    14:12 - this is tricky because the execs a CEO might wish to sell to (the internal team) don’t want to pay an arms length multiple - yet they might threaten to leave if an outsider wishes to buy the firm.

      can be tricky. we also discussed that an outside search for leadership successors is more typically not considering whether they want to be owner successors. yet many owners of technical services firms want to explore sale to internal managers. often there's disconnect if execs or managers are not inclined to take on the risk or responsibility of ownership.
