100% My original Hudson isn't my favorite gun. It has flaws, including making me bleed when I shoot it. Having shot both, I'd take the Hudson over the Daniel any day. And yet, I still carry a Shadow Systems 😂. Great video, brother!

Honestly, even if you set aside the miriad of issues the new Gen 2 Archon Type B blows this gun out of the water. Its a modular framed FCU gun, incoming colors & metal frame options, you can configure the grip from subcompact to full size, get incredible trigger jobs that make it compete with 2011s, had decent aftermarket support, etc. The H9 is nothing but a novelty

The thing couldn’t make it through a local match. Dirty games they played to make it “run”. 80-100fps slower out of my copy compared to any other 4 inch gun. Geometry just didn’t lend itself to good mag/slide timing. Lovable looks and feel. Laughable performance. Remember Remingtons R-51? Same Same….

Been waiting on this one. After the initial hype/press release, these things disappeared. Too many suspect reviews out there on these guns. Great review and balance of points, but DD needs to take this thing back to the drawing board. Huge props to them delivering $25 mags (as long as that isnt part of the issues).
We had the exact same results as well. I’m actually curious to see what happens to it in the future. Do they update it and fix the issues? Do we see aftermarket parts for it? Or does it just fall into the oblivion of forgotten guns.

Good stuff; great job being entertaining while presenting this poor offering. I wasn't paying attention to the H9, but got interested after Daniel brought this out. This seemed like a good almost situation and would be supported, but then the issues started cropping up. Needless to say this has been available at the LGS nearly the whole time it's been out as opposed to the Shadow 2 compact or the Canik TTI or Rival S, or numerous other in demand high quality options so going to pass, but hopefully they will improve the flaws with the next offering.
Would you say the trigger is soft and spongy like a chicken soft taco or spongy AND hard like a double-decker taco? I prefer my triggers to be more like regular hard-shell tacos... crisp, but with a predictable break.

Now the plate thing I know people hate it but after watching so many MOS plates fail , and seeing a Canik plate fail in competition I rather get one quality “free” metal plate than a ton of shity free ones . Sage dynamic made a video on the M&P and found out the plate plastic plates are not word it and end up buying a metal plate . So in reality you are not saving money a lot of the free in the box shity optics plates . Seen a ton of guns in competition tuning aftermarket plates.
So I get it. I know people want a better plate. But to spend 1300 bucks and have to wait 6 weeks before you can shoot your gun the way you want is asinine. It should ship with plastic or whatever and have an upgrade to metal if someone wants it.

Literally every review of this pistol is the same thing. Did DD not fire any of these pistols before they started selling them? I find it really hard to believe that they could release a product and have no idea that NONE of them work.
I AGREE! Holy shit, was testing done by by HR or what. I tried everything to get it to run, went way further than I normally go for products. It's not a chance it didn't work. These companies get some ammo partnership and then just shoot that then release it and are surprised when it doesn't work with cheap trash ammo, which is what normal people shoot.
Even on its best day what did this pistol do that was unique enough to buy this thing at a high price. Something else on the market is better in every niche.
I don't think everything needs to be on a budget, but if you charge premium prices there better be premium performance or at least something novel and unique about the product.
I have zero experience with the SAR but sar is just cheap imported stuff. I have a SAR B6P and it's ok at best. I have an Arex Delta and it's pretty bad. The trigger is just bleh and it's gritty overall. They are easily forgetable.
@@dangerousfreedom the webbing of my thumb and index. I got fat guy hands and the webbing sticks up when I grip a pistol. So glocks rip me up and 1911s I get hammer bite but I shoot good with that grip so I’m too stubborn to fix it.

They’re committed to perfecting this firearm as their flagship pistol. Good news for us. They have the funds and capabilities to make this a great firearm. I say give it time. Maybe in another year or two it’ll live up to its price point.
