Pour Lui recently became one of my favourites for work. Young women don't adore it as much as some of the more "distinguished" ladies, but it's still a wonderfully unique scent. As Cubaknow would say, it's a ballsprayer.

Nice picks! I enjoy so much more seeing videos of more obscure fragrances that are inexpensive but still great quality. I have Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne and It is a nice bright, juicy citrus with more depth but similar to Dior Homme Cologne. I also have Guerlain Heritage and Habit Rouge L'eau which are also very high quality, inexpensive fragrances.
Wow. Nice to see Proraso getting some props on the channel. Been a fan for awhile now, although I actually prefer Prorao Red (sweet sandlewood musk), along with the matching shave cream. Underrated frag's, I feel. It's time for some EdT versions from them. Like you said, good Barbershop vibes 😉

I love Guerlain Ideal Cologne- glad you are giving it some attention. It is an extremely unique, high quality citrus scent. All season, really, given the warmth added to it by the almond and musk. I also have and LOVE Proraso Red aftershave. Have you tried that one, Mr. Smelly?

I really like how you occasionally mention aftershaves. I myself am I wet shaver and there are hundreds of soap and aftershave products out there that compliment many high and low end fragrances. You should do a video on that one day. Great review..

I own Fougere Royal and love it, reminds me of a very elegant version of Canoe which I also like as a cheapie! You should check out Captain's Choice aftershaves especially Venture which is their Aventus inspired scent. Inexpensive way to layer!

Guerlain Ideal Cologne I hear has been discontinued. I was hesitant to purchase it and finally did and wow, beautiful scent. Hope I run across another one for backup but is scarce.

Inexpensive hidden gems that you don't have or you haven't reviewed yet: Lalique Encre Noire A L'Extreme (highly praised by most reviewers), Carven L'eau Intense, Monotheme Bourbon Vetiver (Monotheme is an Italian brand from Venice and all their fragrances are available at Marks and Spencer). Love your reviews and you are one of the guys that inspired me to get Dunhill Icon and Bentley for Men Intense (love them both). I'm 36 by the way and I'm a DE wet shaver and I follow that huge community that atm is bigger than the fragrance one 😊
I have Aramis Havana of the 4 (or rather 6) mentioned. I also rate it and get good performance too, I wore it yesterday in fact as it's perfect for this time of year.

I would also recommend to try 'Wood & spice' the new cologne from proraso. A great winter scent with EDT performance.
Proraso lasts for exactly 2 seconds before disappearing entirely. Their EdT offerings have impressed me, though...I was planning to grab Wood and Spices next time I run across it. Great vid!

If you are considering aftershaves have you tried Woodspice from Marks and Spencer. It is a real fragrance similar in strength and projection to original Brut but much classier. In the shaving community it is regarded as a hidden gem. Some members of the Reddit shaving community are sending it to American friends. About £8 for 100ml. As you would expect woody and spicy, very old school manly but a lot classier than old spice. Gets a lot of compliments.
Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne is a great choice for the price. The performance isn't that great on my skin but still great value for money. Would check out the other recommendations too. Great video as always 👍
Any opinion on the EDT vs EDP? It's been on my radar for awhile, but haven't pulled the trigger because I really don't want to buy both. Been trying to curb that habit in 2019.
Hate l'homme ideal cologne. But that's my opinion. Really want to get the Givenchy cologne...awesome fragrance.

Nice list. My recommendation 3 hidden gems:
1)Carolina herrera ch chic for men (unique watermelon mixed with spicy/cardamom) a women magnet.
2) Chanel allure homme sport cologne - the clear bottle (underrated & often overlooked by it's other flankers and cheaper too. To me best citrus I've smelled and long lasting, very uplifting. One of my favourites.
3) Van-Cleef-Arpels TSAR (Proper manly scent with sophistication. Was my signature scent few years ago in my early 20s and got many compliments from ladies. Very long lasting and unique.
All 3 can be signature scents and will get you nice compliments. Cheers.

Just had to Rub it in. Damn you Notino for moving to the UK. I really miss them so much.
I have proraso green and red(a mild sandalwood) very nice splash on. lasts a couple of hours.Better in the role of splash aftershave than an actual cologne.

Is that a 2015 bottle of Havana? That seems to be the last year it was produced and the one all the discounters seem to have. I'm not that crazy about the performance. I'm surprised you said you get good performance from it. Try the Proraso Red (Sandalwood) aftershave as well as their Wood & Spice, Cypress & Vetiver and Azur Lime colognes.
The Proraso aftershaves are very short lasting. 15 minutes to maybe 30 minutes of longevity. If you really want to try something nice, Irisch Moos aftershave (also an edt) has some real nice longevity. It's made by Maurer & Wirtz of 4711 and Tabac fame.
As I already told Dan, layer proraso red with its pre-shave cream and it will last a few hours. I am also a DE shaver and I enjoy some fine aftershaves.
@@GeorgeKanatas I'm also a DE wet shaver and have tried to get Dan into the hobby (he'll definitely need a bigger cabinet). Where do you apply the pre-shave cream after the shave- on the neck? Similar smelling lotions usually enhance the scent. I find Proraso's sandalwood scent more pleasing than Fine Accoutrement's Santal Absolut (based on the Art of Shaving's sandalwood). While I still like the Fine version and it performs like a cologne/edt, the drydown is similar to Dana's Monsieur Musk to my nose.
@@shave-a-thon3415 You apply the pre-shave first on your neck, (behind your ears, and on the back of the neck), and then you splash the aftershave. Proraso red is my favourite sandalwood either, along with the one from Extro Cosmesi, (highly recommended if you haven't tried it yet).
On another note I love vintage DEs. Today I am going to shave with a replated Gillette new, the long comb version 😉
Is there any cologne similar to Proraso that has and lasting performance? It's a great aftershave but the scent dissipates within 20 minutes.

Totally agree, Cedrat boise smokes Aventus in my opinion I dont think its a clone but similar in vibe and situations of use. I think people should definitely look to guerlain if they're looking for quality fragrances at reasonable prices, Habit Rouge for under $50 need I say more 🤷♂️ you get one of the nicest fragrances ever made for that kinda money 👍

@@BorrowLend hey man sorry no its not a fresh fragrance its an oriental fragrance with a lot of stuff going on in it but personally I like the edt have never felt the need to get the edp but it comes down to personal taste.

If that Proraso smells like the green cap Proraso shaving cream, it's a very pleasent smell. I suggest to take a look at German after shaves next, Mäurer & Wirtz Tabac for example.

L'homme idéal Cologne is pretty good value. Smells almost unisex, I sold 2 if them to two sisters female collegue.
Proraso now has three eaus de cologne. I’m kind of curious about all of them.
In my opinion proraso as a fragrance is kinda generic and boring, but as an aftershave very good quality for money, it has a quite strong mentol that will cool your face(some people doesnt like that strong mentol)also it doesnt dry down your face like many other aftershave splash. it has glicerine so it gave you a nice feeing of moisturing your skin.

I been into fragrances since I was in middle school. I am 45 now and 2 years ago I sold off, Gave away most of my collection. I decided only to keep 10, the ones I truly loved, wore, and Havana was one of them. I wear it year round mostly at work as a service electrician.I don’t get a ton of compliments about any fragrances I wear but this one I have on quite a few occasions

yes i got dunhill icon from Notino Uk in December, great value half the price of the dept stores and such a fabulous fragrance really is a good one a great signature purchase and enjoy you can't go wrong with this one
For me Dunhill Icon is a fragrance that is in between designer and niche. I recommended it for a work colleague and he purchased 2 box sets for both his boys for xmas. I think they were around £32 each for 100ml plus the shower gel and a wash bag. I really don't think for such a lovely fragrance you would find better value anywhere. When Icon first came out 100ml was £80-90 for 100ml. And it smells like an expensive fragrance, hands down one of the nicest fragrances on the market. As for it being ridiculously cheap, what a bonus!
Cedrat Boise at £70 is an absolute bargain. It’s beast mode and it got me a ton of compliments when I wore it in the heat of south of France last summer. I like the Guerlain cologne but it can’t compare with the masterpiece of Dior Homme Cologne although I accept the latter is much more expensive
£56 at Selfridges at least it was a week ago i picked up a bottle on line from them

Proraso is similar to Mugler Cologne and compliments each other after a clean shave! I’m a wet shaver (straight razors)! The best shave ever!

Bogart Pour Homme is not a freshy, it's a cold weather fragrance, the strongest notes being patchouli and tonka. It might be classified as an aromatic fougere that sports that macho 80's vibe.

For whatever reason, Cedrat Boise turns extremely cloying and syrupy on my skin after a while, (at least, that is the experience I've had with my Notino sample), while in the case of Aventus, the pleasant warming woodsiness comes out instead. Although for my amateur nose, they are 90% similar at first smell.
i had a sample of Cerdrat Boise and wasn't sure if liked or not but after about the third time of trying i got it,, i mistook the woody smell as smokey and now pick up on the fruitiness of it so i purchased bottle selfridges £56 60ml good value and can't stop wearing it now intact i prefer over Aventus, maybe be patient with it.. good luck

Havana and Havana Reserva are two different fragrances. Havana Reserva was released in 1996 while Havana was released in 1994. Just clearing up the confusion.

i think they hey smell is the wood , i get the smokey vibe and took me a few tries to fall in love with it but once picked up the fruity blackcurrant top and the smokey wood i can't get enough of it now, love it
