Ah yes, and just like the Combo Players like to say when they build a board of 13 Omni Negates and 23 Interuptions in hand..."Just draw the Out" That medicine is rather bitter isn't it?
@@hatefulgaming1800 Do you understand what I meant by "Bitter Medicine"? It points out how they can't complain that Stun is Toxic when their own "Gameplay" is Toxic. It's the old saying "Taste of their own Medicine". Combo Decks do 1 and/or 2 things in Modern Yugioh. 1. Go first and set up a board that prevents your opponent from being able to play the game through Negates and Interruptions. 2. Break Boards and OTK(Win in one Turn) before your opponent can Clap Back. There are a handful of exceptions to this rule, but even the Exceptions are still designed to play as much as possible while preventing your opponent from being able to play the game. There is a reason why Combo is generally nicknamed Solitaire. Stun is just unabashed at pointing out they are trying to prevent you from playing the game.
Stun has got to be by far the worst way to play yugioh. There's nothing worse than listening to your opponent bitch and moan for 10 turns about how bullshit this game is then looking down at the 3+ floodgates on board and thinking "he's got a point". It's like trying winning in a fighting game by unplugging your opponents controller. Even if you win it was still lame as hell
Wait, do your opponents not end up saying that anyway? I legit cannot think of a deck everybody agrees is both fair and fun. The game does kind of suck, I'm just here because I failed to overcome sunken cost fallacy
I disagree with the analogy, not because I like stun(I don't) but it's just wrong. At some point on 25 years people should accept that stun cards exist and either run a bit of board clear or just accept you 40 card, hyper consistency deck is going to fold to a strategy that counters it. Sort of like if the 2nd player in your example just...used a wireless controller. Like look at that last match. Opponent literally used 1 board wipe card(dark hole) and beat his ass for game.
@@P4brotagonistrespectfully, your analogy is equally as disagreeable/bad Because you're kind of saying the equivalent of "just draw the out", to a playstyle that circumvents the point of playing the game. If most people see stun and just scoop, that's not a sign of healthy game design.
@aspiringemperor9518 most people see stun and scoop because their decks have no outs because they won't run them. I really don't care much for ancient Yugioh but I never saw people instantly scoop when gravity bind hit the field. And yes literally just draw the out, except you can't because yugioh is compressed into 3-4 turns now and there's no way or time to fully draw the out anymore when you've blown your whole load on turn 1 and Desired your outs facedown and whatnot.
Today I went to my locals (lod premiere) went 2 and 2 with my rda and somehow. With just 8 hand traps, managed to defeat a snake eyes.....😅 and took the 1st place out of the guy.
The problem is when they're pulled along for 15 turns, not playing for fifteen turns. In my opinion, control decks are the ideal. Lower end combo is normally fine. Ftk style boards and stun are kinda the worst in my mind.
Diabellestar can only special summoned once per turn by her inherent effect (send one card to GY then summon). MBT negated the first summon, so that doesn't count.
@rmydra9219 For activated effects that summon, it would've been "used" for the turn. Diabellstar has a built in summon that allows it to be special summoned once that way. You can attempt to summon it that way as many times as it takes until you successfully do so.
