- CL Yachts has started a new line of yacht, the X or crossover, with this new flagship, the CLX 96. She’s exciting to look at with her reversed forward windows that give her an explorer/expedition yacht look and appeal. The plumb bow is a design that has seemingly taken over the industry as it’s efficient both from a handling characteristic as well as a design scheme providing more interior space.

When little Stevie is busting out the blazer, you know it’s fancy
Simply amazing.
It qill be great to watch your test.
I think this looks fantastic. Very different from a lot of yachts.
Wow, lovely yacht...the circle bow area is a great layout and the extended Portuguese area is indeed a unique and well-done design.
🤯🤯🤯 WOW
Very nice but not sure about that extended Portuguese bridge, it looks like it would obstruct the view of the bow from the helm. I think I would prefer either the bridge moved forward with a larger rear sun deck or the bridge extended forward to provide a more voluminous sky lounge while retaining a more conventional walk-around up front.
First thing I saw on the fly bridge was the terrible placement of the BBQ. Anyone coming up the stairs runs into whoever is cooking.
I am looking forward to the test not that I will ever afford a yacht like this. Nice to dream though, Now where did I leave my old 32 foot Contessa sailboat?
Zero fall risk while operating the fly bridge grill.
Obviously the owner won't be cleaning, because that wood treatment is a real dust trap
Personally I prefer a more cozier homie design, to me this seems medicinal and bland.
I know, if money is no object you can almost have any interior you can dream of but it seems strange that this semi-industrial trend has taken hold over the past few years.
id take to the grill rather nicely *enters smug look*
I've long been a fan of Cheoy Lee yachts and overall, for me, this gets a lukewarm reception. Is it innovative? Yes. Different? Yes. However, there are times when someone needs to metaphorically roll up the newspaper and swat the designer and interior designers in the snout and say, "NO!" The decor is not welcoming at all, shows a tremendous amount of wasted space, and will likely cause the owner to have redecorate in a couple years to "chase the vogue trend". Someone mentioned about the grill...absolutely right! Not just for the person coming up the stairs, but the person grilling takes one step back and risks tumbling down the stairs. Also...the expansive Portuguese bridge...get a red pen and cross that off the general layout and extend the bridge to a good sized skylounge and give the helmsman a good view of the bow. It wouldn't be cricket to run down some poor in a runabout because you couldn't see them while navigating an inland waterway.
Beyond that, I liked the lower deck accommodations.
Another nit...I've never been a big fan of tenders on a swim platform; in a following sea you really risk damage or just plain losing it.
Agreed on whacking the designer on the snout and saying NO!. Interior is nice but exterior styling is shit. Looks like a 5 year old drew it and couldn't make up his mind which direction it will drive.
Ya. That's affordable.
*DEAD WEIGHT TONNAGE* 😲😲😲😳😲
Yep, 90% of people that use the grill suffer a nasty fall down a flight of stairs.
That boat is hideous.
are you paid to post this everywhere?
Great design but a rip-off of the Sanlorenzo SX line - check out the Sanlorenzo SX112
that's ridicules. there's a reason why certain things look alike that has more to do with "ripping" something off.
