I've been hoping for a new Polestar video! Excellent content. I have a 2023 P2, so I just missed out on the 2024 improvements, which was a bit disappointing for me. I installed the 2024 style grille on mine as I prefer the looks, and got fed up of cleaning the older style one.
At 9:32 (11.10 am), you said that you had to be at the customer's address at 2 pm, and the you were on time. Something fishy happened - at the end of the video, you were doing your conclusion, taking more video of the car, yet it was already 2.48 pm. The projected trip times are usually not quite that inaccurate. Had you called the customer to explain that you would be late, or were you doing a post-delivery final good-bye to the car?
I have the older version and my efficiency is not far off what you got here. What I would like to know, is the suspension still as firm as the pre-facelift? If so, with our awful potholed roads it won't be on my list going forward. That's the one area I would really like improvement.
I have always thought the Polestar 2 a little expensive and stingy on equipment v the Model 3 but as used they are a bit of a hidden gem. The car changes, the improved standard specification and the software update do seem to have brought about a noticeable improvement. Just one question. Can you now change the ACC speed in 1 mph increments or still only in 5 mph increments? This always annoyed me a little as did non functioning buttons in car’s without the appropriate option having been specified. Nice to see the charging port in almost the same position as on Tesla’s so easier to use the Supercharger network.
@@mho0 with other cars it is the opposite way around. Long press for 5 mph increments and short press for single mph changes. That may explain why I have never mastered changes on the PS 2’s I have driven.
With the 2024 Standard Range Single Motor now having 70Kwh battery and WLTP of 343 miles, that must have a real world range of at least 250 miles, right? I am of an age where my bladder won't last 250 miles, so I reckon this will be the sweetspot of the range for me. It should be lighter too and so better handling and more efficient... unfortunately I cannot find weights for the different models on the Polestar website
It’s a very valid point you make, yet unfortunately we still find that for most buyers it’s ultimately the headline range figure which they are interested in (regardless of how it is achieved ie efficiency, weight etc). Things will change as people get more accustomed to EVs and realise that max range (used for the most part only a few days a year) isn’t the be all and end all!
I sat in one two weeks ago after lusting over one for a while. It feels very cramped inside to the point it is a struggle to open the pasanger side glove box and the huge central consol is way to big for the car thatakes it feel very cramped and claustrophobic. What finished it off for me was the arm rest and cup holders an absolutley awful pice of design.
3:02 I completely lost interest in this car when I saw how many steps on a touchscreen it took to make heating adjustments. I think these types of regular adjustments should be with buttons/knobs that the driver can adjust without looking at a screen. Not an original comment, but my point is that this sort of design choice eliminates a car from some buyers consideration. Fun to see Martin back doing a delivery!
@AndrewMcNairRatcliff I've got a volvo which has all this on and it's pretty good. I use it for all things in the car from changing music / fan speed / heated steering wheel and so on. The heated steering wheels are superb.

We are afraid, the suspension feels very similar, so definitely on the sporty edge.
I would rather want to know, will it have 100kW power at 5% SOC.
We can keep in mind to test next time we have one in stock.

Short press +-5km/h , long press +-1 km/h gradually

@@richardpiper4828 Yep. I also think that in most of my previous cars it has been 1kmh increments by default. But I like Polestar approach more.

How's the software? I hear many say it's buggy and needs a lot of hard reset? Kinda frustrating to hear

Have a P2 absolutely not an issue, 2 press or use voice command.
Voice command and done. Zero touch required.
