted it's controllable pitch so the thrust can also be directed forwards the description refers to an inverted prop hang since typically the prop hang can only be performed with the prop facing up
I remember when i started flying 25 years ago people saying "hanging on the propeller? impossible: you have no airflow over the control surfaces!"
Hah!
Hanging on the propeller is nothing to get excited about... Standing on one is another matter entirely. To think that even the sucked in air would generate enough forces on the control surfaces... On such a large RC aircraft at that.
Get Sideways 25 years ago, it was pretty impressive to pull of for more than 3 seconds, especially with a PT40 with 6,5cc. Now, not so much. Go look at an indoor show: it'll make you question the laws of physics.
Plenty of airflow from propwash alone. Even full size prop planes get like 50% or more of their control from the propwash. That's why landing is so hard to learn at first. With the engine is at idle, controls are very sluggish and slow to respond. Full control deflection can be made quickly without even a wobble during final flare. Do that sitting still at Max power during engine runup check and you can cause a tail strike on SOME aircraft. Many full size prop planes also have collective pitch props and some can reverse like this. Not used quite like this! But it's helpful for taxi manuvers and reverse thrust braking on rollout
Again, the controls have plenty airflow downwind of the prop, sure. But think about the situation where the prop is reversed (i. e., standing on the prop rather than hanging off of it).
Ultraawesome!!
*Woooooouuuu*
Freaking awesome!!!
thanks brandon
This is not new. Had a flat out that have variable pitch prop(rim fire) 10 yrs ago. Still pretty cool.
That was nice! Very cool
thanks matt
I do this inside with my collective pitch foamy . But this would be great
Full size would be really impressive.
Well I've seen it all now.
Wow niceee!
thanks alex
When he was parking the plane, looks as if the video is going backwards when its normal play.
awesome
That is crazy!
sure is
Awesome
très astucieux de monter une tète d'hélico a pas variables .!
I thought maybe I smoked too much devil weed lol. Thanks for sharing a look at the future Pete! Thumbs up from somewhere in the middle of a flock of sheep looking for love in all the wrong places. Cheers, G.
@1:44 Jabba the Hutt lol
I think that re wrote the laws of physics
tony Beckwith Einstein's twitching lol
lol
lol
cool..... lower!!!
Great build and skills👍 but no need for these slow motion edits...
00.25 broken crankshaft lol.
Shit dont count 100 ft off the ground!
Np
If only this were possible with American fighter planes in WW2...
i saw no backwards flying not impressed average flying aswell
That is one RAD airplane!!!
Mr excitement...
it has secret rockets in there!
