I love being a BMS. I’m glad I chose it over medicine because you are involved in improving healthcare as well as supporting diagnoses. A lot of what we do not only affects the patient, but also the way the service is delivered.
Great video, but I would also like to add that as a biomedical science graduate myself, dont feel that you are limited to just becoming a registered biomedical scientist in a hospital. I did a placement year after my second year (at a contract research organisation) and that enabled me to return to the same company as a scientist after graduation. I currently now work as a research technician at a university research lab. Working in research is another possible career path. therefore, doing an IBMS accredited course isnt needed if you are considering a research career.
hey,im still in 8th grade but i was interested in biomedical science, since you are a biomedical science graduate is it actually that difficult?

Hi aryan
Could you please make a video to explain what shall I do for find job after graduated.
Specially for how came from abroad and what certificate we need for go to NHS.
Thank you very much indeed
Hello brother thank you very much for the information. I am going to come to study Biomedical Sciences this year. I want to know that if I completed my registration portfolio in the sandwich year then could I use my third year course for assessment of a specialist diploma in Biomedical Sciences or I have to atleast do 1 year of job in order to get specialist diploma certificate?
Do you need a science degree pre biomed training? I don’t see a path yet to go directly to it. Perhaps a complete training from nothing to being a researcher and perhaps even career paths from then on video could be useful, thanks.
Is it possible to do this as a second career? I always wanted to be a scientist/work in the sciences. This would be a second career especially since my undergrad degree was unrelated. I’m in the US.
Recently got accepted to study Biomed! Would you recommend a laptop or ipad?
Biomedical sciences and biomedical scientist both are same course
Do i really need to take a gap year to complete that portofolio? Cannot i just complete it during college?
Hi...can you tell me about postgraduate biomedical science in Haematology. Does kingston university is good for it as international students?
Can I do biomedical science if I did diploma in Applied Biology
Good video! But the IBMS registration is not necessary if you go into research or biopharma industry, I suppose. At least this is NOT mandatory in Belgium. I have M.Sc in Biomedical science. Worked in Biotechnology industry for 5 years and am now pursuing a PhD. I'm pretty sure this is possible in the UK too, because why else would there be accredited and non-accredited degrees, right?!
To work in the NHS, working with patient samples for diagnosis: YES, accreditation definitely needed!
I have also done biotechnology now iam planning to do masters in biomedical science in uk leeds.. Is it a good decision for me..????.
So basically its about working with the NHS ?
I do love biology, but not chemistry 😢 do you think its possible to study this
Is there any difference between IBSM and Royal society of biology ?
What if my bms degree is not accredited by ibms? Is there any other way?
hi aryan sir iam from india i want to become a heart surgeon + scientist iam preparing for pre med exam for pursuing mbbs in 2023 but as you said chemistry and biology but i dont like chemistry I only study because organic is inrested and and i have to score good marks in it for qualifing pre med exam
Thanks for English language!
In biomedical sciences course any maths related subject are there
This course work only in lab or hospital
Is there an advantage to studying dental when you have a degree in biomedical science
i have a question
is it difficult to get a standard job after graduation in biom..
Hi, biomedical sciences course is easy or tough to study and after completing this course can we easily find jobs or not
Can biomedical scientist diagnose a patient
Can a msc chemistry student also do research in biomedical science please reply
Hi- I’m not good at chem and I’m supposed to study med micro but no private schools offers it 😞
Hey you found it or not
Loved the video. How can I get to you?
Also do t do biomed if you want to medicine, do an allied health course like pharmacy, nursing etc
How can I get into lab for completing the training portfolio?
I believe you just contact companies that recruit biomedical scientists and see if they offer the training scheme
What kinds of jobs we can get
Is the placement year equal to sandwiches year
Yes, it’s the same thing 😊
I have done my undergraduation in India and am planning to do my masters in medical genomics in the UK. Should this course be also IBMS accredited?
hey could you let me know where you did your undergrad in india and how was the course in general. thanks
