I was lucky enough to meet Sarah on this day, she was so sweet, took a picture, gave me a hug and just made that day the best one ever. It was my last day and i was just leaving and this brightened me up. Thanks again sarah!
Holy crap guys, your video quality is genuinely insane. The colour grading is literally perfect and it's so crisp that I questioned if some shots were a 3D render
7:42 That piece of track is actually new track. It was one of the pieces just after the lift, on the turn towards the first drop. It didn't actually fit into place, not sure how that happens, but during construction the ride was left uncomplete because they had to wait for a new piece to arrive
The colour grade on this is expert level and just the editing in general adds so much to your videos, it really makes your content stand out amongst the rest.
3rd time is a charm! Alton has been way up there on my bucket list since I was a young thoosie, in no small part due to Nemesis. The whole park just oozes charm, groundbreaking and uniques coasters, and other rides that just push the envelope in their perspective areas.
This video made me so happy, it is a fantastic ride and I am glad you enjoyed it (and you were impressed with John Wardley's idea of placing the station at half the height of the ride plus shoving it in a hole). The reopening sounds amazing and far better than the original opening day in 1994
I gotta say that the montage of Nemesis was phenomenal. It was so cinematic and the transition to add the red color was so fluid. Props to you Taylor and Sarah and I’m glad you got to ride Nemesis Reborn and an amazing video as always
Great to finally see this vlog! Loved the montage from 5:35, particularly as you used my favourite part of the soundtrack! The weather looked pretty decent too.
The closest coaster to compare Nemesis to for sure is Black Mamba at Phantasialand, as it clearly took insprirations from Nemesis, bc both AT and PHL have similar hight restrictions.
the two pieces of track inside of the queue are actually the last 2 pieces that didn't fir properly during construction so they just recycled them as theming
So glad you both finally got on Nemmy! It really is a phenomenal upgrade, and it's even better at night 😍 Also, the new flat ride is a Huss suspended top spin and is fully assembled on the plinth now!
Will get to have to wait till next year to ride but it looks cool. Havent been to Alton Towers in about 6 years. It was my first time as well, and was kinda underwhelmed with Nemesis as a coaster. But the ride staying low to the ground most of the ride made it pretty fun.
I haven't ridden Nemesis Reborn, but overall I think so many parks missed the mark when it comes to inverts. My only other invert was Dragon Challenge at IOA (RIP) and the height still meant it didn't quite hit the same level of intensity that Nemesis has, as the whole ride is basically one long foot chopper. As for the prominence in UK coaster lore, while it wasn't the first thrill coaster at Towers (Corkscrew was - hence its presence at the entrance plaza) but it was one of the first in the country that got the attention of the wider world especially in the year that was 1994 (where Nemmy, Shockwave AND The Big One opened). I'm so glad it's been rebuilt, and I will be able to take my son on it as its operational life has been extended by another 20+ years.
nemesis reborn in america would be one of the best themed coaster in america but in europe its just average theming edit: ok so what i mean by this is that nemesis reborn has good theming
Have you been to the US? Cosmic Rewind. Expedition Everest. Velocicoaster. Hagrids. The last three blow Nemesis: Reborn’s theming away. Sure, Nemesis has excellent theming, it along with Wicker Man are probably the best in the UK. But thinking Nemesis Reborn would be the best themed ride in the US, is just laughable dude.

8:12 it was an amazing experience but the queue went down the the curse at Alton manor and was a 5 hour wait but me and my parents waited until around lunch and it was only an hour and 30
@@grovsey3656 look up hd povs of nemesis from 2011/2012 when they still had the river of blood, especially in autumn when all the trees are dead. montu doesn't have you almost colliding with the ground every 2 seconds
You'll have to return to the UK during October when most parks operate till late plus the UK has a ton of great scare attractions to boot, Thorpe Park this year felt very similar to Halloween Horror Nights in terms of setup.
7:42 that piece of track was actually ment to be part of the new ride but that and another piece diddnt fit right when in construction so they had to wait a while for more track to me made and hand-painted

Id argue corkscrew put them on the map, the uk had blackpool pleasure beach and then alton towers got a steel inverter and then exploded the 80s were strong at the park, the 90s saw a massive wave of investments when tussuads aqquired the park and John Wardley started designing. Runaway mine, rapids, the original haunted house pre duel (its on its 3rd makeover) all came before Nemesis. Nemsis cemented its place as the uks most popular park. When merlin took over investment flipped between Thorpe, Alton and Legoland and a lesser extent Chessington, alton needs to keep up with work on the scale of the nemesis reborn project the park needs so much tlc. Its still great but its magic era i think was 90 to 2000.
I once waited for over an hour to be in the front row on the last ride of the day. Turns out there were three people already on there and only one spot for one of us to sit in the front row. I've ridden Nemesis since the year it opened. I've lived within 90min of AT for my whole life and had a season pass for many many years and rode Nemsis many many hundreds of times. But I've not been to AT for years, beside Nemesis Reborn it's become a shadow of its former self. Short opening hours, poor variety of rides, no sky ride, poor up time and insanely high entry price. I recently came back from Orlando where I did both Busch and Seaworld and they make AT look like an absolute embarrassment. If Universal brings similar quality to their UK park I can't see AT existing for much longer.
Nemesis Reborn is good during the day, but at night it's a different beast. Looks absolutely incredible in the dark as well.
honestly I think nemesis looked a lot scarier before when it had the river of blood and it was extremely rusty looking
