Your point of paying attention to who you purchase your materials from is very important. I would rather pay more knowing I’m supporting an artist/maker who is passionate about their craft. Thank you for this video.
Thank you very much. This means a lot. It is our responsibility to provide the competitive price. Being said, it is very helpful when a customer cares who is providing it. Our dream is to make Sashiko "open source" and keep enjoying the crafting Sashiko together. Every purchase from us is a great support for our dream. Thank you.
I've been trying to expand on my embroidery skills for a while, and came across your channel. I must say I love it. Sashiko reminds me of how my Chinese grandmother would mend my shirts. Similar, but not as neat as your work and the boro reminds me of the American "patchwork" and again it looks beautiful and the stitching makes it look more unified compared to typical American patchwork. I'm going to have to try out this sashiko thread. You had me sold when you said it was 4 strands. I've been working with DMC 6 strand cotton embroidery thread and I always have to pull out 2 so I can work in my preferred 4 for my thicker stitches, but separating removes weakens the natural twist and makes my work a little uneven. I'm excited to try this style of mending. Thank you for posting so many wonderful and educational videos.
I just enjoy this young man's style of teaching so much. His love for this art form is quite evident. Please continue to make your videos the same as always. Thanks.
Sashi.Co Thank you! I look forward to learning more about this art from you. I ran across your site when looking for ways to patch my boys' jeans. My sons (20 & 17) said that would be "so cool". I'm so glad you're sharing your skills with the world.
I'm new to sashiko so need all the helpful tips I can find. I am finding your videos some of the most informative and by far the easiest to follow. Your enthusiasm is infectious and has given me even more of a desire to get creating than I already had. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. PS Your english is more than sufficient and way beyond most of us manage as a second language.
Thank you very much for posting this information! Do not worry about your English, it is excellent so no problems there. Please keep up this good work.
I cannot buy SashiCo thread as I live on Madeira island and the postage is prohibitively expensive. However I can buy Hardanger yarn which looks very similar. It is more economical for me to donate to you on Patreon.
Hello, thank you for this very interesting video. Can you tell us more about which types of sashiko threads are best for different types of fabrics? Thank you.
we call the individual pieces... strands. 4 ply has 4 strands. do you know which way this thread twists? I am enjoying all the information you have given us, it helps in choosing what items to use for different projects. Thank You

Very beautiful and popular thread. Almost everything sold out unfortunately.

I am going to try sashiko stitching with Patons dk cotton yarn. It looks similar weight to the original.
The weight isn't the primary factor of the thread for Sashiko. It is how it is made. I hope you would have a chance to try ours. Thread does matter.
Enjoyed your video....very helful!
Thank you!
