Transports me back to my youth. Late 1970s. UC Berkeley off-campus apartment. Eloy, Jane, Bo Hansson. Roommate bought many second-hand vinyl albums for approx $2 each. Some, like this, stand the test of time.
sorry hope i don´t "nerv?" you.....this song throws me back to my youth.....no hope..no chance...had to wait to get 18...to be free...then to finish my aprrenticeship ...to earn money ..to leave home...stay on my own feet....listening to this song those days from dawn to dawn...when i remember it was a wonder .alone ....misunderstood.....only thing i had was music....that saved my live...thank you jane...thank you pink floyd...thank you manfred Manns earth band...thank you stones....thank you so many other bands.....
love them since Jane III Release...even if i only was 9 years old those days - heard it on tape - my cousin was a fan - maybe that was my first contact with jane - since that day i play it again and again - those of you who still listen to this know what this means to me - my mind leaves me - i go to places somewhere outside - to far away places - and be sure - don´t need drugs to leave my body - only jane - i was so lucky to see them LIVE 2 or 3 times live... Charly Maucher was alive then - - so sorry he died - Jane - or the rest of the band - will not be the same.....so sad...have to add something...think this is one of the songs next to floyds dark side of the moon. any colour you like...songs that helped me through my unhappy youth...music can help you to stay alive.....
All their albums are amazing, my personal favorite is Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Thats just a masterpiece of creative vision. What do you guys think, would they had more success in the west if they had a proper english singing vocal? This broken english with heavy german accent gives Jane a lot of flavor imho.
I agree Slaven, Fire, Water, Earth and Air is up there with the finest German symphonic prog records of the 70es, though I personally like their debut album “Together” a bit more. Similar to Eloy and Grobschnitt I also found vocals with heavy Teutonic accent very authentic compliment to complex music they produced.
Jane was likely always destined to be a fringe band. A decent singer might have upped their prospects. Or maybe not. I always just appreciated their instrumental proficiency. Especially the dirty guitars. But that was what? Almost 50 years ago now. Time flies.
What an Epic,It's a shame "Dadrock" died really, guess that's what happens when you live in a Capitalist Society and they decide to give all the buying power to dumb kids. I just want to play some RIFFS for gods sake!
Was für ein endgeiles Lied 😊😊😊
JANE:
-Charly Maucher - bass, vocals
-Klaus Hess - guitar
-Wolfgang Krantz - guitar, keys
-Peter Panka - drums, percussion, vocals
Большое спасибо за эту песню этой очень недооцененной германской группы!

I was 6 years old when they're releasing this album in 1974!
It's amazing what Covid will find, brilliant song, brilliant band, but can't help but feel that they were left in the shadow of Who's Next.
like everything about this song
and album ....
they´ve done an absolutely great job. know´em for almost 40 years now and I´m still fascinated by what they´ve created...
Superb extreme esoteric psychedelic rock!!! ♧ ~•~
Muito bom. Tenho.
The 70's, the best song by Jane

🎉 Vergangenheit
So geil!
super
Awesome band, love this but my favourite album is Sign No 9. But all albums are great.
I thought I was the only one who thought that No.9 is an awesome album!!
Der Wahnsinn, damit bin ich aufgewachsen
Превосходно!
Wonderfully!!!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! I"m going to buy this album!
Do it babe!
Reminds me (at least this great song) of Eno's 801 live album. Manzanera/Ronson/Hendrix/Gilmour style of guitar and just as great.
I like third uncle from 801 !!
👍👍👏👏👊👊
SUPER 😎
This album is their best... but their 1st album "Together" is very close...
Thanks -

Underbart
Why does this playlist say this is the Here We Are album. It's not, it's Jane II like the photo says.
Now go listen to "Three Day's" by Jane's Addiction and tell me if that is not a coincidence.
Nope
@@alannroussell4767 Discovered Jane last year... Love them! What did you think of "Three Day's"?
@@nicknoneya7485 Just found Jane myself used to listen to Addiction years ago and that song reminds me of something I can't put my finger on

Gegen 'unsere" Jungs, sahen fast alle anderen bands aus wie beschissene Anfaenger. Basta!
Jane III ist besser als 95% von Floyd

Not bad. Pretty basic chords, repetitive, not too inventive. If they're classified as progressive rock, they're one of the least progressive.
