Respect 👍🏻 to you pair and the rest of the family for allowing us to join you on this journey through time..... 😮😊.. got to love looking back as much as looking forward.. stay safe 🏴
So lovely to see ye taking pride in the history of the house and saving as much information pictures artefacts for the next jeneration . Memories are all we are left in the end.❤
Good to see more house work! Got a very similar situation at our family farm, how long has the house been in that condition because although ours was inhabited 5 years ago it’s has seen any maintenance for 25 years and I’m wondering if in your house the structure is gone or is it still in a good shape?
Good luck with the refurb .. I hope you and Liv have a long and very happy life in the house and make lots more great memories ... thanks for sharing 👍
you could carry on those pictures with the drone, before house, machinery shed and farmshop and after. Maybe do it for a few neighbours too. Just an idea 👍
Cracking bit of history. My grand uncle has a collection of some old Scottish paper money, what gets me is the size of them compared to modern day plastic notes and even the last of the paper notes
Ah yeah the old notes were big, back in the day money was made for minding not spending and you needed the notes good and big so you could stack them high.😅
Nice find on the old coins! I saw you had an American quarter in there. If it’s 1964 or older, it’s made of mostly silver. The US went to copper after that.
Great video again Phil & Liv. I remember the old pound notes and the 5 pound note and the coins. I still have an old half crown some 6d and some 3d coins.
Liv and Phil, loved this video on seeing some of the wonderful history you have found. We remember some of the notes. Be really interesting to see how you progress the house and what history you put in the new farm shop. Well done both
I find the every day things from way back very interesting. Just as a side note if you find a British penny dated 1933 it is very rare and worth thousands so keep a good look out!!
Fun fact , my wife is directly decended from Oliver Cromwell . I need to taker her on a tour of Ireland 🇮🇪 to see the sites of his atrocities. Good luck with the house. That Blue beacon needs to go on the tractor pulling the slurry tanker. 😊😅😊
Great bits of history in the old house. It’s time consuming to go through it all. “Land under water for 9 months “ so much for global warming 🧐. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼. Remember the old paper money, 10 shillings.
It's great to see all the old things making an appearance 😅. Just be careful of how much you show. There are plenty of bast...... (people) how would love to pay you a visit to lighten the load of your old collectibles. Best of luck big man.
Sadly the piano probably isn't financially worth repairing, you'd be very lucky to get €50 for it. It would make a nice ornamental piece of furniture, something that sits in a front room or hallway
“The ould Dominator…… that was some prick of a thing” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Respect 👍🏻 to you pair and the rest of the family for allowing us to join you on this journey through time..... 😮😊.. got to love looking back as much as looking forward.. stay safe 🏴
Liv, if farming don't work out, audio books for you...

Cracking bit of history. My grand uncle has a collection of some old Scottish paper money, what gets me is the size of them compared to modern day plastic notes and even the last of the paper notes
That’s from back in the days when a pound would buy you some gold or silver
Ah yeah the old notes were big, back in the day money was made for minding not spending and you needed the notes good and big so you could stack them high.😅
Your beaver hat was made in beaver row Dublin 4 Donnybrook on the side of the river dodder

Hopefully your architect has specified dry lining for the old house, well worth doing.
Our builder specialises in restoring old buildings and churches so the plan is to lime plaster the house
I bet there's a funny story behind that police becon 😂
Make sure you leave a room for a nursery .

Their was some value in that ten pound note
Probably could of bought a new tractor back then😂😂😂
