@@j.m251 Steve kind of took "no" for an answer when he dated Myra instead, but Steve knew in his heart, "no" does not mean, "never," it just means, "not now" (and Steve knew Myra was not "Ms. Right" for him but was "Ms. Right Now").

When Steve said “I have the upmost respect for you”, that right there, he’s a true gentleman. Not to mention Steve is a true loyal person and a genuine pure hearted guy. Most guys need to be like Steve, loyal, honest, humble, and respectful.

I always gave her the side eye for that. Steve was just clumsy, annoying and emotionally manipulative but Waldo was dumb. Both dudes had a heart of gold though.

I love when Laura goes to Polka with him. Something she used to think was just one of his annoying nerd quirks, was just a bunch of people having fun.
A subtle but important moment- 42:30. Laura said she loved him too, and they did not have to kiss immediately, but held onto each other and danced cheek to cheek. Maybe silly, maybe differing realizations of intimacy, but its a great moment and lovely to see.

That was also in the first episode when Steve DID NOT beg Laura to go out with him. It was in the junior prom episode, and the second episode where Steve and Myra were dating, and Steve took Myra to the prom instead. Laura was impressed with Steve's maturity, but then she admitted she missed Steve asking her out, and Steve admitted he missed hearing Laura say no.

Steve and Laura married with two kids. Steve would be a great scientist at a university. Laura a lawyer. The daughter acts like Steve and a son who act like his uncle Eddie. Eddie would be the new police chief, Waldo have an intelligent son, Carl and Harriet would be grandparents. Just the thought.

I was wondering when you would do a part 2. This is just Nice. This series deserves a follow up. Namely with these two characters. Both Steve and Laura were truly innocent. Lol. Laura actually had Steve’s voice down packed. Lol. She made me laugh just as much as Steve did.
Hey there! I'm so glad you enjoyed this one as well. I wasn't intending to do a part 2, but I got inspired by the great response to the first one. I wish they would do a follow up too. I'd even be satisfied with a TV movie instead of a show. It's crazy how Family Matters hasn't gotten a reunion movie or show like Growing Pains, Full House, Punky Brewster, The Brady Bunch, Mad About You, Roseanne, That's So Raven, or SBTB. The show was a pop culture phenomenon and it still had great ratings when it was streaming on Hulu. Clearly there is some interest in it. Maybe one day.

It's a travesty he didn't win an Emmy. I know Family Matters was not considered an Emmy winning show because it was on TGIF, but Jaleel was incredible in that role. His performance was just as good (or better) than other winners.

I think their relationship on the show blossomed from their. I loved them together. I feel the writer's dropped the ball their should have been a wedding.
