Boy I'm glad you amended your position on the rice. In a perfect world it would be planted to germinate in wet soil/mud. Once it sprouts and grows just a bit it will 100% THRIVE in standing water. That's primarily how it's grown in an agricultural setting. "Planting" rice in actual standing water is problematic for a number of reasons. While not ideal, it can work in the right scenario to a limited degree.

I put out 75-80 pounds of Nitrogen per acre, so that is 4-5 bags of 34-0-0 per acre. Stay tuned for upcoming video, we plant and fertilize an acre of rice
