This is one of the most beautiful pendants I've ever seen. And thanks to you, I can make one too 🤗 I will never copy, only use your methods. You're awesome. Thanks!
Doris is stunning and so affectionate. Love the pendant too. There’s a video of Mrs Abel-Smith (whose first name totally escapes me right now - brain fart!) where she makes a green necklace with pinky-purple flowers and she uses 2 rows of wires sandwiched between 2 layers of clay but she does it in a different way and it’s equally genius. Highly recommend the watch.
I know the technique you use to cover the side and back of your pendant. I use a piece of organza fabric. The sponge can be challenging because it is rather thick. Thanks for sharing.
With all due respect to Melanie M. bc, I bought her videos, but I LOVE yours much more. Your zooming is so easy to see and follow..just wonderful video :-)
Love what you've done here, I have a little trick for you to try next time, instead of cutting your excess away with your blade, try scissors, really sharp good quality ones, makes my life so much easier with trying to keep the pieces attached, keeping the back impression clean, Then use your clay blade or a scalpel tool for finishing up and cleaning edges. Hope this helps for future, 🙏🤞💓 Thank you so much, love your tutorials 💐
Hi Deborah, sorry just realised I'd, I totally forgot to show that bit, So....when you put the backing on you can see the hole impression, so just poke it through, then bake x
merci de tout coeur pour la video c'est magnifique bravo et à la fin la visite de votre chat c'est top le mien est aussi comme ça toujours à venir voir ce que je fais
yes ha ha ha .... to be honest trying to film.... and keep inshot and at the right angle..... while doing it is soooo difficult so i make it look harder than it is ha ha ha ha
@@KathrynHalstead you did a great job. I just want to see your videos are great. Wish I’d found you earlier. I look forward to each new one you release.
Try to find a local glassblower, they may make you one for not too much money. Word of warning; not all glass rod is perfectly round from the manufacturer, see if you can check out the glass first.
Absolutely fabulous idea. Thank you for sharing. This is why it’s great to watch other people’s tutorials. There is always something to pick up 😀
I really like the way the rose cane turns into something quite abstract. Thanks for the video, Kath :)

I recognize the sponge and backing bezel tip from Dan Cormier. I’ve got to try that cord tip.
ohhh yes! I actually got the tips from Melanie Muir, she's a big fan of Dan I believe x
Achei lindo,vc faz coisas maravilhosas, mas amei mesmo o gatinho 🐈💖
Love your pendant. Do you have a tutorial on your black rose cane?
Hi, no I don't but I watched one by Fiona Able Smith and Katie Gordon, it was about 6 months ago but if you search I'm sure you'll find them x
Doris is gorgeous. I have the video you talk about and it’s great! Have you had more practice at the technique?
yes ha ha ha .... to be honest trying to film.... and keep inshot and at the right angle..... while doing it is soooo difficult so i make it look harder than it is ha ha ha ha
@@KathrynHalstead you did a great job. I just want to see your videos are great. Wish I’d found you earlier. I look forward to each new one you release.
When I first looked at the pendant I thought it was carved! You did a great job...even though you keep saying you’re not too good at this and that
We are own worst critic but I would think it was nearly perfect
Kathryn, what size cord are you using to make the hole? Is it the same kind of rubber cord you use on necklaces sometimes? Thanks.
Yes, it is! this is 1-2mm rubber cord
😍🤩
What about the hole through the back????
Дорис нравится кулон в черно белом цвете:)
Is your roller glass or acrylic? I can't find a glass roller to save my life! Anyone know where to go for those?
It’s acrylic.... not sure you can get glass ones?
Try to find a local glassblower, they may make you one for not too much money.
Word of warning; not all glass rod is perfectly round from the manufacturer, see if you can check out the glass first.
Tell Doris she is beautiful for me.
did you make your own cane for this piece ?
Hi Yes I have a separate video to show how to make the cane x
@@KathrynHalstead oh good ! I would love to be able to make one, thank you its beautiful 💕
