Strassenbau "Umländerwiek" Papenburg: Fräse Wirtgen W100CFi / Road construction: Wirtgen W100CFi

Von August bis November 2016 ließ die Stadt Papenburg die entlang eines Kanals verlaufende Straße "Umländerwiek" umfassend sanieren. Dabei wurden der Straßenunterbau sowie die Asphaltschicht erneuert, ein bestehender Fußweg verbreitert und ausgebaut und eine Kanalbrücke durch einen Neubau komplett ersetzt.
Zu Beginn der Bauarbeiten fräst eine Kaltfräse Wirtgen W 100 CFi der FAB Stahmann GmbH die alte Asphaltschicht ab und verlädt das Fräsgut auf Sattelkipper. Die Maschine hat ein Einsatzgewicht von mehr als 18 Tonnen, eine Motorleistung von 350PS und ist in der Lage, eine 1 Meter breite Spur auf einer Tiefe von bis zu 330mm zu fräsen.
From august to november of 2016, the german city of Papenburg rehabilitated the "Umländerwiek", a local road running alongside a canal. The road foundation and the asphalt surface were renewed, an existing sidewalk was broadened and upgraded and a bridge over the canal was demolished and built completely new.
First step of the works was the complete removal of the old asphalt layer. This was done by a cold milling machine Wirtgen W 100 CFi of german contractor FAB Stahmann GmbH, the milled material was loaded onto dump trucks. The milling machine has an operating weight of more than 18 metric tons, an engine power of 350hp and is capable of milling a 1 meter wide section of the road to a depth of 330mm.
