Kakadu and companion are exactly the same water heaters, camplux and bougerv are the same as well. I think there’s a Chinese manufacturer that makes these and sales then in different presentations.
We have heard there is a version of the Kakadu that sells in Australia and runs a bit cheaper but to get it to the States it winds up costing the same. I didn't think the Kakadu was made by a Chinese manufacturer but I suppose you never really know these days! So far we've absolutely loved it! We'll be using it again next month and the following.
To my knowledge, it's fixed at 0.5-0.6gpm with no adjustability. HOWEVER, there is more than 1 shower head setting so it does help with pressure. Personally, I'm one to crank up the pressure at home via removing the water saver inside the showerhead but the Kakadu works well for camping. I was able to shower twice a day for 4 days while at Windrock and only had to bring 2 jerry cans (15gal total) of water and still had a little left over for brushing teeth/etc. Higher water flow/pressure and I'd have to bring another 50-100lbs or so of water so it's a trade off we're willing to make.

Please tell me you had the water pressure flow rate choked down. Very weak pressure.
