- For months, FOX 12 Investigates has followed the concerns of neighbors in northwest Portland faced with a problem they say defies common sense.

This is not harm reduction. This is not compassion. These homeless advocates are patting themselves on the back for enabling addiction.
Because they make money from it!
Shut them down, cut off funding. This is unacceptable. Enabling is not helping, making it worse for the community.
Outstanding journalistic work folks! The Metro Area thanks you, and I’m sure the City does as well.
Going on line as a reporter took some chutzpah, Mr. Ferryman, you deserve an award for serving your community.
Thank you
Thank you, Jay. I appreciate you saying that.
I didn't realize I get to bring my needles into school zones now. This is great news!
Make these “harm reduction” organizations clean up all the needles they handed out.
Enabling drugs is criminal and these organizations should be arrested and held accountable !! It’ is against the law to provide drugs and paraphernalia is criminal !!
Look at the map sometime all of Portland is basically “a school zone”- especially in Northwest. Though it’s very telling that you wouldn’t do the story about the school. I live a block away from where the city has people camping 24 seven 365 days a year. Guess it’s only a problem if that happens in the “rich neighborhood” But the fact is that these parents can afford to send their children somewhere else and this channel is just sensationalizing normalcy. Like the Trump admin calling everything “fraud”- dude was literally convicted for stealing from a children’s cancer fund. I guess he really knows what Fraud looks like, I guess these parents must be all be on drugs then? 😂
Bear spray the chow line 😂
Follow the money. STOP these people.
New seasons methadone clinic at 164th and division all patients are threatening towards neighbors. Why don't you investigate New seasons methadone clinic at 164th and division?
I guess the question who is funding these groups and calling them out to damage that is happening. In your report last time, the worker said that children should just get used to seeing this since they live in a big city. Totally unacceptable, making drug abuse more normalize does not create less addicts.
Change the way you vote , Make Oregon Great Again !!!
What happened to the LAW that states posession or distribution within 1000ft of a school is a felony???
This is not ok. Shut them down. Permanently cut funding amd stop coddling drug addicts. Tough love.
Portland's lawlessness is ridiculous.
Who TF is funding these “harm reduction” activists?
democrats
Soros
@@patricktrepanier how silly, do some research
"we have different definition of what right or wrong" that's they answer??? They need all the funding and dont care what is right or wrong...
You know,as a life long Oregonian I really resent these people trying to normalize these dysfunctional dynamics and force them onto people. Instead of keeping it weird they want to keep it dysfunctional. They have lost sight of reality. They think it means keeping a bunch of weirdos beyond what weird is.
Done with the wokeness yet Portland? No, probably not. Complete cess pool , but my property taxes just keep rising. Shameful
You. Wokeness is exACTLY the problem.
And then you vote for it!
Governor Mayir needs to stand up for our children. Move this distribution away from our schools!
Their differences between Right and Wrong are different according to the ones distributing the paraphernalia!!
Hey Portland - it's time to clean up your culture - things are changing and it's time for y'all to lead the way in your community.
Keep Portland weird is fine but keep Portland sick is getting old fast.
Some people here have lost sight of reality when the safety of drug addicts is more important than the safety of kids and regular people. They have school zones for a reason. There so called outreach is a joke. They probably voted for 110 also so let them have the drug addicts go to there house to get it from them.
This is how much Portland Street Medicine pays it's two top founders: Compensation
Key Employees and Officers Compensation Related Other
Amanda Jensen (Employee) $132,296 $0 $0
Wren Ronan (Director Of Programs) $98,788
Not bad for 'non profit.' Have several employees who get paid 0. What a joke, they should be prosecuted for enabling drug use.
Enough is enough ❤
Typical Portlander non-answer from these people.
Ahh, Portland. When are you guys going to stop voting for the progressive idiots that advocate for this kind of crap? Orange man, bad - this WORSE.
What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with voting! Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about and also clearly didn’t listen to the story of what has been going on. You rather speak nonsense to get others agitated. Not everything comes down to voting. This is an organization that decided they knew what was best and they are wrong. No one here that lives in Portland agrees with what is happening. I live a few blocks away from this location and it’s awful. Also this is why we elected a new DA. But you probably didn’t know that either because you don’t actually take the time to research.
@@manny2562 LOL, "research". The only thing you research is the nearest bukkake party.
First off, you don't live here. You don't and cannot understand squat about this city, state or region. Therefore, you should keep your ignorant thoughts to yourself.
Secondly, that has literally ZERO to do with anything. Your ignorance is on display. You might want to zip that up.
Thirdly, this is a proven method to prevent the spread of serious diseases. The issue isn't that they're doing this, it's WHERE they're doing it. But, clearly, you already know that. 💩 🤡
Lastly, WHY are you watching our local news about everyday things you can't begin to grasp? Just trolling like the MAGAt you are? 🐛

Do you know what is really pathetic? Trolling on your kid's account. That's disgusting. Shame on you.
Why Democrats? Why do you not care about our children and our country? You absolutely don't care at all!!!!!!
Our city’s been WOKE so long that people think enabling druggies is normal and ok. DISGUSTING!
Thank god there's a real DA now and the Mike Schmidt Show has left town.
Democrats would have us believe they care about kids, BUT, do they? Actions speak louder than words.
It's Oregon, why is this a surprise. This state drops money on a problem and it's like fertilizer in your garden, it helps it grow. Except for Education, in that case it goes the other way.
Providing needles and providing education regarding addiction is legal through designated legal organizations is needed. AIDS and HIV is a reality that needs to be addressed, spread if infection due to reusing dirty needles also needs to be addressed. Support of organizations that educate is always a necessity and needs to be supported.
Taking notice to something which has been openly going on for years, huh...
So, is this just for us to take notice of their taking notice?
Do better reporting
If you make it, they will abuse it.
STOP ENABLING !!!!!!!!!!
