  • Captured from an ancient VHS dub of an off-air copy of "An Unearthly Child", as broadcast on the Minneapolis/St. Paul PBS station KTCA 2. KTCA used to show a lot of love for Doctor Who in the late 80s - early 90s, airing Pertwee on Friday nights, Hartnell/Troughton on Saturday mornings, and Baker/Davison/C Baker/McCoy on Saturday nights. This clip is the brief introduction that would run before the Hartnell episodes during the late 1980s

    Vision and technology of it’s time…yep, cardboard sets, bad acting, effects on a shoestring budget😂

    While going through my old VHS tapes, I found a cleaner version of that Hartnell intro. Plus, as an added bonus, it also contained an advertisement for the first Doctor Who convention that came to the Twin Cities: KTCA Doctor Who - May 1986 - William Hartnell Episodes Disclaimer and Festival Advertisement

    Much thanks for that! I was first shocked, in 1985, when they went from "Revelation of the Daleks" (where I was hyped and ready to see what would happen next week), to William Hartnell's era. I quickly became a fan of Hartnell's era...
